Fujimoto's love of movies is the common thread in all his work. Both in the way it is presented and often as a theme in the story. When you see a ton of panels with no dialogue and just characters reacting to events silently; you know that it is a Fujimoto story.

I remember Toei making a joke out of Toriko. Not a studio to be trusted these days and that has been the case for years.

RE: My Hero Academia II - A true Hero
The series just fell in the classic trap of introducing too many characters without actually having a proper plan for most of them. New characters are easy content in the early going as it helps with readers engagement and interest.

They could have indeed developed technology based on quirks like Vegapunk did with devil fruit powers in One Piece. They could have even developed a story angle where some test subjects were exploited/mistreated.

RE: My Hero Academia II - A true Hero
This series made me truly realize how boring someone having all the powers is. It's funny when someone like Cartman in South Park does it as a parody but it's oh so boring when it's done seriously.

@Captain-Krupp That's because Naruto and Bleach were the funny kind of bad like a movie like The Room. This isn't like that.

The time limit and permanent transformation just reminded me of Akame ga Kill!. No doubt it will be permanent before the end of the story.

RE: Sakamoto Days
It's pretty much a Shonen staple that when things get more and more serious, it tends to devolve into standard Shonen fare. It was already a bad sign that Lu was introduced as a character and then got left behind because the author does not seem to have any plans for her. She just seems to exist because it led to the existence of Wutang who is basically the group's informant.

RE: Monster 8
You could already guess what number 9's goal was by the fact that he is some mad scientist testing humanity.
I still don't care about him as a villain and i am bored with characters that have multiples powers through assimilation or some other means.

Denji trying to get laid is like Charlie Brown trying to kick the football.

RE: Jujutsu Kaisen
I haven't cared about what happens for a while now and i liked Choso and i like Todo. Only the Takaba and Kenjaku comedy battle has gotten any response from me.

RE: UNDEAD UNLUCK
Great redemption for Nico here. He is using his ability to the fullest by envisioning a positive future instead of being resigned and defeated like before.

RE: UNDEAD UNLUCK
I like how Nico has the power to do something about Ichico this time instead of being powerless.
He has also been one of the best characters in this loop. I completely understand now why he was barely fleshed out in the previous one.
