Despite what you said earlier, you're sounding a lot like a fanboy. Especially when you used a liscensed third party game screenshot as your point, and not a game that actually takes advantage of the system in either graphical power (Mario Galaxy, The Conduit) or stylistic sense (NMH, MadWorld).
Also it's winning the console war, so there's that.
It may not get all the fighters (as Syan said, it's just not as suited for the genre), but calling it a relic is just out there.

But in this day and age it's ridiculous to have to plug in a DVD player SEPARATE of a current gen gaming system.
I had a dvd player for years before my Wii. I didn't know or care that there was a dvd attachment for Wii.
8-10 is the number we're after.
I'll be honest, simpler is just peachy with me. My dad will play Wii, my cousin will play Wii. It's just kinda nice like that. They're totally weirded by the PS3 remote (no idea why).
Plus, with nunchuck, Wiimote has 8 buttons, along with joystick, D-pad, motion control, and pointer. Pretty good if you ask me.
The fact that we're using numbers like if we were in the goddamn Matrix means someone at Nintendo hates us.
Again, it's annoying, but I'm not heartbroken over it. Sure, I'd LOVE to have a list of contacts like my PSN (and I assume Live), but since I only play 4-5 people in the online games anyway, and all of them are just a text message away, it's not a huge bother. …now if you and I get Tatsunoko v Capcom like I keep wanting to, then it may get a bit sketchier since I'd have to hit you up on here or FB first, instead of just seeing that your PSN is logged in and sending a quick message.
I'll be nice and ignore the garbage that comes out of Wiiware in comparison to PSN and Xbox Live.
That's WiiWare, though. Wii doesn't have the monstrous hard drive space of the other systems. And a lot are very nice looking for what they are. As with anything, graphics are a mixed bag by developer.
As far as disc based games, the games that interest me look great for what I need. No More Heroes had slick cel shading, Twilight Princess was quite sexy, Super Mario Galaxy had bright colorful worlds, Metroid was stunning at some scenes, and Boy and his Blob had some of the most gorgeous 2D work I have ever seen.
And Iron Man doesn't look all that great on PS3…
I'm not console warring, just defending the fact that the Wii is an excellent system where I can stack a list of unique games I really enjoyed as high as with PS3 or 360.
As for the third party issue, they have third party games that come out really well, it's more when it's a multiplatform game where Wii looks worse by comparison, because they spend more time tacking on motion control (which are an even more mixed bag than the graphics) instead of actually using the systems full potential.

For the record I don't own a PS3 but I can see the value in it.
It might be harsh but I stand by my statement that the Wii (again I own the fucker and LOVE the Mario games) is indeed a technological relic UNDER the hood).
And I honestly dunno who I could fanboy over… the Xbox fails with it's hardware issues and buggy games (patches ftw thou) whereas the PS3 doesn't have the online capabilities that I want (keyword WANT as in personally want, not what's best) and I would ALMOST say PC... but I only own like 3 games in there and shooters are REALLY the only good thing besides say MMOs.
And winning a console war =/= being better.
If we go by that logic Halo and FFXIII are amazing... and they are not (to me at least)

Which I love.

Thing that make the system WHAT it is.
Attacking games for having lulz low polys/textures is just part of the overall package.
I mean I've seen some shitty looking games on Xbox too… the percentage is just smaller (personal experience not ACTUAL numbers).
But then again HD can fool you even if the game is inherently shitty.
And out of the ones you mentioned I count... three third party?

So that's six. Dragon Quest Swords and Tales of Symphonia 2 looked really good to me. There's eight. Several nice additions from Capcom (graphics wise) in the RE shooters. Can't remember who made Trauma Center, but those look nice enough.
I could go on, but I'm honestly easy to please on graphics. If I'm able to clearly make out what I'm doing, that is all I need. Anything more is just gravy.

I'm not sayin graphics triumph all.
Megaman 9 is proof of this.
But would it HURT to have both within context?
I can understand sacrificing poly counts for the sake of smoothness (WoW).
But when a game like Mario Galaxy 2 EXISTS on the Wii... and everyone else looks medriocre by comparison, I feel the need to call them out.
Monster Hunter is a game I would LOVE to get into (looks great, Capcom and awesome idea and execution) but I have PLENTY of other things that are time consuming and I cannot for the life of me find time for something like Monster Hunter.

lol oops didn't even pay attention, just saw the way Toshiya wrote it and ran with it. But you are right, it is Rogue. Either way, Carol Danvers is way cooler.
I'd rather have a Rogue that has some sort of grab move where if it lands, she takes the moveset of her opponent and restores a small amount of life than the super-strength Rogue.

Here's the thing about Rogue. If Rogue is placed in, I want her to be able to REALLY steal powers (ala, perform Hadokens, Unibeams, or Gamma Crushes). It'd also be cool if she could have a reserved finisher to perform a stolen finisher.
But if neither can be done, I want Ms. Marvel instead.

I really hope they Add Ms Marvel if they arent bringing back Rouge. Also hoping characters will have an up-to-date outfits.
I feel like some characters just won't be coming back, I hate to say it, like Rogue. I actually hope that Beast is added (Cat Form Please) for the Marvel side.
Also. is Spider-Man confirmed? I know there are some problems with rights and stuff. If he is, I hope he comes with Venom. ( which I also feel like, is unlikely.)

Unless I'm missing a bigger piece of the puzzle here…
I doubt Marvel would be like "Oh no... you can have Wolverine, Iron Man, Captain America, The Hulk... HELL have DEADPOOL too... but leave SPIDERMAN THE FUCK ALONE! (cuz we don't want Activision, or whoever is currently using his license; to get pee pee hurt)".
Something about that scenario just doesn't seem plausible to me.

I don't know, what if the Spiderman and Viewtiful Joe balloons are just teasers? That's half of what I feel, and the other half is what you said. Capcom's no stranger to stupid "character's you want are in the back, or in an ending" teasers.

While I SHARE that concern, I read not too long ago a statement where Capcom claimed anyone who wasn't in TvC WILL be in MvC3 because they were holding "their big guns" makes me think Viewtiful Joe is probably a safe bet.
Frank West and any Onimusha character as well.
