lol I plan to as soon as I get a job buckling down and finishing all the costumes I have planned! Especially considering most of them are relatively easy. I AM GOING TO DO IT!

I am just hoping to find a job! Of course I am being picky a little bit about the job. But I have been a manager for 3 years and I was making close to 30k a year. So I am hoping to get a supervisor position somewhere that will pay me at least 25k a year.
That also is mon-fri 9-5 type job. Enough of this changing hours and weekends crap.

I was jobless all summer again, though i get the short end of the stick cuz i get out of college about 3 weeks later then everyone else >.< by that time all the jobs are taken.
Looking forward to hopfully getting my job back when i get back to school crosses fingers Though things are looking grim with budget cuts for student employment T.T But i needs to find a job in order to fund cosplay and cons, as well as be able to afford my text books.
i'm going back in a week. my rooms a disaster area from packing >.<

Blaaaaah XP I pinned my patterns on the fabric, and I go to cut it and the siscors I have won't cut it XP I think BOTH PAIRS of my normal big fabric cutting sisscors AND both pairs of shears are at my house =_= I must get a sewing box, because I thought I atleast had one pair of my big ones!! Eep, thats another $15 I have to spend.

I need to stop using paypal, because I mad a mistake and charged my GLM figures to the WRONG bank account (the one without money) and I just paid $56 in overdraft fees =_=XX I didn't need that right now… but I have a chance to make an extra $100 this weekend. So there shall be profit.
Annnnnd my grandma will help me sew the Ponyo dress this weekend annnnnnd pay for my new phone >3< So hopefully I can go get the new one on monday... Yay no more crap phone that barely works.
And it looks like the end of September will be when I get that new laptop XP Another month but meh, I'll live.
Off-Topic XD.. Well MORE off-topic then normal.
Working the waterpark and retail was just painful with the bad hours @_@ While I did only have to work 2-3 full load days at the waterpark, I did not appreciate having to work EVERY Sunday but 2 the entire summer when I told them I had church obligations. They only gave sunday's off to the people in their church, though I couldn't complain too much because I got most Saturdays off.
Ok I'll put this off topic text wall under a tag because it's a long gripe about Joanns XP
! Joanns was only bad because the district manager was a dickhead and fired our manager (who was really good) for no real apparent reason other then to flex his manpowers or something. I had a very good working schedule, but the other managers filling in refused to follow it. They would not put me to work but like 2 days during the week (I would work 2/3 weekdays per week because I would work every other full weekend, so weekdays were determined by weekend (would work every other day during the week).
! So they would put me on Tuesdays and Thursdays most of the time, or Monday and Wednsday. But I told them I would work every other weekend (and a weekend means Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday). So I would work 2 days in a week, and then they would put me on SUNDAY when I was not even in town and never put me on the weekends any other time but then @_@ And then they started putting me on all week and pulling the sunday card (and schedules were posted SUNDAY (yeah bad idea) so I wouldnt know I was working that sunday)…. And yeah.
! I had a crazy English AP teacher who started to give us 3 essays to do IN A NIGHT and I couldn't take it anymore, my hair was falling out I was so stressed out.So yeah, I'm kind of apprehensive about working and going to school with my stress tolerence being so low @_@ It's going nothing to do with the fact I don't want to do it, because I do not mind the work and I don't mind the schoolwork and study time, but together it was a combination so stressful my hair was falling out. You can't fake that XP
Atleast for this junior/community college, I don't have to worry about tuition money (and I found something where you can just rent books for the semester so, hopefully that will axe buying expensive books as well)… but money to save/spending money would be nice ;_; Especially if I want to get to Otakon and ACen XP
You know... I think a lot of stuff I post in this forum should go in the how was your day thread XDDDDD

Omni.. you'd never EVER be able to survive here. I make minimum wage, which is roughly about 10k a year. Even at my loan company job I only would've made 13k a year.. I don't know how ANYONE can even spend 2 thousand or 3 thousand dollars a month __ Good luck, dayum, I wish I had credentials to make that much, that is fucking amazing ____

lol yeah I am actually lucky that I qualify for making at least that much. I didn't go to college so honestly I should only qualify for min. wage (which in IL is $8 so it isn't that bad…) Although the fact that I didn't go to college sometimes kicks me in the butt and even though I have the experience people who have a college degree (even if it has nothing to do with retail...)get the job over me.

well I went to college for 4 years and it didn't do me a single bit of good ==;; so In my opinion college is overrated. I mean, not for doctors, nurses, things like that, but for me who isn't talented in any given thing, college wasn't such a great experience, like much of anything here in Oklahoma ==;; I want to take a make-up class, I want to learn how to apply a bald cap professionally without having to shave my head, and I want to learn photography, but the photography class at the college I attended fills up like in 5 seconds and I can never get in =_=;; it sucks that anything i'm passionate about or interested in doesn't pay well, there's no jobs in it, or the jobs are soo scarce it's impossible to make any money anyways xD ahahah I'm soo screwed.

