You're my SF boy and all Cap'n… but no it doesnt.
Yeah, I didn't think it did.
I'm like 3 clicks away from asking that in the Capcom-Unity blogs…
DO IT.

! > Take with a big grain of salt. But someone posted this on iPlaywinner and got ban-hammered very quick but other "leak lists" survived. Would still take with a grain of salt but this is the first one with 42 characters and some explanations

]
Also, the poster put these in the thread before they were deletedOnimusha and Basara fans – direct your frustrations towards Keiji Inafune.
Thank TQ Jefferson from Marvel for Howard The Duck. The design team at Capcom felt the Marvel side was really dark and powerful compared to the Capcom side, so they wanted to balance it out a bit with a smaller, whimsical character. TQ said Howard as a joke, but Capcom liked the idea, so he stuck.
Marvel didn't want Shuma Gorath in, but Capcom really pushed for him and ultimately Marvel gave in.
Venom is the Eddie Brock version. This also led to some resistance by Marvel.
The only characters that Marvel really 'forced' Capcom into using are X-23 and Spider-Woman
This list might be fake but we need to something tide us over.
I'm definately going to take it with a grain of salt. But I've got to say…
! I understand that Marvel villains are needed, but Shuma Gorath and Thanos? Both were always pretty sucky fighters. And WHY would Capcom vouch for Shuma?
! And I don't know how Howard the Duck would be 'broken'. Granted, that's awesome, but that just sounds weird.
! I do like Spider Woman, but I'd be shocked if she did make it. She's always been pretty neglected.
! Nice seeing Storm, Venom, and Ms. Marvel though.
! And then Capcom, I definately find C. Viper to be a strange choice. I don't know…
! Strider Hiryu being on this list makes me upset, because I WANT HIM to be in this game and all this does is taunt me.
! Also....Red Arremer?....Why?
! And Roll....poor, poor Roll....
I hope this isn't the list, but it wouldn't be that bad.
I do like the "idea" of Howard the Duck getting in.
! I prefer Squirrel Girl, but meh. Not a bad option.
Mike Haggar <3
And lol @ Howard the Duck XV
Also… why are people surprised that a Japanese game company wants a tentacle themed monster in their fighting game that just happens to have female combatants.
Srsly guys... you underestimate the power of tentacle pr0n.
! That list sucks.
! No Ms. Valentine?! Fuck that shit.
! Tentafag and Thanos?! :|
! Red nigga from GnG?
! C. Viper AND Vega?!? ?:/
! This list sucks and I'm taking it with a grain of shit.
! I am (and I AM) digging the Marvel ladies though.
Yay! For no Roll and I saw Howard as "uber character" from miles away.
if that list is true, I'm way glad for Zero, Mega Man, Haggar, Strider, Ms. Marvel, and Bison. Not liking Shuma or Thanos.
Shuma-Gorath is popular in Japan because of his tentacles. <3
I like Vega and I know he'll be a lot better than Nash, but I would love Nash in Marvel vs Capcom 3.
He was sooo fucking cool in Marvel vs Capcom 2!
…and Street Fighter Zero 2
"Too easy…" kicks defeated opponent "Too easy..."
:D
Venom is the Eddie Brock version. This also led to some resistance by Marvel.
Couldn't get Capcom to take Anti-Venom seriously either, eh Marvel?
Remember folks, that "broken" character was said to be broken if not for clever programming. Meaning this mystery character (or Howard the Duck, if that list is accurate) would have been broken. They're not actually broken.
If M. Bison really is in it, I wonder how they'll handle his charge motions… Less charge time, perhaps?
I think it would be funny if Howard was intentionally broken personally.
I mean, obviously not for competitive matches but just for stupid-fun fights like the Unlimited characters in BlazBlue.
It's going to happen…
It's actually suprising how huge Shuma Gorath is in Japan.
(I know people already made the tentacle rape jokes already).
Still in the very slight chance that list is true, I would be sufficiently pleased.
And really, what's so bad about Red Arremer? He had his own game remember?
Also, I'm a little pissed no Monster Hunter representation is in the game, but it's understandable and I can deal with it.
i HATE him (red arremer)
(SvsC chaos made him soooo ass-holish)
and thanos ? Yes
but please,Marvel team..made him more fluent than MvsC2
i HATE him (red arremer)
(SvsC chaos made him soooo ass-holish)
Just because he was represented too cheap in one game?
Do you remember the red arremer from Ghosts N Goblins? THAT was cheap.
Do you remember the red arremer from Ghosts N Goblins? THAT was cheap.
(red arramer was not cheap..THE WHOLE GAME is cheap)
but serious,,if that list is true,i hope Marvel makes Thanos with more combos
because in MVC2 he haves only Supers to make combos
True true, they could do so much more with Thanos.
Of course, this is assuming the list is true.
I've got nothing against Haggar, but if we must have Final Fight characters, why not Poison? Especially since he was highly requested for MvC3.
Just my two cents.
Some thoughts on this alledged list, if true
Spider-Man
Wolverine
Hulkvs.
Spider Woman
X-23
She-Hulk
I see wat they did thar.
And I'm laughing lolheartedly at the inclusion of C. Viper, simply because this presents the opportunity, when executing an Ultra, to shout
VIPER HYPER
VIPER HYPER
VIPER HYPER
VIPER HYPER
Eh, now I'm REALLY hoping for DLC, not only because I didn't get some of the characters I wanted in coughdon'tactlikeyoudontlikemyBALLBUSTAHcough, but because we didn't get very good villain balance in the roster with only Bison and Wesker on the Capcom side (Tron if you REALLY want to strech it.).
Again, IF the list is legit.
Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…
43RaVCP3RL4
I'm happy about the "no Phoenix Wright" thing though…
If that list is true. I like it. Espically for She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, and of course Howard the Duck.
@Ghetto:

