Wait… Croc has a tragic past... I hope this isn't going where I think it is...
Maybe Oda realized how popular Croc is and that's the way it goes.
Once again… Do we have an age for Croc?

Me too, Trident from a fishman? Probably, some sort of claw from a Zoen DF user. Was it ever said how he got that mark? The unknown Yonkou perhaps?
perhaps. . .
and this is waaaay farfetched
but maybe BB has nails on his fingers and scratched?
i haven't a clue but goig by his appearance I'd say he is about 40-ish
why does it matter?
Catfight FTW!

Just so… Croc x Robin xD
So we would have an asshole in the crew xD
Luffy: We have to save them
Croc: Why let them die
Luffy: No you asshole
Croc: Well OK
xD
This will never happen. Not without Mr 1 as well xD
Was'nt croc's angry because he can't defeat WB and this guy at the time seemingly fatally wounded him easily. He was pissed as he was trying to reach WB's level and by association this made him look weak.
Did one panel really spawn all this outrageous speculation? Good god…
Crocodile is Iva's son.
That's the impression I get.
Yes. That's what I want to believe in. Ivankov always calls him Croco boy, so perhaps there was a really tragic event in Croc's life.
hm .. well, iva calling him croco boy is not that strange ^^'' he call's bon-chan .. bon boy
but really, there has to be something very tragic about his past .. as kishido already pointed out … croc was once like luffy (at least he said so himself). it needs a lot to transform someone like that into such a bastard ^.^
i think the defeat against whitebeard plays a big part in his changing .. somehow. i mean, he gave up on his dream to be the pirate king .. and during the last fight with luffy he told him that he should give up on wanting to be the pirate king as well since there are loads of powerful pirates out there .. his dream will only get smashed in the end. people normally give "advice" out of experience ^^
so i don't find it far fetched that croc lost his crew during the fight with whitebeard and .. became .. evil and .. hm ^^ ah well .. oda will hopefully enlighten us soon

Yes I really hope for some big twist… But Oda is epis so he will do it.
And if he joins... very small chances... Than he would be a far better choice than Boa or Jinbei in my eyes.
Like I said only Mr 1 is confusing me. He seems always to be with Croc. So that is a big part against it for now
ah well … i wouldn't really want croc to join. i feel this would ruin his character. but he hopefully forms a new crew ^-^ and starts to smash everyone who gets in his way hihihi
Yeh I doubt it too. Just saying it would be more amazing than Boa or Jinbei
Jozu seemed to know Crocodile well.
Amazing if he joined indeed, the crew would be dead by sunrise!
I don't think Whitebeard took out Crocodile's crew, or Crocodile wouldn't be as upset at him being wounded. And it'd be too similar to Moria's story. His shtick is hating trust so maybe Croc's crew ran away during the fight, or cut off his hand themselves.

yeah you're right, i totally forgott about his hatred regarding trust and friendship …
Call me crazy for this theory… and I don't believe it either but Oda is that twisted...
Theory if Croc was really a girl or whatever...
Croc fought WB and was totally crushed and near dead... Somehow Iva found him and rescued him from death with his abilities but with a great sacrifice.
Maybe he had to use a lot of manly abilities to heal Croc and that's why he changed into a man. With that tragic he hates WB even more and only Iva is aware of if what Croc's secret is
Seriously what kind of woman would be able to fight to death with WB ?That would turn her into the world strongest woman alive.
After reading cnet's translation of the chapter I'm sure that croc and WB are related one way or another , I believe in the croc is WB's biological son theory.
Crocodile being a woman would ruin his character. Oda wont do this.

i agree.
dunno but he does seem .. very manly ^^ naa~ i just don't like this theory coz i can't see it happen .. ever since iva revealed that he knew a secret of croc and people came up with that gender change stuff ^^ i thought "no way .. " ^^ i will trust in oda ..
Seriously? You two honestly think someone as sinister and under-handed as Crocodile is far-removed from womanly traits?
I smell a paradox.
The Super Nova's Will become division captains of the SH pirates.
( They aren't strong/interesting enough to be any serious threat to the crew after the war imo. :ninja: )
Yeah I know my theroy was crazy… But his son would be good enough...

