Could Olvia Robin be someone who was part of Gol D Roger's crew? It was never really brought up in the series or the One Piece wiki. It seems to make sense, since according to the wiki, Robin is 28 during the series. Her Mother left her when she was 2, which would mean the story takes place 26 years ago, Gol. D Roger's crew decided to set out on their adventure 26 years ago. Is this not a coincidence? It would also explain the reason why Gol D Roger was able to give a message in the poneyglyphs.
Nico Olvia(Nico Robin's mother)

By george i think youve got it

Nah she just hates Robin that much.

Who's this george person?
-
Didn't Rayleigh say their information on the ponglyphs could be incorrect because they did not have a archeologist from Ohara?
-
I thought they said the goal the poneyglyphs were trying to achieve have been fulfilled, the only other person who can read the poneyglyphs appears to be her mother. She might have tried to pass off as a non-Oharan at some time for whatever reason. The timing just seems so fitting though.

Roger was also able to "hear the voice" of all things or some sort. It wouldn't be surprising to me if she was on Roger's crew but it also wouldn't surprise me if Roger was able to "hear" what was written on the poneglyphs.

That was probably his terminal illness talking. Perhaps Gol D Roger went around twice, Olvia went out to search out the truth about the poneyglyphs and their paths crossed somewhere in Skypeia. Gol D Roger had some kind of hallucination induced by his terminal illness and started hearing things, which leads to the incorrect translations. Maybe

I wouldn't be surprised, considering Oda has the annoying habit of tying everything together in his world instead of leaving some ties untied to give a sense of a big world

I thought she was a Revoluntionary…

Sorry but I have NO idea what you're talking about with this illness thing. I doubt his illness would be talking to him. If it did it wouldn't explain why he could write in the Poneglyph writing when he knew absolutely nothing about it. It could be possible that Roger met her on his journey since there would be no reason for him to go around twice because
! he settled somewhere in South Blue with Rouge after he reached Raftel Other than that I don't really see why or how Olvia got to Skypeia. There doesn't seem to be a way for her to know that there was a Poneglyph in the sky unless her log pose coincidentally pointed that way. We don't even know where Ohara was (correct me if I'm wrong) so we can't tell if she was even able to lock on to the other part of Jaya.

I'm kind of messed up on the whole story really. Just stating Oda's possible creative liberties and tie-together kind of plots. Someday, we'll find out Name and Sanji are cousins, rofl.
-
Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised
Laboon, the two giants, etc etc.
Its just too many things to be tied up, and I can guarantee you that the son of the box will somehow be important to the whole plot -
If Olvia was on Roger crew Rayleigh would have mentioned that to Robin, an Oharan.
Plus he said he doesn't know what his crewmates were doing since the disband. An accident like Ohara and he doesn't know abut her fate? Seem unlikely. Not to mention Robin was known as the only one who could decipher the poneglyph, by that logic Rayleigh of course knows Olvia is dead. -
No she was part of a completely different crew seen in the following pages
