I'd say it's worth playing at least, it certainly has it's moments. It just felt pretty hollow, and Hyrule just wasn't as appealing as I'd hope it would be. Come to think of it, I have yet to complete the cave of Ordeals!
I beat Skyward Sword not too long ago, and overall I thought it was great, but I don't know about it be THE greatest console Zelda. The sky was filled with a bunch of big rocks and hardly any sky-islands, and when there were any (besides Skyloft), they'd have very few people or things to do, whereas Wind Waker had plenty of islands to discover and have an adventure about. But the locations on the surface were good, and the desert area could have been the most boring part of the game, and thankfully the developers were able to make it one of the most interesting.
I liked the last fights near the end. Too bad I didn't figure out you could use a "sort-of Skyward Strike" at the last battle… but it was fun none-the-less. My left arm was tired after shielding so much.
Hero Mode seems pretty unforgiving. No floating hearts to recover health??? I'll try not to throw my Wii remote at the tv whenever I start raging out of frustration.
