The game will be out in the US and Europe soon. iOS ver. will be available a few days later.
While I don't know what the game is about exactly, the fact that it's from the guy who gave Phoenix Wright, is reason enough for me to get the game.
EDIT: Oh and or those that got the game, please user spoiler tags!

I'm looking forward to this.
also
-
I am starting to hear better and better things about this
So I'm interested now and wanting to play
-
Its too short for my likings so I will wait for the ios version
-
I'm definitely going to grab this game soon.
-
Loved the demo last year, going to try and get this on friday.
The L&R buttons of neither my lite nor dsi work - don't really want to go back to the fat, so I haven't really played any DS games for months (been holding out to play them on the 3DS), but it doesn't look like this'll need them.
-
just played the game, so far its pretty good. Its text driven with some nice puzzle element twists. The main focus is to posses non-living things to save the lives of people and ultimatly solve why you died and a greater mystery.
People who liked 999 should play this game, especialy people who like ace attorney ( I didnt like that game that much but same creators)
Animations are really nice btw -
I'm playing the game now and it's awesome, the gameplay, how you unfold the story, and the artwork too. The story flows naturally, but when it hits it's climax, your mind blows.
I'll play some more before looking for some fanarts of it.! Anyone else laughed when Cabanela showed up?
! >! I just got to the part where Sissel question himself about himself. The story is mindblowing me right now, it's awesomeFanarts (do not spoil yourself, only see it if you already played the game)

Just finished the game.
This game just gave time travel another meaning. Some parts were sure annoying and hard, others were easy, but when you finally end and the story is revealed, you know you just played an awesome game.
This can be one of the best games of the year, and in my opinion it's better than 999, maybe because it's story is more lighthearted and I like it this way. -
I just finished this game as well, and I must say the game play and story where amazing, easily one of the best ds games of the year (the best I have played in a while besides 999) It seems that a lot of people are confused about this game so ill give a quick review
Review#1 Ghost Trick
IGN-9/10
gamespot-9/10
game informer-6/10As you can see this game was given a high score from IGN and Gamespot but got a medicore review from game informer, I must say that IGN and Gamespot hit the mark very well and that Game Informer didn't even play the whole game (or at all)
Ghost Trick to me was very similar to 999( another fantastic game) heavy on text with a very interesting plot with great unique puzzle solving.
-Gameplay
The game is played out by moving your spirate to posses non-living objects for example the game is played doing two options. when you click "Ghost" time stops and you can move freely to posses objects, then wen you start time again you can minipulate objects to solve the puzzle "trick". The gameplay is very satisfying some of the puzzles are hard and I had to look up a faq for some of them. my only down side is that the gameplay is too simpletic which means that the game play just involves move here and change that object, through most of the game, things rarly change in turms of gameplay.-story
Not since 999 has there been a great story like this game, "do you want to unsolve the mystery of the strange night" this is a deep game but unlike 999 the story is much less tence but in my opinion charactors are given much more charactor development and the protagonist sissel is more likable (in my opinion) than junpai (considering we didnt get to see junpais face a lot and he felt like just another charactor traped) There are many twists and turns some predictable but some you are guaranteed to miss. The story is a driving point for any game and Ghost Trick nails it hard.-replability
none…...once you finish the game (took me about 10-12) hours thats it you have soved the case and there's no more hidden endings to find. the good thing about this is the game ends at the right time, I always say that the best games are once that are a good length and that you want to play more of when you finish it. If your looking for a great game (just as good as if not better than 999) to play for and experiance not replayability then Ghost Trick is the game for you-Overall
Ghost Trick is put simply a fantastic experiance and an excuse to go back to the ds ( Before 999 I had not touched by ds for 1 year it had collected dust and I thourght that the quality games had died. If you are like me and did not like the Ace Attorney game (I just find them frustrating, good storys but just hard to play) then I still recomend trying to play Ghost Trick. If your looking for a game to play on the ds with a great story fantastic charactors and a decent adventure give it a shot9/10 from me

Very very good game. Not quite at the same level as 999 for me (999 had me bawling my eyes out at almost every plot twist), but still a very high caliber game. Easily on par with the Phoenix Wright series. I seriously hope they decide to continue this franchise. The puzzle mechanics are amazing.
! At first only having one spirit was kind of slow, although still fun. Additionally, the story was a bit slow for the first half. Chapter 9 really ramped it up, and then the teens accelerated it into awesome-ness. With the addition of Missle, it was really good. If only there were puzzles with three spirits (Sissel, Yomiel, and Missle), then it would have been really amazing. Still, it was very good).
My only complaint is that the game was too short. Double the length would have been perfect. Still, this is pretty much a flawless game. I'm praying for a sequel. -
The game should've had an extra puzzle with
! Sissel, Yomiel and Missile
atleast.
And I would love a sequel too. -
Loved it. Too short & too easy, but a really charming, fun game. Loved the pop style rotoscoped characters too.