Honestly I wouldn't bother too much about taking a makeup class. If you can buy books on it and network yourself out to those who do know how to do makeup rather well (I am assuming you are talking about doing special effects makeup.) From what I understand while it does help to have a degree in special effects makeup, a lot of the old timer's in fx makeup just did it through trial and error.
So if you want to go that route try to find a "master" to apprentice under.

arei- i know how you feel. This week was the first week of school. I'm taking 13 hours and working full time (and working on becoming Kitchen manager…i work at chipotle btw). Plus I need tons of time to practice my cello. gahhh, I don't handle stress well at all (in the past when i work AND go to school, i either quit my job or dropped my classes ;_;) I'm trying to stay motivated because i need my job and just want to finish school already. If i quit again, i'll feel like the biggest failure again. ughh sometimes i think i really would benefit from joining the army or something (i could really use the discipline). but i'm not going to. i really doubt its for me.
but basically to manage my time, i'm limiting myself to only going to one smash tournament in January (for those that don't know, I play ssbm competatively, and travel around for the tourneys...its where most my money goes ;;) and no new cosplays until next semester. I'm going to work on my hancock for now(fix shit, oooh and i'm going to make a big snake!! :D excited) and pick a con next semester to go to ;;
it sucks when there's so much you want to do, but so little time and you know you can't do them all. I have too many hobbies.
and to make this relevant to the thread: I'm redoing my hancock sleeves now...I was thinking of that stuff that makes collars and cuffs stiff on mens shirts...does anyone know what that is? what its called? where you can buy it? I was going to put it under the sleeves so they aren't so flimsy. good idea or no?? i kind of just think of shit, go with it, and hope it works =/
oh gosh, and this post has turned into me writing a freaking book. sorry :)

I thought about joining the army (or the air force) too, but they would probably beat the shit out of me because I'd cry all the time XD It might not entirely be a bad thing but meh, I wouldn't be interested lest I could get on the bomb squad :P
And yeah, it is hard to find something that I'm passionate about that would make decent money >_> I'm going to start with Art but, most likely I may find a different major. I would love to major in History but I don't think I will ever have the patience to become a teacher so, I'm not sure how good that will do me.
I don't think it matters too much in the junior college right now, as long as I make up my mind before I go to regular university and stick with that to get my bachelors >> I also thought about meterology because I love weather and they offer it at this school, and I might just look and see what the classes are for that and major in that and minor in art but it depends. I heard that meterology is ALOT of math, ALL that math you swear you will never use in real life .__. All the math I suck hard at DX I must see if this is true.
Starting pay is not much for meterologists either but, it goes up to a decent amount if you work at it long enough.
And I hope I can take some classes online (i'll ask when I have to go back and drop off my papers) @_@ I was hoping they offered a lot of the basic credits but it doesn't seem like they do… ((ugh I wanted to take math online and save myself the humilitation and torture @_@))
And slightly back on topic damn you walmart to HELL for getting rid of the sewing section, I swear. I do NOT appreciate having to drive out almost an hour to go get fabric or supplies, you just HAD to axe the fabric section. And that was the ONLY place in BFE to get fabric (there is a quilting store but, sewing wise the only thing I can really get there is needles, thread, and I think maybe basic cottons) XP
Theres a Hobby Lobby like 2 minutes from my house at home but, when I stop going back and forth every week I will be raging @_@

I thought about joining the Air Force back when I was graduating from High school. But You have to have 20/20 vision to fly the planes etc etc for the Air Force. Plus I didn't have the support of my family and honestly you need support to do something like that, so I decided not to join.
Hahah Arei, I am sorry that does suck! Luckily for me, the fabric store is actually a little bit closer than the Wal-Mart. Plus when my Wal-mart had the fabric section it really sucked anyway. So it was always off to Joann's or Hancock's I went.

