Apparently its double sided covers. One side with new logo, other with classic.
Which is good. I like having my DVDs the same as much as possible.
On that note i still need to get Dalek War boxset (Skipped on Twin Dilemma and Keys.)

Yeah I saw it. As much as I like Caves. Its nowhere NEAR the top 10. Hell for me it would struggle with top 20. Blink….hmmmm. Again its good story. I prefer Human Nature/Family over it tho.

Human Nature imo was pretty weak. Top 30 maybe but not top 10.
As for the bottom fifty… jesus! Fear Her is the worst rated new series episode of the lot? There are definately worse.
In fact even with Twin Dilemma taking the bottom spot... there are far worse stories than that. I would say that Love & Monsters is outright the worst Doctor Who story of all time

Totally agree with you there. I just can't bring myself to even watch it. I've seen it once, but that was it. Fear Her was no better either.
Really ?
I thought the Human Nature/Family of Blood two parter was one of the best two-parters so far.
They were my favourite in series 3 aside from the finale, but they're always a given. I'm very fond of Paul Cornell's writing.
Infact a recent poll showed many fans would have him take over when Moffat leaves.
My bets are Paul Cornell & Mark Gatiss for future showrunners, they're the only who're worthy!

I didn't really like that 2 parter. Infact, I'd probably rate it as my least favourite of the 2 parters which involve David Tennant.

Heh, was that the one with the support group?
That one was pretty damned awful…

Nah, its far too emotional wishy-washy crap and the whole what if stuff in part 2 was gag worthy. Season 3 for me is definately the weakest of the 4 seasons… which I definately find odd as I reckon Martha was possibly the best companion.

As a whole, I really think that it's an utter mess. Anyone who rates The Dominators and The Krotons so low down in the list, particularly beneath Love & Monsters probably havent seen them and any serious Doctor Who fan who would rate a badly written fan fiction such as Army of Ghosts so highly needs to stop being nine years old. Far too much new stuff rating too high.
Personally, I was raging pretty hard that The War Games was barely in the top 30. It's my number one! Blink is good, very good but top 20 material, not number two.
Paul Cornell is good but I couldn't see him taking over. He's been about the scene writing books and a few audios if im not mistaken for years now. Everybody knows how good his stuff is and I doubt he'd get involved much more than that. I reckon theres more chance of Gary Russell coming along and buggering it all up.
On an unrelated note, anyone been following Hornet's Nest? It's actually a lot better than I'd imagined so far.
Where the bloody hell is Utopia/Sound of Drums/Last of The Time Lords? WTF? -_- Freaking Fear Her is even on the list! FEAR HER! ugh.
Also Castro should be higher IMHO. Keeper of Traken is above it? O_o
I like that Earthshock is so high, but I think it should be a bit higher.

It seems we have very VERY varying opinions on this subject.
I reckon there are far worse new series stories than Fear Her, Castrovalva is a god awful mess, Traken is really good and Earthshock is dreadfully overrated (80's Cybermen, ugh)

We must now battle for superiority!
We must now battle for superiority!
Lets have one thread on here where that doesnt happen haha
I'm only a casual Who fan. I watched it growing up on PBS, (20 years ago) and have seen a spattering of the relaunch episodes, read some of the books and some random stories here and there, and recognize a lot of the episodes on that list. But…
069. Kinda.
136. 42.
There was an episode called "Kinda"????? And "42"? I get thats an obvious Hitchhiker's reference, but I am rather curious what those two episodes are about.
Unless its just typos.
Seriously. "Kinda"?
Or am I just horribly misreading that, and its like, a name. "Kihn-dah" as apposed to the slang of "Kind of".
Probably the first thing. But the second idea amused me far more. "You having a good time?" "Kinda."
42 was more like the American series 24 where it's 'real time' basically about a mining ship that mined a sun and the sun got pissed and possessed the crew and had them kill each other. It was….ok...ish.

I thought it was a great episode! One of the best of the season! Brutally underrated!
Anyone watch Prisoner of The Judoon today?
sucked ass.
Ho is Sarah Jane? I love the character but I am a bit shy of the series.

You love the character but you dont know who she is?
Companion of the 3rd, 4th and 10th Doctors. Series regular in the 70's. Brought her back for the new series and gave her a spin off series which sucks as hard as Torchwood.
Its not THAT bad. Well. I only seen the first series. It has a few nice bits in but not as good as DW.
Torchwood however is always hit and miss with me. Children of Earth was BRILLIANT (Untill they killed off Ianto.) but a lot of series 2 was meh. series 1 was okish too.

lol forgot the "w' it was suppose to be how XD
See, I'm meh on season 1 of Torchwood but like season 2 on and off, but LOVED all of season 3 of Torchwood. Yes, even the death.
DarkPiece, if you really like Sarah Jane you could watch her own show, It's recently started. Thursdays & Fridays & David Tennant
will be cameoing in her wedding episodes. Seems a little childish, but the show is pretty decnt, don't be put off by all the negative hype around it.
And I agree about Children of Earth. Fantastic episodes. Each one felt like it's own separate little mini-movie !
On another note, everything looks positive & in place for Torchwood Series 4, which will be 13 episode run again.

