Anyone think that something will happen to Magellan causing Hannyabal to become the new chief, I can see something happening to Magellan letting him get on the Cover Story and he has to find a place where they accept poison and etc!
@Fiasco.:
My God everyone is part of Roger's crew nowadays.
"He's really old and sweaty, he's gotta be from ROger's crew".
"Franky's mom abandoned him to be in Roger's crew".
"The other two Younko have to be in Roger's crew!".
"Roger's Crew is imprisoned on lvl 6 of Impel Down!!!!"
I'd find it really corny if every single person we met in the story had some kind of link to Gold Roger.
My theory on the other hand is that Haki is the Force! Think about it Oda is a huge Star Wars fan, and Luffy's father being a powerful official in a army, and he doesn't even know his father like that. Garp is obviously Obi-wan but we need a Yoda…..i'm guessing our OP Yoda is the one imprisoned on lvl 6. Yeah, and the real Sith Lord who metored Dragon is Pandaman!!!
You also forgot everyone joining the crew! that sh*t is annoying as hell!
wooooo here is a good funny one
Buggy is Frankys father !!!!!
if magallen fails then i think he will be targeted by the government like cp9 have been, and then Hannibal will take his place…......
or maybe magallen will become a prisoner in his own prison..........a cover story of either of them later would be nice though

In a story about Pirates, specifically the protagonist becoming King of Pirates, its bound to happen that as he progresses, he's going to run into people connected to the Former King. Anyone who is a pirate during THE GOLDEN AGE OF PIRACY has a connection to Roger whether they like it or not.
He's kinda key to the story, dig? When you're known and feared the WORLD OVER, there's gunna be alot of people who worked for/met you.

We have enough of those people. The thing I don't like is that people want to conect every single thing to Roger's crew when that just can't be. It's corny in the way that everyone wants it to look like Luffy is following in Roger's path, meeting the people he met and doing the same things as him. Roger and his crew were the most renowned pirates in their day, doesn't mean they have connections to everyone, their not the WG.
Gold Roger ate the Hito Hito No Mi!

i don't think roger had a fruit, in buggy's flash back (when he was on roger's ship) everyone didn't want the fruit and though eating it was careless

No he's not the WG, but he was superior to them and lived outside of their laws. My feeling is he gave himself up with the sole purpose of creating this Pirate Age just to rub in the faces of the WG. Why else would someone like Roger, a man who reigned over all pirates both normal and devil powered, and who the alleged strongest man in the world (whitebeard) is the only equal to, be killed by being publicly executed by normal officers?
I don't doubt at all that he could have allies around the world, and if you want to be King of the Pirates, there's no way you won't meet said people

Well, Roger was careless.
And eating the Hito Hito no Mi fits perfectly!

Well it was stated that he had an in-curable desease. That could have contributed to his death, he just wanted to go out with a bang.
But back to what I was talking about is that not every single thing wasn't due to Roger's crew, yeah they were the most famous but there were tons of silver medalists who characters could be linked to. It's just annoying everytime we get a new character a little old they had to have been in Roger's crew.
that would be funny.
Roger: ugk, this tastes horrible!
Rayleigh: no cap't thats the hito hito no mi
Roger: oh….fuck.
Yup. Roger having the Hito Hito No Mi would be very funny.
But the reason I said such an outrageous thing is that Rayleigh said Oda "could hear the voice of all things". And what happens when a human eats the Hito Hito No Mi? He becomes enlightened!
Rayleigh talks about Oda? Ahhh you don't know what that all means. You're are challenging the worlds physics. Don't say such things. That's dangerous. Or is a hole already open between the OP and the real world? aaaah

i think "mantra" from skypia arc is a form of Haki
maybe haki's more diverse than we think
Lately I've been thinking that Luffy will be captured in ID and Shanks will find out. Then he'll have to make the choice of saving Luffy or WB. He'll choose Luffy. WB will then die in his fight with the WG. After Luffy is saved, Shanks and crew will take Luffy to Shabondy, where the others will be waiting and they'll get to meet Shanks. Usopp will get to finally see his dad.