Hobby Lobby fabric section is about as basic and fail as Walmarts was too XDDD But there is nothing else. The closest thing is Hancocks and thats about 45 minutes away, and then Joanns is 45 minutes away in the other direction.
Ok fabric is all cut out now @_@ And grandparents are going to the football game so I hope it's a good one so my grandpa doesn't come back early and I get a lot of time to sew sew sew ~_~ Then Ponyo work shall begin/need to get to dying/adding the wefts to Kaku's wig.
I'm so happy, I found out that Katie Bair's wig dye forumla does work on Elora fibers so phew @_@ Hopefully this will work!!
Also have to find a suit and a cap that will fit my giant head with the wig on…. that's a really hard thing =X I may have to pay out the wazoo to get a cap overnighted here if I can't find anything XP
And finish painting the swords I never went back to doing that @_@
I hope Ponyo's dress doesn't fail, otherwise that will suck out all of my time.

I have to add wefts to the wig because there are no sideburns, and in a couple of places near the back where its short and my hair shows. I finally tried on the wig since I got my hair cut short (3 weeks ago, pfft) and its SO MUCH BETTER now <3 so now I don't have as much wefting to do <3
I still have to sew the vest (I didn't get any sewing done tonight but, it's ready to go!), sew in wefts/dye wig, paint the swords, find a suit… and sew Ponyo's dress and bloomers =_= That's the big time sucker right there, but hopefully it won't be too hard to do.
I've got to treat some wood in the new parts of my grandma's office sometime this weekend too on top of the normal cleaning but that'll be an extra $100 and that's a good thing XD
I'm really irritated my mom is coming even though I told her I'm too busy to do anything. I can't stop and drop what I'm doing because I've got all this sewing and cleaning and stuff to do and I lose Monday afternoon/evening/night and tuesday morning of work, though hopefully monday I can go and find a suit for Kaku (and paint the swords in the morning/some on Sunday).
My grandma is going to help me with the dress so hopefully that won't be too much trouble.
And monday I can go get the new phone~~ eeeeeeeeee!!
Damn I hate this computer @_@ But it will be a month until I can get a new one... They're not orange rimmed like how his are, but I found these and thought I'd NEVER get closer. I was sooo excited to find these, they're tinted and everything xDOkay..now I found these the following weekend XDD

…I almost shit myself. for TWO BUCKS I got these almost PERFECT Scratchman Apoo glasses. No they're not tinted, but YES THEY HAVE ORANGE FRAMES XD Also they don't have some sort of magnification in them, the only other glasses I found the right shape and ALMOST the right color were reading glasses x_x;; NO ONE wants to wear those for hours and go blind, I know I didn't x_x; I LOVE THESE they are soo perfect ;__; if only they were tinted, but it's okay. I'm NEVER gonna get closer, I've looked and looked and LOOKED O_OOkay. NOW.. I need to get the headphones. But first, I'm gonna be looking around for fake hands/arms with hands on them since I AM doing the double elbow thing. I AM. Right now is the perfect time to look since it's approaching Halloween season xD If you guys happen to stumble upon a pair of hands that look REALLY good, lemme know O_O I'd HAPPILY pay for them and have you ship them to me!!! Thankyou for any help you guys, you're the best!!

So. I started sewing the vest today. So far so good, though I ran into a problem that the instructions do NOT explain at all but, I think I figured it out. I think this should work, and in awhile after I go work out I'll get back to it and hopefully get this done tomorrow. Hopefully it continues to go well and so far I have not botched it XDDD Yay for my first sewing attempt!! (that is actually wearable, the cape doesn't count).
This sewing machine is shit == Even my grandma now agrees (she has never used it because she couldn't figure out how to work it right, and with good reason, it's EVIL) and says she'll get another one because this one is terrible >> I'm looking into getting a kenmore, I hear those are good. Hopefully whatever I get WORKS and I don't have to stop and fix it every 5 minutes and sewing will be slightly smoother.
This is kind of stressing me out a bit, SO what I'm going to do for Ponyo is try to find a dress that is close to what I planned on sewing. I've got half a dozen (or more if I find more XD) thrift stores I can hit in the next few days and hopefully I can find SOMETHING that will work for this con, otherwise it's not going to happen for AFest. All I need is the dress, but I have 6 days to sew the entire dress and Kaku has so much left to do, so I'm not going to stress myself any more over it.
Then after the con hopefully I can snag a new machine and I won't be under pressure to sew the dress and can get it right, but MAYBE I can find something that will work for the con that will look good (I still want to sew the dress anyway, because it's too cute XD).