I'm happy about the "no Phoenix Wright" thing though…
Oh well, at least future Vs. series could have Phoenix.
Personally I'm suprised that it was the Devil May Cry team that so strongly suggested Trish. I just assumed Capcom was trying to reach some sort of female quota or something.
I know, right? I was shocked too a bit.
I mean, no disrespect towards the woman I might main, but they could had picked another "sexy" female. (I'm still towards the "Dante should had been solo as a DMC rep" thing)
However, after hearing that, I'm like…. "Mehhhh... I guess..."
If Phoenix Wright never showed up in any kind of Capcom fighting game, I'd be pretty pleased.
Ehhhhh…
I just don't understand the "Phoenix Wright for MvC3" fans.
TBH, I thought Phoenix Wright would be a cool addition to the VS games.
But its not like I'm gonna cut my wrists or anything if he doesn't get in.
I would have had issues with Trish as well, but the way they've thrown her into this game is just…..awesome. Seriously, her appearance in the last trailer amazed me almost as much as Tron, and she was a surprise character.
Really, I'm not upset about the roster so far. Yeah, I had issues with X-23, but that was just me being shallow. I adore her now, mostly because she's badass. MODOK and Spencer are a bit boring, but if there were to be any characters I wouldn't give a shit about, I'm glad it's someone as weird as MODOK and someone as interesting in terms of combat as Spencer.
@Ghetto:
Ehhhhh…
I just don't understand the "Phoenix Wright for MvC3" fans.
We just want to hear him say "Objection!" against someone from Capcom/Marvel.

