Someone set an OP AMV to Monkey Majik, goddammit.
I don't care if it doesn't fit. Just do it.

Those 3 sound like they could fit in One Piece.
The second and third ones are for more actiony vids, I suppose. The first one's for a fun one.
No .
No what, smartass .
Those are good and all, but I definitely don't see them working in a One Piece AMV.

Well then can you pick an actiony song that would work for marineford?
EDIT: think i might just use this.

Hi guys i want to make an fighting type AMV that goes with the Marineford arc any song suggestions so i don't have to use buttrock?
How about a good song?
You asked. Don't give sass.
And since no one will actually be nice and give an actual detail as to why certain songs won't work.

I love this song.
That point aside, this song COULD work. However, usage of it during the Marineford war (a rather serious and epic arc of the series) wouldn't work so well. Marineford requires something far more series, but loud. Proud and triumphant, even if it means defeat.
This isn't buttrock. This would work for battles of far more intensity and insanity. Something not too serious, but at the same time awesome.
I love this song, but it doesn't entirely make much sense and is pretty much an anthem of 'shit be happening'. There's nothing wrong with that, but this sort of song would much more suit battles of unusual circumstances, like Ussop fights, or maybe the Zoro vs Kaku fight, as long as you emphasize more on the bizarreness of the battle with a freaking rapid giraffe, and not the fact that Robin needs to be saved.
At the same time, it could be better used as a song of the crew's antics and stupidity. However, that factor would better suit for more 'insane' series like Excel Saga or Soul Eater.
Someone really good at AMVs could pull it off though.

! Love ya, Gueta, but try to post the official song and not the concerts. Most wouldn't use the audio from concerts, since the audio of the song wouldn't come with screaming crowds or other static. Unless we're dealing with 311, then we're just fucked. I hate 311 anyway.
! Either way, I found the original forms of each song and listened to them all.
! Kanpai - Not bad. Certainly a song that could fit with the happy moments of One Piece. The song is pretty good. Definately has good vibe to it. It does have a bit of modern taste to it, but nothing One Piece can't fit into. I think I'd enjoy a good AMV with this song. As long as the AMV focuses on the happy moments of the crew, it can work.
! Bicycle - Good song, I kind of like it. However, I don't think it suits One Piece so well. Even the fights. For a fight song, it's a tad bit slow, even at the chorus. The tone of the song doesn't scream One Piece song either. It's far too smooth and sly. Almost sounds like a song I'd hear between two lovers, focusing on their conflicting egos but their intense lust for each other. Forgive me if this sounds awkward, but it's a bit of a sexy song. And if it suited any fight, maybe a gun fight of sorts, not one that's crazy like Grenadier though.
! Goin' Places - I….really don't like the chorus. "Ah-oh-ah-oh, things are going down". It's a bit annoying. The music outside the lyrics are pretty good. But even that wouldn't work to well with One Piece. Again, it's a bit sly. Not as sly as bicycle, but sounds much more of something Bleach would be mixed with. And I don't mean that in a crude way. Again, a bit to slow for a fight song.
! None of the songs are buttrock, but only Kanpai really fits. Bicycle is a good song (I like it more than Kanpai even), but it wouldn't work. I might be distracted with the lyrics of Goin' Places, but I don't see it mixing with One Piece.
! Not bad, Gueta.
I just used them to show the songs themselves, wouldn't want someone to use the concert ones in an amv, trust me.
Yeah I know most of Monkey Majik wouldn't fit OP but it's still some great music. And Kanpai was the one I thought fit OP the most in a fun AMV, to be honest I just posted the other 2 for no apparent reason other than letting people know of the band.
Alright. This is the best OP AMV I've seen.

I shouldn't be reviving this, probably. But this AMV was funny indeed. I liked it a lot.
And then, there's THIS.
It probably needs some editing tweeks, but other than that, it's funny as hell. I know it's very very very specific and only works with Usopp and it's not representative of what One Piece as a whole really means, but it fits so well with him. . .
@ Guetaminute; I don't think those songs fit that much with One Piece. . .
. . . But that Kanpai song is stuck in my head right now. Dammit.

Gonna listen to it again!

using this song, what would fit it?
A really awesome AMV I found.

Am no amv expert so it was nice reading all the points.Fully support this thread’s message Buttrock is why I have never bothered with AMVs. Though I must say I have a soft spot for the ‘brave new world’ (this is war) amv because unlike how I felt watching ‘This is one piece’, I didn’t find it stupidly action orientated only, could still feel the friendship spirit of the series watching it particularly the bye Vivi part.
Amv's like this scare me the most. not that it was made. but the sheer popularity of it in a positive note.

The Song has NOTHING to do with the clips. it's literally kenpachi fighting against an espada with some random music and editing.
it has 1057192 vieuws
3109 likes and 279 dislikes.
then there are comments like this
"lol… surprisingly good combo"
while there are comments like this
"This song does not work with this fight >.>""
they are far and inbetween
they guy just edited the fight and put a song he likes to it and made an amv
there is no emotion.
You can find this amv by just posting bleach on youtube, and scroll down a bit. and when i look at the comments, people just watch this to see the fight. which makes me wonder why people dont just watch the whole fight edited but with the normal audio. It is there.
I dunno i just find things like that really scary. i don't really care that crap gets made. but when alot of people really like it. that's where i weep.
1 million views and only 3000 who like it. That makes a grey zone of 997 000 people where you can't tell if they only watched it said "meh" and left, if they totally liked it or whatever…
The danger is high on youtube to confuse the number of views with the quality of the video. Or to cite it while commenting on the quality...
You can find this amv by just posting bleach on youtube, and scroll down a bit.
This is the reason why it has a million views. It won the search engine game. It has absolutely nothing to do with quality.
I just want to point out that I love that song. Not my favorite song of all time by no means, but I always liked it.
That fact aside, this AMV isn't PURE torment. It's not awful. It's just not good.
As Urouge said, the video won the search engine game. Plus, a lot of people watch AMVs to listen to songs in whole. Not a good reason to watch an AMV (namely considering that "Let It Rock" was on the radio in 2009 more times than any Lady Gaga song).
"Let It Rock" is a song of, "I'm able to bring the house down with how fucking awesome I am…so how can you even compare?" It's a song of someone being badass while the other person is pathetic in comparison (or a poser, as the song tries to throw). I can work in any real fight, but it's stupid.
The timing is crap. The song style does somewhat mix with Bleach (it's not buttrock, so that helps).
Really, people will praise a pile of shit if it has two things people like: a lot of people like Bleach, and a lot of people like that song.
Oh god, this thread is GOLDEN.
You can't take one step in the realm of AMV's without everyone putting their awful, awful buttrock to their "great" amv clipshow.
Just makes me want to rip their hearts out and watch how it slowly stops beating…
Damn it, there's a shitload of good country they could be setting One Piece to.
Grow some taste, AMV makers.
Country isn't my favorite genre but there are some really amazing songs like the one you posted dirt monkey AL
Most of the country that comes to mind for me would probably make for pretty funny amvs.
I've also always wanted to see an amv for Brook to this song.
The music and lyrics would fit perfectly imo, especially 5:40+