Children of Earth was alright apart from the last episode or so. Doesnt excuse the first two series for being so terribly shite though

I just bought season 1 of Sarah Jane today :) Yeah, the Doctor Who fandom can be really al over the place and everyone hates something so i tend to ignore a lot of the hype and hugely clashing opinions.
Yeah, I'm looking forward to season 4 of Torchwood too~
TARDIS Interior Pictures have leaked. It's nice & orange-y, like RTD's (thank God!)
But it's more hexangonal really than round wth a Staircase. And teh Console appears to be on a levitated Platform.
I can't link the images, But I'm sure if you poke about in the right places you'll find 'em.
Perhpas Combom's Blog or Cameron's Blogtor Who Site, you could try there.
One week to go until our Doctor turns up in Sarah Jane!

I've got to admit, I'm not a fan of this spin off, I'm just looking forward to David being in there

what, I've seen the pics but I cant think why making it look like RTDs would be a good thing?? It looked horrible.
New one shows promise but it would be better in classic white
Any ideas as to when Waters of Mars is gonna be on? I had heard It'd be on Halloween but it doesn't look like it will according to any tv guide.
Any ideas as to when Waters of Mars is gonna be on? I had heard It'd be on Halloween but it doesn't look like it will according to any tv guide.
Yep. RTD's said it'll not be Halloween.
But CIN This year is on the 20th of November.
For CIN, we're getting a Special Preview Trailer of the Christmas Episode.
So, It's expected the Waters of Mars'll have aired by then.
We're all thinking it'll be 14th of November (which i think is a Saturday)
Also, It's been cofirmed, Part one of the two-parter finale will air on Christmas Day, Part Two is speculated to air on New Years Day.
Waters of Mars has been confirmed to be on Sunday November 15th. Just 2 weekends away. I can't wait. Its a pity, because such a "scary" episode woulda been perfect for Halloween.
Woah. A Sunday? That's….not normal. Although I suppose it means its not going up against Star Wars the day before.
First clip up of Dreamland and the fan reaction has really NOT been good. Animation as shockingly bad. Really quite disappointed with it.

As for The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith… well... I cant really help but feel that it suffered from the same problems that bringing back Lethbridge-Stewart had: Not nearly enough screen time to justify the character being in it. The story wasnt particularly bad but at the same time it wasnt particularly great either. Not a lot happened and by the time they figured it out, it was over.
Oh Lord, that looks awful. What a shame.
Wasn't really holding out on something that amazing but god….that was really just TERRIBLE. Instead of this couldn't they be doing something like more Animated Episodes for Lost Stories (Tenth Planet anyone?)
Prepare yourselves. The Waters of Mars is less than 23 hours away now. I'm bursting with excitement for this episode. Gonna watch it in the dark & everythin
Just saw on BBC america the Actor who plays The Doctor will be on the Graham Norton show tonight 10pm PT
1 hour 17 mins and counting. This is gonna be awesome./ I'll be back online fater the episode just to give me views on it…but obviouly no spoilers.
GEEZ! WHAT AN EPISODE! So dark…I think my heart stopped a few times while watching the ending! lol

Also cheered for Ood Sigma. Gadget (Sorry but he was easily awesome XD), Ice Warriors and countless other things.
Although that bit with the Dalek just flying away bugged me to no ends.

Yeah, that made no sense at all
Me thinks the Doctor was telling lies there

He did say, it realised that her death was already a fixed moment in time, and thats why it left…
I didn't get the ending so i re-watched it and it all made sense. It was some what scary, but it was more rather emotional..as the Doctor just watched on as the tragedy unfolded. It must absolutely kill him to stand there knowing he can't help and save them
Trailers for the X-mas special looks amazin.
! Oh my God, the Master is back. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!. Thats gonna make it all really epic
Yeah, that made no sense at all

Well it did make sense and I sort of like the idea of the Daleks having to obey the laws of time but it sort of makes things like the Dalek invasion seem a bit stupid. They don't mind removing planets from the universe but can't bring themselves to destroy a part of human history/future.
Overall though, I really liked the episode.
it wasnt the concept of the Dalek flying away. It was just it looked so bad when it was doing it. Kinda…I dunno XD Weird
Episode wasnt the greatest. The Flood looked great but didnt really do anything and the origin wasnt explored nearly enough. The ending was a bit ropey for my liking though.
Looking foward to the xmas one though. Lets hope they get The Master RIGHT this time.
I LOVED that episode - So dark - The Doctor drove a woman to suicide… I guess the creators are trying a whole new angle to the Doctor - He acted very pompous and arrogant towards the end - Potential for what the doctor could become, perhaps? Maybe becoming the true 'Destroyer of Worlds'? Only time can tell.
Fires going on OUTDOORS on Mars.
The water not freezing OUTDOORS on Mars (I know they said it was due to the fission thing, but that just means the water that they left behind should have frozen but it didn't)
Human crew led by an old woman - c'mon, man, REAL astronauts would be superhumans.
The fact their base is HUGE, yet thy were apparently there for a year only… So they built it ALL in one year - superhuman indeed.
We all know water evaporates, so why weren't they all infected?
Perhaps I'm growing up, but Doc Who doesn't thrill me like it did back then... :(
because you are thinking about things too hard. Just fucking enjoy it.
The fact their base is HUGE, yet thy were apparently there for a year only… So they built it ALL in one year - superhuman indeed.
Wasnt it said in the episode that the whole base was lowered down?
I've been lookin over the cast for "The End of Time" special coming up. It has some guy listed as a Time Lord….. Looks like we could be seeing a return of the Time lords perhap???
For those who did not get a chance to see it last night or live outside the UK, Children in Need once again had a special preview for the Christmas special:
