**Okay, so I was in the shower, thinking about what Wanze said, about Robin's dark secret or whatever. Then I remembered her age, and WHEN she sank the Marine ships. Two years after Roger's death.
Also, Robin can read poneglyphs. The only other person known to read them was Roger.
It's clearly possible that Robin is the daughter of Roger. She's old enough, and the Gov't knows how dangerous she is - possibly cause she was closest in blood to the Pirate King himself…
This is all speculation, mind you, but I thought it was interesting enough to post.

It is amazingly interesting, and again, another reason to put all the people who said Robin was the most disposable member of the Strawhat Crew to rest.
It seems all too obvious, that there's something strange about her involving Gold Roger. She's been kept in a shade of mystery since she appeared as a crew member, and now that the events of Water 7 have begun to revolve the entire plot, as it stands, around Nico Robin, there's something more than the fact she sunk a fleet of Navy Ships as a child about her. She's been shrouded in this odd realm of mystery, and hasn't really revealed too much about herself, at all.
It all seems too obvious, that Nico Robin has some sort of huge revelation waiting to happen. She has it on the tip of her tongue, but unfortunately, I don't think she's about to reveal anything to Sogeking, unfortunately. Perhaps even this curse she carries has something to do with Gold Roger, indirectly?
Hell, Robin has been kept as.. dare I say it? - A darker character. She's older, more mature, elegant, and her ability is somewhat unusual, too. The fact she can decipher these ancient codes proves her to be a whole lot more than Sir Crocodile's personal tool, and gives her a whole lot of significance towards the actual plot, now. She's been kept in the dark too long, and now, something is going to happen. Something big is going to take place, and when it happens, I don't think that things are going to simply be the same again.
The Government have always been desperate to get hold of her, and she always seems to show some sort of higher knowledge than most of the cast at present. I'm looking of course at her conversations with the King of Alabasta regarding the ancient texts, and her obvious intelligence above that of Sir Crocodile, too. What sort of man, unless entirely insane, would kill someone because they refused to believe that they were being told the truth?
I personally think she was hiding something from Sir Crocodile in Alabasta, frankly. She didn't need him at all, she was simply using him for his power within the Government, and the ability needed to gain access to Alabasta's ancient texts.
The Daughter of Gold Roger? - It now seems ever so likely.
And when Nico Robin rocks the world of One Piece, soon, I'm going to personally laugh. Because all those people who called her the most disposable member, and that Nami was superior to her, well, how beautifully wrong they'll be.
Speculation it might be, however. I'm simply awaiting the outcome of Water 7 and what will happen beyond. All will soon become revealed, in time. I'm nothing but optimistic about it all, honestly.