i think one of the first experiences with haki, besides shanks saving luffy
is when zoro beats Mr. 1, when he's on the brink of death he can feel everything breathing\

better get ready for some haki from luffy when he fight mangalligan (sp?)
unless he gets some plastic bags from the kitchen and wears them as gloves
Someone's gonna get launched out of the Gaon Cannon
Oh my goodness, it's Nami!!! But what's she doing at Amazon Lilly and why did neither Luffy or Nami recognize each other?O_o
My theory is that Nami, driven to the point of insanity by the annoying old codger on Weatheria, decided to risk everything and jump off the sky island. Due to the combined effects of luck and Haki, she survived the fall albeit all her clothes were ripped off by wind resistance. She landed on Amazon lilly where she suffered amnesia. The locals, thinking she was one of their own, took her in and made her in as an Amazon. Luffy didn't see or recognize her because he was too preoccupied with avoiding all the women and also Haki. It's so tragic that Luffy so wants to reunite with his nakama yet he unknowingly left one on Amazon Lilly which he might never return to due to that blasted Haki>< Poor, poor Luffy and NamiT_T
I think Usopp will get his 8000 followers on his island.
But they'll all be bugs.
Yeah, Usopp has got along with insects in the past so it makes it a possibility.
Sadi-Chan will become the Pirate Queen,Luffy her husband/sex slave.
Prediction: Magellan and Luffy fight for 2 chapters. Magellan is winning but then Mr.1 gets involved. He and Mr.2 will fight Magellan long enough for Luffy to get something to eat, restore his strength, and win the battle.
Are this thread and the "dumb predictions"-thread now officially one or does it just look like it? :ninja:

I think people sometimes use the same mentalitybut if there is a good theory they wont post it in dumb predicions tread
i don't think luffy could use haki unless provoked or maybe dieing and then realise that if he dies, ace dies <insert childhood="" flashback="">luffy gets angry- haki overload magaligan's poison nutrilises and the warden get beaten into a pulp.</insert>

He could possibly be fighting for any certain type of government, maybe even a utopia. Or maybe he is a man that you don't fully understand, some men aren't looking for anything reasonable, some men just want to watch the world burn.
i thought perhaps dragon new of the void century and realised he was a descendant from the civilisation destroyed by the government 500 years ago, or perhaps he has read the poneglyphs and realised what the governments real goal is. from what clover stated to the gorosei, perhaps he fits the bill…......

no, he should have a braided beard that he use it to light sigs
like the real blackbeard
I'm not normally one to speculate like this, but does anyone else get the feeling that Donquixote Doflamingo is gonna be a huge saga villain in the future, on par with the likes of Crocodile? I'm talking multi-arc antagonist here. Think about it…
-He runs several nefarious businesses
-He believes in ideals that are the antithesis of what One Piece is about
-He has a unique symbol that's perfect for scary/evil imagery (tilt it on its side, make some of the paint run, and voila! Creepy no-smiley!)
-His power seems severely broken
-Oda has gone out of his way to make Doflamingo's bounty the highest in the series to this point. Even new bounties have always been less than his. Even Moria's OMG HIGHER THAN YOURS LUFFY bounty was still kept under Doflamingo's.
-He's the top figurehead of an entire belief system (the "New Age")
-On a smaller note, he has more of a normal human design, and the majority of the Biggest Bads in OP look like normal-ish dudes.
All this seems to be building Doflamingo up to be a huge villain. Possibly a saga villain well down the road (I doubt he'll be the final villain, but I can see the guy being a big antagonist later on in the series' latter half).

another point is that, him and boa seem to be the youngest people in the group, so by the time he reaches someone of crocs, moria, bb age…......then he could be alot stronger, what im trying to say is he deserves respect if he is young, to reach that status/position
another thing is that his ability is long ranged like robins, and has some terrifying potential............turning someone's crew against there captain seems harsh which is why i love it, even bb would find it hard......
I wonder if any of the Shichibukais work togheter. I think that it would be great if DoFlamingo, and maybe some more unexpected… like Mihawk worked togheter with a really evil plan. I guess that the change of that is pretty slim, but it would be cool though. I really want some of the people that the most of us today see as good turn out to be really super evil. Mihawk or maybe Dragon would be perfect.

