Spandam's voice is awesome. He also does Vash the Stampede and Don Patch.
A pretty awesome episode.. but it was kind of random how they started off with Luffy and Zoro getting knocked out of the Galley-La mansion. Didn't really make any sense. I mean, I can see why they went back to the present with Franky and CP9, but Luffy and Zoro was just like… what?
Like I siad before, Spandam sounds awesome. I can't wait to see when he's all insane and derranged.
I loved how they did the Battle Frankys blwoing up Tom and Iceburg. For some reason, the biref glimpse of Spandam's girnning face made me crack up.
I thought it felt kinda... weird for Iceburg and Franky to have their adult voices. It makes perfect sense, but it felt funny seeing Franky's scrawny body with Yao's boisterous voice. And I thought that when Yao got all choked up (when Iceburg says THIS IS YOUR FAULT! after the Battle Frankys attacked) it sounded too awkward.
The next episodes should be awesome, can't wait.

DON PATCH!? I must see that episode NOW!
When does the episode end? Can we see Franky playing baseball with Spanda´s head? I´d love to see that ^^ -

Spandam Is Masaya Onosaka!!!!!!!! ^_________________^
OMG YES! XD I love him. Great for Spanda.
BTW didn't he also do the voice or Sham or Siam (however you wanna spell it)?
-
Oh wow. Awesomely fantastic episode. I love Spandam's voice to bits. Totally not what I expected, but so fitting it just made him twice as awesome.
The first part with Spandam's antics was absolutely hilarious. I don't know why, but the humour just worked so much better animated. The agents giving a round of applause right after Spandam spectacularly saves himself from slipping had me on the floor.
Even so, the second part was really intense and action packed. Luckily, it doesn't feel unnatural, and the whole thing is handled really well. Like Carter, though, I thought Iceburg and Franky having their adult voices was a bit weird. I mean, I'm fine with Iceburg's voice, but it was just a little bit too low to fit his appearance. The same with Franky.
Other than that minor glitch, I loved the whole thing. Neat animation, too. Here's to hoping next episode will be half as good. Though, more Spandam qualifies as insta-win in my book.

Can do, just did it for ANN and AP a while ago. I hope they're somewhat accurate <_<
#250: The Last Moments of a Legendary Man! The Day the Sea Train Grieves
#251: The Truth Behind the Betrayal! Robin's Sorrowful Decision!Mmm, we're moving along pretty quickly. 249 was a good episode =) It's been a while since I read through these parts in manga form, so it was almost like a surprise to me.
-
The episode ends with Iceburg telling Franky it's his fault that the attack happened, and that the government framed them to get the blueprints. So they haven't gotten to the trial or Tom's asskicking yet.
@CosmicDebris:OMG YES! XD I love him. Great for Spanda.

Yeah, and Chew.
It was also a lot different from what I expected (I forget what I expected, maybe something like sinister/high pitched), and it suits him a lot better. It was bugging me so much because I knew I recognized his voice from somewhere, then I freaked out when I found out he was Don Patch.
And yeah, I loved the scenes of him falling over (made for good filler). The CP5 agents clapping cracked me up because it was so WTF?!ish.
-
Masaya was Chuu? Why didn't I know that? I guess the little "chu's threw me off.

Only up to there?
Aww dammit…I thought the scene where Franky tries to stop the Sea Train would make a great ending for the ep >_<Good VA choice for Spandam though, can't wait to hear it =)

And Pandaman appears again in the middle of the running crowd when the Battle Franky's attack
Next 2 episodes will be very good indeed
I'm waiting to see how they're going to animate SogeKing
-
It's going to be a while before they get to Sogeking. Remember all the stuff they have to go through like….
Sanji sneaking on the train and Nami running around trying to find Luffy when Aqua Laguna is hitting, etc..BTW, is everyone here watching RAWS caught up with the manga?
-
BTW, is everyone here watching RAWS caught up with the manga?
I am.
-
The reason why I'm asking is because I don't want to start talking about stuff that's going to happen in the next few episodes if there are people here who are not reading the manga. Such in the case in a couple of other forums.
-
Someone let me know when they animate Sogeking. It's….. important.... for a project. D=
-
You'll know. Ooh, ooh, what's the project?
I don't think that will happen for another 10 episodes at least. Or more, depending on how much they want to stretch things. -
I just want to get to Jerry…
-
Ok, good. That gives me some time to figure some things out.
Ooh, ooh, what's the project?
Humm… well, it's rather dorky of me, but I want to make an AMV. I've got a perfect song, I just need some Sogeking clips. (and I'm serious this time. xD will stay committed)

"Bud Light Presents: Real Men of Genius. Today we salute YOU, Mr. Paranoid of the Ocean guy…"
-
If we consider that 2 chapters are one episode, then Sokeking should come out in Episode 255. Its in chapter 267
-
But that's not always the case - a lot of times an episode is only one chapter. I think such was the case for 245.
-
But episode 248 has covered nearly 3 chapters.
I think its 2 chapters for one episode average. -
What the fudge…it looks like Tom has Jinbei's "Mermaid Pirate" insignia on his left arm!

He has them on both arms. However it was never said that other tattoo Arlong has anything to do with Jinbei, plus Arlong´s tattoo looks a different from Tom´s.