I was in the middle of trying to figure out what I stated above that the pattern instructions so stupidly left out when my aunt just showed up and dumped the cousins on us so she and my uncle could go to a movie. What the FUCK DX Can you GET any ruder?! I got really steamed and then magically figured out how the pattern was supposed to go but I still came up here to clean and go work out because ugh @_@ That really pisses me off, you don't do that when she KNEW we were busy sewing. I don't have TIME to drop everything and I really need my grandma's help with some of this @_@
Thus I won't stress out about the Ponyo dress, because if I do I'll probably be crying the first day of the convention (I have a very unconsiderate roommate so if I had to deal with that after stressing out I'd be very very sad). Afest is to be enjoyed, not stressed over @_@

The little button on the front of the belt buckle is actually a button! I found them at JoAnn's on a whim! So totally go check out the buttons and seew what you can find! I did have to spray paint it and cut off the loop that the thread goes trough, though.
And yes, that is my Yuri costume that Brandee is wearing, but THAT IS OKAY!
Angel was working yesterday, and we've misplaced the boots, so no Youshi pictures yet. So I guess we'll have to wait until after the con for her. =3

Ok stupid pattern is STUPID. It gave the SHITTIEST directions on adding these two pieces on there, the directions and picture made NO sense so I guessed, and I figured out today I had it put on wrong so I spent an hour and a half ripping the pieces off to put them on right and ugh @_@ it ripped a hole in the fleece and stretched it. I think I was able to save it but ugh, for awhile I thought I ruined it because the collar looked like shit.
Though I think I fixed it, so I go to add the zipper and we got a closed zipper == So I can't finish this til Tuesday now but, all I've got left to do is add the zipper and do the finishing and it's all done!! I'll add the wefts/dye the wig Tuesday too. Need to get this done @@!!
Need to look over the Ponyo dress pattern to see if that might be doable >_> It looks easier, no super fancy tricks like this vest has been.
…. If I do have time to do W7 Kaku, I want a different pattern >_____> (though actually, the directions for the particular design in this pattern I would use for that outfit ARE WAY CLEARER then the one I used for this =_=)
Oh well, it's getting there!! For my first sewing job its not totally horrible XD

So we went to drop off some clothes at Goodwill today and on a whim decided to look in there. I found a dress that is almost perfect for a cosplay I want my daughter to do. Just need to dye it. But I got it for a fricking dollar! Amazing!

That's where I found my Kidd boots, at a thrift store all the way up in Pennsylvania xDDDD I'm looking into replacing them though since they're falling apart =_=;; Guhhhh anyone have any idea where to find knee high boots that don't have a great big chunky heel?

It has IM and you can run ALL THREE AT THE SAME TIME! (and they actually work) and really shiny internet and facebook/myspace/twitter aps and I have ponyo as my ringtone and the keyboard and OMFG!!!
Lol it may sound silly but I'm so excited to have a fancy phone that can do stuff (especially IM, because I've been paying for unlimited internet usage and NEVER got to use it because my old phone wouldn't handle it) because I've always had the free phones which die a lot and well.. just don't do much.

And also good is I found a suit for Kaku!!! I ended up buying two jackets, because one fits PERFECTLY and looks awesome but I'm not sure how well it will be with the vest under it (though I'm wearing the giant boob bra so, with the binder and compression shirt it should fit better, so maybe). And the other one I bought is a little big and would fit but oh MAN, the shoulders are OBNOXIOUSLY padded so I look like I have GIANT shoulders and a tiny waist.
Hell I look just like Blueno XDD Pfft, maybe sometime XD
And the resale store had awesome leather shoes that will work for Kaku that were half price!!! They're a little ragged but they will be fine with just some polishing I'm sure. I don't need to go buy a nice pair of men's leather shoes that I'll only wear for cosplay :P
Hopefully I can get the zipper tomorrow and finish it and have the whole outfit done… I still have to find a black baseball cap that will fit my head though with the wig on =_=

er actually you should just get some of that purple drys clear elmers glue sticks! If your Wal-Mart is the same as ours, it's 5 cents for a two pack on clearance or something xD

OH MY GOD....
I JUST got boots for my Kidd cosplay. They ZIP UP MY LEG.. OH M Y FUCKING GOD.. you guys.. have NO IDEA how HARD it is for me to find boots that ZIP up my leg ___ I ...I am sooo excited xDDDDDDDD I have giant calves and so nothing that zips will EVER zip up my gargantuan legs. I went to Walls here in town, and found a pair of PERFECT black boots. They give me NO HEIGHT, infact, worse that the other ones I was using, but they are FAR more accurate, they're made of faux leather I think so they won't fray like my other ones, and they're just.. SOO PERFECT..... __ I loves them sooo sooo soooo soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much ^__^