EDIT: Oh and or those that got the game, please user spoiler tags!I think it's a very exciting game. I need to get it before it will be out in the US.
-
…It's already out in the US.
I was really blown away by the twist at the end. No, not that twist, the other one. No, not THAT other twist, the OTHER other twist. I figured out the first two just before they happened, but that third one? splodes
-
Beat it yesterday, overall a good game.
! Wouldn't mind a sequel starring Yomiel without the Ghost Tricks, if only because his design is pretty cool XD
Anyone know where to get the OST?
Gotta say, the animation for the models is pretty top notch. -
Man… 4 years ago I would have been all over the ROM and R4ing this game asap.
Does it hold up to the PW1-3 games?
I sure hope there's a NA iOS release.
-
? I thought the US was getting an iOS version.
-
Is it worth the £25-£30 I keep seeing it at? How does it compare to the likes of Layton or Phoenix Wright?
All I see is comparisons to 999 which doesn't help since 999 isn't out in the UK (or if it is it must be VERY rare. Most places deny it's existence.)

It's just as fun as PW or Layton, but shorter, with no reason to replay. The scenario is written by the same guy who made the Phoenix Wright games.
999 is an excellent visual novel with multiple endings(like a video game version of something like "choose your own adventure" or "Lone wolf", with choices to make and puzzles to solve) - I bought the American version a while back and couldn't put it down until I got the proper ending - fantastic game and very gripping.
Personally, I loved Ghost Trick - very fun puzzle based game with a good story. You might want to give the demo a try first though:
-
^No reason to replay? The story, humor and characters are among the reasons one WOULD replay the game.
Jeebus I've replayed the PW games at least 3 times each (except for maybe Saiban 4, and I plan to replay Kenji the 3rd time soon as well), and I'd replay GT again if it weren't for me wanting to play Last Window. -
I quite obviously mean that when you're done you're done. Obviously it's fun to replay a year or two later when you've forgotten the finer details.
I wanted to illustrate the point that it's shorter then any of the PW games, and also doesn't have any reason to immediately go back into it, like extra endings, different paths or so forth.
Since he asked about value and all.
-
maybe I should pick it up and put it away for a rainy day. I still have Edgeworth to finish (and Apollo Justice.)
And if it's anything like PW it'll be somewhat hard to get later. I can only find the Edgeworth one in new and pre-owned stores these days.

Someone uploaded the dance-
!
-
Wat. Only a two page topic? That's been inactive for 20 days?!
I am disappoint. I mean, come on! It's loaded with good stuff! Quirky characters, great style, really detailed story, and all wrapped up in a fun puzzle game? Nobody? Why does hardly anyone know about this game!?
I mean, look at that gif of Bailey dancing in Tizocs post. How can you not be won over by him?
…I feel as if my efforts are wasted somewhat.

…I feel as if my efforts are wasted somewhat.
Well, it reminded me of the existence of this game and got me to buy it, if that cheers you up a bit.
Finished it last night and I have to say, I absolutely loved it even though it was a little bit on the short side. It's sad this game doesn't get more attention than this because it was one of the best games I played on the DS and really deserves more than it gets at the moment.
That Bailey gif really cracked me up the first time I saw it. -
Success! Now lets keep this topic alive and bring more people into the Ghost Trick fold >:)
It was too short, wasn't it? One of my only complaints, really! That, and the fact that some characters were not given enough attention…
-
It was a bit on the short side, yeah, but the amount of fun I had in playing made up for that in my opinion. I wouldn't have minded more though.
Am I the only one hoping for some kind of sequel? I'd love it if they make one, but it seems to me that I'm in the minority when I look around in other places. -
Longer + branching with alternate solutions to puzzles would be nice.
-
I would ADORE a sequel of any kind. It would be awesome if they made another story, just as detailed, and carried over the gameplay aspects while making them even better. Or even just an upgrade, as Darkstorm said. I have absolute faith in Takumi, whatever he decides to do with Ghost Trick next. All the naysayers aren't thinking straight. Who says the team can't do it again? People seem to think that sequels immediately = bad, but it's obviously not true with competent teams who can AND HAVE pulled off success after success. Fandumb seems rampant with original games like this…
-
I'd love to see what Takumi has in mind for the future, whether it's Ghost Trick or something else. I really love the way he tells stories and manages to come up with weird characters and gameplay gimmicks.
Some people really complain and nitpick way too much though.I feel kind of sad when I see all the fandumb going around with games like this one, especially since I was taught to savor the things I got instead of moaning about the things I didn't get…
