I didn't find any threads about the next Superman movie, so I decided to start one.
Bryan Singer directs the film. In it, Superman has been gone for a long time and now has finally returned to Metropolis. Many things have changed since he left. Lois Lane is married and has a baby. She has moved on wit her life without Superman. I don't know any more about the plot than that.
I think the movie could be good. Brandon Routh makes an interesting Superman, and he looks even better as Clark Kent than Reeves ever did. But the new Superman costume is horrible! I hate how they made the S symbol on his chest. That's really my only complaint so far about this film.
And then there's the supporting cast. I think Kevin Spacey would make a good Lex Luthor. I don't know much about Kate Bosworth, the actress playing Lois Lane, but I hope she will pull the role off. There's also Sam Huntington as Jimmy Olsen, Frank Langella as Perry White, Eva Marie Saint as Martha Kent, Stephan Bender as young Clark Kent, Parker Posey as Kitty Koslowski, Kal Penn as Stanford, James Marsden as Richard White, and archive footage of Marlon Brando as Jor-El. The trailer is interesting, too.