Sounds really interesting! It would really fit DoFlamingo to pull such a stunt…
Now that you mention it, I can imagine that there is a tie between Hancock and DoFlamingo, because of her past as a slave.
He was the one responsible for the slave trade, wasn't he?
So I wouldn't be suprised if he was the one who sold her to the Nobles.
Would make a great scene when the two of them meet in the war.
Hm, well… he isnt really responsible for the entire slave trade I think. Didnt he just run the slavetrade center at SB Archipelago. I dont know if that's the only place were you can buy slaves, but I doubt. It's probably the World Nobles that are in charge of the slavetrade. And I think that Doflamingo is to young to be the one that sold Hancock.
hmm you're probably right, but I'm still hoping for some Shichibukai interaction!
Since I'm really really sure he's up to sth, the little devil.
for some reason I can't get it out of my head that the one to die in this war will be Kuma. I think he is not really on the government side and maybe might consider a self destruction-mode to end the war perhaps or he has a certain person he wants destroyed or something (maybe assassin for dragon or something). Saying to Luffy they would not meet again I think means he won't be around for much longer. Could be he might get reprogrammed with no recollection of things that happened but I think not. I actually hope Kuma is going to die in the war
Nice theory about DOn. I have always had some feeling this guy would be big. Blackbeard seems to have some pretty high goals too, and in the future I see him becoming more close to the pirate stereotype more than anyone in the series.
Don and Teach seem to get along well too. Not sure if Kuma is somehow behind him too.

While I don't see him dying I definitely see him losing. The reason why I don't see Kuma die is because he's been established as an unfinished weapon. Which means that a good storyteller (like Oda is one) will let him become a completed weapon at some point, which works best if he stays alive.
However the uncompleted part is also why I think he will lose. Some Shichibukai have to be taken out in this fight in order to justify the entire hype about Whitebeard and his crew. And since a good storyteller doesn't want to waste the entire potential with his characters its best to let those guys lose that already stood in the spotlight. And as an unfinished weapon Kuma would fit that discription. Moria is the second candidate for a pwnage. Perhaps even Hancock because I seriously don't see her to be a big obstacle to the likes of Whitebeard. Perhaps for his minor troops but not for his top fighters.
Teach, Mihawk and Do Flamingo however wouldn't make sense to lose. Teach seems to be the final antagonist and Mihawk is Zoro's goal. Those two can't go down. Do Flamingo on the other hand has been hyped for an eternity so it really wouldn't work if that was all for a pwnage against Whitebeard. Kuma, Moria and Hancock make more sense. Jinbei is out of question for obvious reasons.
I see Doflamingo as the first Strawhats' antagonist of the New World, much like Crocodile from the entrance of the GL to Alabasta. Though I think his role will be minor in length to that of the sandman.

well i can agree with that…........my main reasons why is that he seems to be one of the big suppliers of slaves, and don't the tenrybuto reside in the holy land which is on the entrance to the new world, so out of convenience he would have his island/base of operations next to his biggest customers, don't you agree? i could be wrong but shabondy was a sign for me that any islands close to Marie joa could be slave islands/auction areas
shame though, i always wanted doflamingo to be around chapters 700, well actually looking at how the current arc and the likely one following then perhaps this will work out about right............ either way im totally hyped up to see what doflamingo has in-store for us......
Donflamingo seems to be the Leader of the Shichibukai. Hopefully his hype reaches his potential.
Donflamingo seems to be the Leader of the Shichibukai. Hopefully his hype reaches his potential.
i wouldn't say "leader" but he does seem to be the top dog, blackbeard dosn't seem like the type to follow orders.
