Hm…would anyone happen to know a good site for computer coloring tips? I seem to have a difficult time breaking out of the "it looks like animation cell coloring" problem, since I can't mix paints in the traditional way. I used to have more success with that when I used an old program called Fractal Painter. But I see people do these really nice Photoshop etc. coloring jobs and I don't know how they do it.

Thanks! I've just been on a fanart rampage for quite some time! XD I've been making almost 5 fanarts per week! I actually have a "Back To School" fanart for the OnePieceUnlimited contest already, in manga-style though! I might submit it next week! Hopefully it'll be ok! Especially since i'm going against your work and a former nicorobinfanclub contest winner from zoro4me! =(

I wish I knew what kinda pens and stuff and other supplies you use.
Nothing you can't find at Walmart. :3 Just a sheet of computer paper and a G2 Pilot ballpoint gel pen with a fine/extra fine tip~ You can get the refills there too. It's a fairly common pen.
Here's what to look for:
The paper: any printer/computer paper will do
The pen
Refills
…and of course a No. 2 pencil. Go to Wally World and it shouldn't cost you more than $10. :3 -
taboo, does that pen actually run over pencil? the reason i don't buy gel pens anymore is because when i use that to ink my pencil sketch they die. and that's why i use microns.

Yeah, but it is scratchy. I usually go over it once with the pen, erase, then go back over it again adding in line weight and what not. Althought I do have a .05 micron I use for details (like the lines of Luffy's shirt). I try not to use it too much. Them things is 'spensive. ^^;

Do you use a different pen for thicker lines? Like in Merry's figurehead.