I disagree, I think they just haven't gotten much build up. We've seen all of Luffy's adventures yet we haven't heard or seen any hardships that the Supernovas have gone through, I kinda wish Oda had a Supernova volume ready to surprise us with, but hey he's got a lot coming up for us soon.
It's also wrong to say the Supernovas won't be a threat to the SHs. Kid law… all of them want to become the next PK. Why would the gems of the first half all join luffy? They all had their own ambitions and adventures.

That would be purely WIN!
I don´t think he has the time to think up all the adventures those guys could have had :D
Any chance Whitebeard will die and him unleashing an earthquake that will bring up the Fishmen island symbolizing the end of his protective reign over it?
Hmm, if FI ended up on the surface the fishmen would probably be forced to make a new home.
Above the water they'd be as good as dead with their power to protect themselves lowered.
If WB did that it would only destroy them, so I would say no chance.
FI is probably exactly like that place in star wars with the bubble domes you can go through. Above the the surface would just kill their home.
Besides it's right under the grand line isn't it? You'd have to destroy Mariejoa and the Grand line to raise FI. xD Altho, that would be cool.
The chances are near to 0. Cause:
Anyone have any idea why the hell Ivankov is pulling a stupid "omg crocodile" face every time Croc gets a line of dialogue?
Ivankov is in love with Crocodile! Seriously though, Ivankov needs to reveal this secret already.
If croc is really his son it would make since maybe croc stepped outta line and pulled a Blackbeard on him . Croc could have easily got his hand sliced off by that naginata of WB . Croc doesn't respect authority of any sort, all he wanted was to be king and Whitebeard showed him the door the hardway Croc came back and his crew got slaughtered . I mean look at the Spade Pirates they stood up to whitebeard and got whooped so bad ony Ace is remembered. Croc more than likely was his child or something
While it would be awesome for Crocodile to be WB's real son or daughter ^^;, I think him being the former 2nd Division Commander that Ace took over is more likely. If he was both even better. xD
That's right! Buggy is lucky he can reform himself. I like your prediction, then he will thaw out the Den Den Mushi and broadcast the end of the war.
I think that we are facing total chaos after the war. Everything will be stirred up, with the marines losing much power and the probable loss of a yonkou. This war is the perfect chance for the Mugiwara, as they enter the new world, the balance is will be broken, providing them with the space to move freely.
As for the Marines, my guess is that after the war they will split into two sides, possibly declaring war on each other(the absolute-moral justice thing). With the revalutionaries, the whole world(expect the new world) will be in war state.
Also something came to my mind about the weapons. I think that the main reason the WG wanted to construct an ancient weapon was because of the revalutionaries, not the yonkou(As the yonkou do not threathen WG's rule but the revalutionaries do). Revalutionaries grew stronger and the WG couldn't do much about it, so now they are looking for weapons that will make their rule absolute.
That's exactly why they have Doctor Vegapunk making all those Kumabots.
Guan Yu was a general serving under the warlord Liu Bei uring the late Eastern Han Dynasty and Three Kingdoms era of China. He is known as a very confident man who was arrogant and invoking towards enemy but modest towards men who respected him.
His health got worse because he got hit by a poisoned arrow while defending a castle.
In his last battle, Guan Yu realised that Eastern Wu had secretly formed an alliance with Cao Wei and attacked Jingzhou while he was attacking Fancheng.Guan Yu attempted to break out of the encirclement together with his son Guan Ping and subordinate Zhao Lei but failed. They were captured in Zhang Town and executed by Eastern Wu forces after refusing to surrender.
(Almost all of the above is from Wikipedia so that means I do not have own these lines).
I thought his weapon looked very similar to WB, and I believe that perhaps Oda referenced this man to illustrate WB. After some research, his issue with health and his death with his son seemed interesting to me. PerhapsWB and Ace will die in this war, or maybe not. Correct me if this seems like BS and remove this thread.
You can look at how Guan Yu looked from here:

My theory:
Dragon is a Bubble Bubble Fruit user. From his right hand, he creates hot bubbles. From his left, he creates cold and from his mouth, he creates electrical.
YOU WILL ALL SEE
You turned Dragon into a clima-tact, now there is even more evidence for Embryo Usopp DNA cloning theory.
I have developed a theory regarding Sanji and the left side of his face.
We all know that the left side of Sanji's face is mostly covered with hair. But nobody knows why. Many automatically assume that there is a problem with his left eye - scarring from his past, heterochromia, sharingan, etc. - and state that there is a grand mystery to be solved.
Now then, on the subject of Sanji's facial features, we have his eyebrows. Rather curly and unusual, they have been pointed out on more than one occasion (notably, Zoro and Wanze) - each time, to Sanji's chagrin. It could be suggested that either Sanji has a kind of embarassment regarding his eyebrows, or he just dislikes them all together.
So if Sanji is irked by his eyebrows, why not simply shave them off? In addition to looking creepy as all hell, one can obviously assume that if they are naturally curly like that, then they will simply grow back in the exact same shape, resulting in another cycle of shaving and looking creepy as all hell. Not to mention they'll get thicker, darker, and more noticeable. :ninja:
So no shaving, then. Why not just cover the eyebrows with bandages? People like to give sympathy to people with wounds (i.e. asking them what in blazes happened to their forehead.) If he covered his eyebrows with bandages, it would only bring more notice to them, thus pushing Sanji into more situations in which he must confront the issue of his eyebrows.
If a poor man with crazy eyebrows cannot shave them like the naughty sheep they are, or coat them with generous layers of healing applicants, what can he do to save face? Cover them with his own hair. People usually don't question hairstyles (except for really suspicious ones that could be hiding bombs or some sort of dangerous weaponry…). The issue comes with eyesight and style: if he just covers his entire face with hair, he'll turn into the hipster version of cousin It who can't see worth a damn, and if he cuts it so that the hair stops at the top of his eyes, he'll look like a bleached Beatle (Maybe not too bad, but apparantly not his style; he's no Walrus. Maybe one of the Eggmen, but...)
Therefore, to keep with a style that suits him and for the sake of being able to see clearly, Sanji has most likely chosen to accept the embarassment of having one of his eyebrows exposed in exchange for having another one completely covered. (Just a theory, mind you. Thanks bunches if you bothered reading it~!)
Rubbish. He could just have got an fringe that covers his eyebrows.

Sanji? With bangs?
…I can't imagine it.
Sanji suffers from hypersensia of the eyes and taste buds. Notice that Zeff complains of Sanji's food being 'unfit to serve the customers' in the flashback just before Sanji and Luffy head out with Yosaku. Then, Sanji takes up smoking despite Zeff's warning that he'll 'ruin his sense of taste', a common affliction suffered by smokers. Yet, despite taking up a filthy habit that should ruin his future as a chef, Sanji actually becomes better in the kitchen. As for his eyesight, I'm going to assume that Sanji suffered from debilitating double vision before coming up with his current solution of covering one eye with his impenetrable, unflappable mane.
Perhaps it's a very lazy eye?
I don't think it has anything to do with powers. His hair lives and covers his left eye.
Another theorie: Chrocodile was Whitebeards daughter. She once went to Momoiro Island where she met Dragon. They became drunk and Crocodile became pregnant with Luffy. Short after the birth she went out to sea again leaving Luffy behind and fought her father . She lost the fight ,loosed her hand and got a nice scar across the face. She was picked up by Ivan who just came sailing along and was changed by him into a man. He sailed further swearing revenge on WB and ate a DF along the way. The rest is history.

I like it. It's just too simple that I don't think anyone's thought of it yet… make them think there's something up with his eye when it's really his eyebrow that bothers him. Why not? After all, he does seem to take his looks very seriously, and he does look a little weird with both eyebrows showing (if you have the Mild P.O.P. for Sanji you know what I mean; I really don't see anything out of the ordinary with the other side of his face). Not to mention he didn't seem to be really bothered in the SBS when Oda-san asked to see his left eye. If it had been his left eyebrow he wanted to see, I think the reaction would've been different.
He covers it cos he's an emo.
Dye hasn't been invented in the OP world, you see.

Dye? Really? How do you explain the colorful clothes? Also, Sanji's often happy; have you seen a happy emo? ._.
And I thought they had makeup in the OP world… I don't see Sanji wearing the lipstick or nail polish typical of an emo. If he's an emo he sure doesn't act like one...
I mean bleach, hair dye, whatevs.
