Just read that the Lakers have a 7 game road trip. This will end one of two ways:
! THE LAKERS ARE DARK HORSE CONTENDERS! OMG, FAP FAPFAPFAP
! Or fans like Gueta pulling their remaining hair out, "Blow it up, the world sucks"
Also this is funny

Or fans like Gueta pulling their remaining hair out, "Blow it up, the world sucks"
I might as well post now because these morons are not getting back to .500
-
Yeah I thought they could finally do it, but after their loss to the Suns?
Nah let's just forget it.
-
What do you think about the Rudy Gay trade?
I don't like it very much because all 3 teams add depth to positions/player type where they already where good.
Gay's pretty similar to DeRozan and Ross, Grizzlies add Davis to Arthur and Randolph, Pistons are now a guard-heavy team (Calderon, Knight, Stuckey, Bynum and Singler will have to fight for minutes) -

Only time will tell if the Grizzlies turn out to be better without Gay.
Also, I brought up this point earlier in the thread about the league transitioning into the small-ball mentality, but everyone ignored me :getlost:
Well, the association abolished centers from the all-star ballot this year as a result of waning quality of big men. Do you think that the NBA takes the next step when they name the All-NBA teams? I bring this up because no big man in the league has outplayed Lebron, Durant, or Melo this year. Some years true PFs have taken the traditional center spot, but will the reigns be let even looser? If these 3 talented wings are named as the first-team frontcourt, it would officially mark the league's transition to and acceptance of small lineups. -
I'll be back here later to fill this thread with Jeff Green dunks

Shameless triple post
Here are the dunks as promised! The grown man way to finish a fast break
!
And a closer view:
! >!! GET OUT OF HIS WAY
-
with Sullinger out, he'll likely have the chance to finally breakout
re-watching the Raptors-Clips game, it's clear that Toronto now has an impressive trio of high-flying swingmen, but only if Gay can develop into a legitimate team leader, I could change my opinion on this trade
-
Uncle Drew is too fucking legit. Unreal. Good on him beating OKC.
Also, lol Kings.
Sucks that MKG and Duncan got hurt tho. MKG looked dead, shit is awful.
-
Just watched the 'Mr. Fourth Quarter' video that NBA.com put up of Irving. Seeing that, it's hard to believe that he doesn't average 40 points a game.
-
EarlclarkDAGOD This kid knows hustle. Got mad respect for him. Can't believe dumbfuck Pringles never played him before Hill was out for the season
Both LA and Boston survived today as they both had +15 pt leads only to almost blow them completely. For shame. At least they both won so that's good, but Lakers need to learn how to close out, it's happened too many times already.
-
oh yeah….the Cs are the streakiest team ever. Since Christmas, 4 losses, 6 wins, 6 losses, now 4 wins.
-
We are looking good right now Vs the Nets.
-
I don't care if you hate him or the Lakers, for a man to do THIS SHIT at 34 years of age…
goddamnmamba. #countonkobe

isn't it funny that the Lakers are playing better without Howard?
And I think anybody with a sane mind never doubted Kobe is a great player, but the team was utterly bad up until 2 weeks ago. Let's see if this streak can put them on the right path for the rest of the season.I'm just amazed at Houston. Scoring 140 points in regulations with 23 threes is surely an impressive feat. Also, with Harden only scoring 18. Talk about team effort.

Jackson (GS coach) told his players to only foul the Rockets every time down the court so they wouldn't break the 3 point record….hilarious.
Anyways sucks that Gasol is injured AGAIN. These injuries really make certain match-ups less exciting.
Only 6 of their 10 supposed starters will be playing in the Lakers-Celtics game tomorrow :( -
The streaky green dudes strike again!
What I noticed from that game:
- It's so easy to get separation against the Lakers
- Terry and Pierce take the most douche-bag shots against the Lakers apparently
- Howard shouldn't have played
- As much as I love Nash, seeing him get raped by Bradley was fun
- I'm going to weep when Kobe, Pierce, and Garnett retire. WEEP
-
lakers came back losing by 20 lol. says more for charlotte than LA
and holy fucking hell @ Lebron and the Heat. Why you gotta do em like that, man. It's just not fair. Almost 100% FG percentage, dude. Unreal. Clips getting mad.

Only watched the third quarter, Bryant was just selfish (too many dribbles and shots) and did not get the others involved. It was crystal clear that they were gonna lose. I mean in the 2008 finals, he was making lots of assists which made him dangerous and harder to predict.
However, I do admire Kobe for his passion for basketball (the guy practices hard) but he sure did not play with intelligence.
Yeah, I admit its gonna be sad when they retire (they were really memorable). I must say that despite his age Garnett is still playing well (he continued to practice).
-
he needs to play like that all the time. he can't afford to be a ballhog in his age now. he needs to play with that playmaker position like he was for the past few games before the Boston one. He got 8 assists yesterday against Charlotte, tho.
-
When the Cs face an elite player they pretty much lockdown on their teammates and force the player to shoot jumpshots. Plus in those national televised games, especially rivalry games, big players are going to shoot.
In Kobe's case, he was racking up points. He definitely did not hurt the team that game. He hit some unbelievable shots, especially at the start of that 3rd quarter. Maybe if he missed those, it could be argued that he wasn't a help.
Kobe didn't pass a whole bunch but would've had some assists had his teammates made a few shots (they pretty much missed every corner 3)
It really blows that he's in the situation when he's having such a good year. With his professionalism and huge ego, he's sure to blame himself but little to nothing is his fault. He was supposed to have most help since he changed to #24, but injuries, chemistry issues, etc is having him work like its 2006. Not fair to him at all
-
Yeah he's constantly urging everyone to blame him for the problems the Lakers are having and not the teammates. Idk, the team was starting to pick up again a bit, but they've had the shittiest luck this season.
anyone else see that 5th OT UL vs ND game? Shit was intense. Was rooting for ND to pull it off. Glad they did.

The fact that they were intending Kobe just to take the shots was an even better reason to try to make assists. Even if they are not in a good day, he still needs to try to pass the ball or go to the hoop and make assist. Its really important to try to pass in every direction to break the defense and I think Kobe has proven that he do that. However, if his teammates were not motivated for whatever reasons, they are party blame and if they are not having a good day from behind the line, they should go to the hoop and draw fouls.
His ego is necessary to be so good (the guy sure has ambitions and wants to be like Jordan and that's good) but it can be a downfall if he lets it dominate the way he plays with other.
Speaking of ego, Iverson is pretty much letting his destroy his life. I mean he was one of the best players I have ever seen but his ego and lack of discipline on and off the court caused his downfall in everyway (divorce, foreclosure, no Nba teams want him, drinking issues etc…).
I admit that I did not really follow the season so I don't know how the chemistry is working or all the Gossips.
-
Chemistry was good for a while but it seems it went back to being shitty last 2 games against Boston and Charlotte. They won in Charlotte because of the much better energy and effort in the second half by all of them, though, so Idk… They're playing Heat this Sunday to end their Grammy's road trip, but they'll probably be annihilated just like the Clips were yesterday, lol.
And Dwight's being a crybaby again and his daddy is literally telling D'Antoni to check on Kobe's mouth as if Dwight was 6 years old and D'Antoni was a school principle. It's embarrassing. I can't get over how shitty Dwight's attitude and personality is. He doesn't care about winning. Says he does all the time but doesn't show any professionalism. He's also an awful offensive player when he tries to post. Always turns it over in the post. Really, he has no offensive skills save for the basic PnR and lobs. Idk why D'Antoni insists on letting him post up when he sucks complete ass at it. All the great centers had some sort of post game, and even Bynum's is great. Shit is embarrassing.
disgusting. This is why you aren't an All Star, Jennings. He was 8 for 27, too. Lmfao. Before you say anything about how that shot wasn't that bad, check the clock.
-
Maybe he thought he was fouled? lol
-
Holy fuck. Triple overtime win. Crazy doesn't begin to describe it.
Bos 118-114 over Denver after 63 minutes of shitshow action
-
Denver wins that game if Karl isn't such an Andre Miller lover and switches him out for Corey Brewer. Miller was literally trying to throw the game by the end.
-
Yikes, ANOTHER season-ending injury for the Celtics. The third in 18 days. I'm scared that someone else will be next.
-
Worst uniform ever?
I say yessir!
-
Chuck is gonna brag for a long, looong time
-
If i support anyone that my vote was also in favor of Lakers.
-
Most entertaining prop dunk:
-
It's a shame that prelims were so terrible in the Dunk Contest, since the final round seemed to be four very good dunks done on the first attempt.
-
Lol
-
RIP Dr. Buss. Worst Lakers season ever officially confirmed :(
-
Lol
Well, there's one highlight to this season for the lakers.

Anyone else watching the BOS-DEN game? I've learned not to count out the Celtics out until the final buzzer, but the turnovers make me want to cry.

Of course I did :P Well a positive for that game was Jeff Green owning Denver's bench.
Anyways, here are my predictions for what the playoffs will look like:
! East
1. Miami
2. New York
3. Indiana
4. Chicago
5. Brooklyn
6. Boston
7. Milwaukee
8. Atlanta
! West
1. San Antonio
2. Oklahoma City
3. L.A. Clippers
4. Denver
5. Golden State
6. Memphis
7. Houston
8. Utah
! I would have the West 7-8 switched but I think itd be awesome to have a Thunder-Rockets matchup in the first round. Other than that, I see Memphis and Altanta plummeting in the standing :) -
Great win for a great tribute to the late and great Dr. Buss.
Best owner in sports ever indeed

Agree. I was at the game last night (thank god I got my college money a couple of weeks back so I could get tickets) and that tribute was amazing. If I didn't have to work today I would go down to the Nokia Center for the public memorial.

Speaking of Jeff Green, he's been VERY impressive lately. Especially against the Suns last night (in my country anyway). He really stepped it up w/ KG not around.
And I'm happy with the Celtics' new additions (esp. J Craw). T Will plays like he's been part of the team all this time.
I can see the Celtics moving up in the standings now (I can see them at #6 too). Playoffs are solid. :)
-
That Bulls-Thunder game last night….... UGH. Just ugh. Well, at least Rose is able to dunk again.
-
This thread is getting dusty.
Insert ~Generic post about wanting the playoffs to start~ here :)
-
Lol @ Hornets letting Lakers beat them when they were up 25. I'm not giving credit to the Lakers, Hornets just tanked that one.
Kove's 42 points and 12 assists was pretty good tho
-
Goddamn, JR Smith is going off tonight! 36 points!
-
so Gueta are you happy again?