Someone mentioned that Arlong still bore his tattoo from when he was with the Mermaid Pirates, but as you said, that's unsupported by the Anime or Manga. Regardless, though, the only major difference in the tattoos are the length and shape of the arms, which may/may not be a result of the angles we're seeing them on. Looking through pictures…
-
Today comes a double episode, right? im so happy about that.
And in which timezone One Piece is aired? -
Ha! Just watched it on my hostel's HD tv. oooo, wide-screen . . . .
And I will give major props to Kappei Yamaguchi (Usopp's seiyuu) for one hell of a performance. Mainly his scream of "MERRY!!!!!!!!" I haven't been that moved by a scream since Vivi screamed "KOHZA!!!!!!"
-
Those pictures are badass.
I rarely download raws but I might download today.
Now to wait for Sayiaman or however you spell it to release the double pack.
Also, Spandam's gold face plate = awesome.
-
-
251 is where merry is let loose? nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo =(
-
Both episodes need more seeders (currently 2)
Can't wait to watch them.
-
Looks awesome. But that first picture of Spandam…I dunno why they now feel the need to do wacky camera tricks or crotch shots.
-
Just a week back I started watching RAWs.I am using bitcomet (I am behind a NAT). Normally I download files using bittorrent without trouble.
However, I can't connect to Saiyaman tracker(error 10060). 'DHT Network' tracker connects for episode 250 and I am downloading. But for episode 251, both trackers are not connecting and I am unable to download.
Can anyone advise me on this?
-
Well, 250 was nothing too special… The sumo-scene was handled really well, but that was about it for the end of the flashback.
However, I'll be the first to say it... 251 was probably the best episode I've seen in quite some time. From Merry's scene and Robin's revelation to Sanji's legendary ''Bingo'', the whole thing was handled orgasmically well. Good timing, too... The fact we've just begun getting into Robin's past in the manga really actually helped her scenes in this episode.
Kudos to the animation crew. I'm all tingly with anticipation at seeing the upcoming moments animated, and that's how it should be.
Oh, and Mutty... I'm not sure what your problem could be, as I don't encounter anything of the sort, but try saving the torrent to your computer before opening it. Whenever I have an error, that tends to do the trick for some reason.
-
I haven't been that moved by a scream since Vivi screamed "KOHZA!!!!!!"
Ugh. That scream was downright glass-shattering to me.
I'll download it in a few. I'm glad we're close to the train, I just hope that Nami's wacky Strawhat finding adventure only takes 1 or 2 eps… I really wanna see Jerry.
-
Downloading both~ but 251 is going to be done long before 250! D:
Took a look at Fuji's site. Next week..
252. The Steam Whistle Separates the Group! The Sea Train Begins to Run(or if you prefer, "The Steam Whistle Separates the Nakama! The Sea Train Begins to Run")
I can't wait to watch ^_^
-
Yeah, and I can´t wait for eps 250 and 251 to be put up at saiyman´s IRC channel.
-
Can someone put ep 250 on yousendit.com and pm me with a link?
Thanks -
Downloading right now, can't wait ^_^
I assume we see "Bingo.." in 251?
-
Can someone take a screen shot of the going merry when its let go in 251
-
@Mog:

Thanks for the reply. Presently I am uploading both. I am wondering whether anyone is using any kind of backup trackers for the above mentioned trouble. I found that the error is due to the overload in the tracker (error 10060 - learned from error FAQs).
Regarding the episodes, they are really good and I can't wait for the next chapter. I was sort of expecting the recovery of Chopper in this episode, but we will only get it in the next. By the way, we are getting closer to manga and anime may get into trouble as the current arc is still continueing.
-
251 had the best ending ever.
Ah, that was great. Mog's 100% right, my hopes are almost too high for the future episodes.
-
I'm more impressed with the ending of 250/beginning of 251. That was awesome.
If my calculations are correct, Jerry in 2 weeks! Maybe one if I'm lucky (which i'm not).
-
I'm more impressed with the ending of 250/beginning of 251. That was awesome.
I loved how the Phone Snail imitated the sound of the cup breaking. Neat little touch.
-
The look on its face was awesome.
I also liked that little filler scene of Spandam accidentally slicing the lamp.
-
I'm soooo In love with Spandams voice…I knew I was completely won over when he went "M! Spanda M!!!!"
Two very good episodes, though I wonder where they'll insert the rest of the flashback? We have yet to see the beginning of chapter 358...Oh, and I loved how they extended the scene where Meyy was let out of the warehouse...
-
Good eps. The Merry situation was handled very well. The train stuff is right around the corner. I really hope to see the return of the situation maps we´ve seen in Alabasta and Skypiea. Though I actually have zero idea how they will handle it with the fact that we get a (too long) last episode summary before the opening.
Well, I guess sitting back and waiting for it is the best I can do.
-
Though I actually have zero idea how they will handle it with the fact that we get a (too long) last episode summary before the opening.
No we don't. Apart from a few exceptions, they're usually just as long as they've ever been. Only difference is the opening now plays later on in the episode instead of in the beginning.
It'd be a bit late to start putting in situation maps right now, but I guess it's still a possibility once the Sea Train chase kicks in.

I don't think it's too late. They haven't moved anywhere yet.
They will probably do it once they get to the Sea Train.
