I cosplay Nami a lot. <3 I try to go for a more realistic look of what I think she'd look like if she were real, so I just do a pretty average looking orangey-red hair color thing as opposed to the usual fun neon orange. ^^. Comes out way too dark in indoor pictures, though, I've noticed.

Yeah, I went to JACON, Metrocon, and AFO this year…
On Saturday at AFO, for a couple of hours I had my Icy Luffy costume on. My head was bandaged, my arm wrapped in "ice". One OP group saw me on the way to McDonald's and asked me for a couple of photos as a part of their group. I have no contact info on them so I have no idea if they even exist online. And one other person was like, "Who are you supposed to be?" I replied "Luffy, but during his fight with Ao Kiji." To which was responded, "Oh yeah, that guy"
I pick the most obscure characters sometimes...However, my friend Galen keeps pestering me on how my backyard is like perfect for a Cosplay photoshoot, and he wanted to do one this weekend. So I'll probly put the ice back on, for just such an occassion.
On another note, anyone going to Kunicon in Fort Lauderdale/Miami (I forget... the one that's Dec. 16-18) I was thinking of whipping out Afro Luffy again.

I might… I'm trying to hit up most of the Florida cons this year. I was at AE, Jacon, and Metrocon.. but I don't remember seeing you, strange!
You Florida con-goers should also try AnimeSouth, its their first year and is in Destin, Florida from November 18th-20th. I'll hopefully have my Nami, Young Ice, and Kaku done by then.

i saw you at Jacon & was actually outside at Metro when you were taking the pics with the Smoker cosplayer lol. Not sure if i'm going to kunicon this year(a little disappointed last year) & I might just try AnimeSouth if you have more info on it ^^ who knows, maybe I can cosplay something. never done one before but I've got a few friends that could probably help me out with a costume ^^

But you gotta watch out… cosplaying can get very addictive. The only thing I could suggest is start out with something pretty simple, and move on from there.
Anyway, I hope to see you guys there, and keep me posted about costumes!

I didn't have a costume on, I was just walking around like a normal civilian. People could have guessed that I was as an attendant of the Antique's Roadshow that was going on in the convention center- those people seemed freaked out by all the costumed people walking around them. XD

Yes… AnimeSouth. Funny they call it that, because it is very North of me XD. Couple reasons I'm not going. 1) It's like 6 freakin' hours away 2)I've got school things going on. Kunicon is after school, and I know more people that are going, blah blah blah. (however there is Houkocon next summer that's only $5 to pre reg, if you do it before Nov. 30)

For the secondary costume, I could probably go as Kuina. I haven't seen any cosplay of her yet.

Don't worry, you're not the only one who hasn't been to a con. If there was one in Seattle or Tacoma, I would definatly go–if my parents would let me or if I was old enough to drive... I would go as Kaya, Ace, or Sanji.
But just as a heads up, I'm going to be Ace for Halloween! (yay!) And just so people know, I'll wear a shirt--it'll just be one of those shirts that have a man's chest depicted on it. And I've got the right kind of hat, except it's not orange, but I can make improvements on it to make it more like Ace's. (but of course, I'm just planning now. In late september and all of October I'll work on the costume.)

Well the elstic it had 1st was like black so I replaced it with clear… I dumbly put the knot that joined the elastic together on the nose bit and it dug in alot... -rubs nose- and it was annoying to keep on under glasses.. which i wasn't able to get rid off since I'm blind without X3

Hollow thankfully… but there is summit really unpleasent about wearing a hollow fake nose.... I don't think I should say it here cus it's unpleasent XD

ok note… my friends 1st EVER cosplay, he only kinda likes One Piece... we didn't have time to make the costume amazing..... and I wasn't able to take any Usopp VS Franky or even usofranky pics cus I was kinda glued to Luffy most the day XP

Hello, I am new…^_^ I am pretty new at cosplaying(only went as Chouji from Naruto for CN Anime 2005). I am thinking of going as Sogeking for Anime North, so I will have to start working on the costume now. I love all the pics everyone posted!!!

In the pics I posted there was a guy who made a very good Chopper without a body suit X3 tho it was his more human form.