It was more like "I'd like to see him in, but am not getting my hopes up".
What I don't get is the argument saying a lawyer would be too implausible in a fighting game…in the same series where Roll can beat up Doctor Doom.
But Roll is a fighting robot….maid thing.
We just want to hear him say "Objection!" against someone from Capcom/Marvel.
Play Story Mode.
Awwwwwyeah.
What I don't get is the argument saying a lawyer would be too implausible in a fighting game…in the same series where Roll can beat up Doctor Doom.
But Roll is a fighting robot….maid thing.
:\
Don't make me start bolding shit again brah…
But she is a robot. That can shoot nipple rockets.
If Dan Hibiki can win a fight, anyone can win a fight.
Sorry, Dan. Still love you and am a member of your fan club. I'll download the next podcast, I swear.
Roll is a fighting robot? Isn't she just the maid? I mean, when has Roll done anything within the actual Megaman series?
In any case, my point still stands that few things are too implausible in this series. I mean, even assuming Roll can fight at all, can you seriously tell me it would be possible for her to win against Doctor Doom?
Just saying.
The "it's not a fighter" comes back from the days of brawl when people were dissing at pkmn trainer, rob, olimar, captn falcon and the animal crossing guy.
He could have worked, he didn't make the cut, end of story.
Roll is a fighting robot? Isn't she just the maid? I mean, when has Roll done anything within the actual Megaman series?
Roll was turned into a "fighting robot" as well. (to defend herself or some shit)
She was playable in the Megaman Powered Up game.
In any case, my point still stands that few things are too implausible in this series. I mean, even assuming Roll can fight at all, can you seriously tell me it would be possible for her to win against Doctor Doom?
Just saying.
Who could survive longer against Doctor Doom?
Roll? or Phoenix Wright?
If a teenager who has the ability to communicate with squirrels defeated Dr. Doom, and a little girl with robotic enhancements can defeat Dr. Doom.
The fact that he's consistently defeated by four three of the most boring superheros in Marvel (Sue is pretty cool), he's pretty low in my book.
Did you know Doctor Doom made Juggernaut's helmet?!
Don't disrespect the Doom!
@Ghetto:
Did you know Doctor Doom made Juggernaut's helmet?!
Don't disrespect the Doom!
For an 'unstopable force', Jugs sure has been stopped many times.
He haven't been "stopped".
He's been "slowed down".
Duh!
@Ghetto:
He haven't been "stopped".
He's been "slowed down".
Duh!
That metaphor is about as helpful to Juggernaut's case as the phrase "real men wear pink" is helpful toward a closet homosexual.
Real men DO wear pink.
Although, I personally don't have pink clothing.
However…
Slowed down > Stopped
Just so you know...
@Ghetto:
Real men DO wear pink.
You kind of missed the point.
Whether that is true or not (Dan Hibiki IS a real man, after all), the point is that for a closet homosexual to say the phrase, "Real men wear pink" (a phrase noted to state the fact that wearing the color pink does not by any chance make a man feminine or homosexual) is pointless considering the fact that the speaker is already a homosexual.
If Juggernaut can be slowed down and prevent from (for example) killing Professor Xavier, than he has been stopped from killing Prof. X. Granted, he hasn't been really stopped, but he's been hindered in the action he was going to perform and failed to do the action, and thus, STOPPED.
Let's take this into further logic:
! Given:
Juggernaut is unstoppable.
Juggernaut is going to kill Prof X.
The X-Men is capapble of preventing Juggernaut from killing Prof X.
! Prove:
Juggernaut is NOT unstoppable.
! So, if Juggernaut is unstoppable, he cannot be stopped from killing Prof X. Thus, the person who is unstopple can kill Prof X. However, if the X-Men can prevent/stop Juggernaut from killing Prof X, then Juggernaut can be stopped. Thus, Juggernaut =/= unstopple.
! Thus, Juggernaut is NOT unstoppable.
…....I hope I made everyone angry.
Also, I don't wear pink. I hate wearing pink, regardless of my sexuality.
Insider… we're talking about the Juggernaut, the color pink, Dan Hibiki and homosexuality.
Please cease this madness.
@Ghetto:

It's 50% on topic. 75% if X-Men member North Star is confirmed.
Northstar's Level 3 Super:
Gay Pride
If used on males, he kisses them, thus making them vomit, cry, run away and/or beating their own faces in. (aiming towards the lips)
If used on females, he breaks their hearts by saying, "I'm sorry ladies… but I don't want your bacon. I prefer sausage!"
Massive damage on Morrigan. (and She-Hulk, if confirmed)
If a teenager who has the ability to communicate with squirrels defeated Dr. Doom, and a little girl with robotic enhancements can defeat Dr. Doom.
The fact that he's consistently defeated by

Squirrel Girl defeated Deadpool and Thanos, your point is moot.
Pff. Morrigan would get over it quick with Chris Redfield, Spiderman, and Ryu present. And not to mention the possibility of Strider Hiryu.
God….this game is sex.....in every way...
Squirrel Girl defeated Deadpool and Thanos, your point is moot.
But Squirrel Girl defeated Dr. Doom BEFORE she became a running gag of 'defeating every impossible enemy'.
Morrigan and Spider-Man? I like where this is going…
