Great ending. The main cast are always a treat to see. The Garp side-plot wrapped up nicely, pathing the way for Smoker. Koby's wrap up with Luffy was nice. Always great seeing bounty reactions. A big shout out to the talented crew behind the scenes. They elevated this series. It's a visual feast for the eyes. Here's hoping for a Season 2.

RE: Chapter 1074: Mark III
There's just something I find very wholesome about Zoro and Luffy just hanging out on the couch.

RE: My Hero Academia II - A true Hero
But would it make sense having Eri there? Not sure Aizawa would sign off on that. Anyway, I'm not liking this fight as much as Endeavor VS AFO. AFO is more interesting, but I'll applaud Horikoshi if Bakugo stays dead.
~Vigilantes Talk~
Yeah, the finale happened. It was good but it's a shame Pop and Koichi weren't in the same place. Wouldn't be surprised if we get a bonus chapter or two dedicated to them. And I'm hoping Skycrawler is one of the international heroes who'll come in to help. I just can't see Koichi not coming back to Japan to help in some way. -
RE: 1071: ''Luffy's Peak - Obtained! 'Gear Fifth'''
I really enjoyed it, but I came in with low expectations. One Piece being a year-round anime destroys it's pacing too much for me to watch on a regular basis except through YouTube clips.

RE: Chapter 1057: The End
Unless I missed it, there's no in-universe reason Luffy didn't say goodbye to Momo and Kin. It's just there because Wano needed an emotional ending. And I'm annoyed at Yamato not joining. That's one heck of an 180 after all signs pointed to it happening. Well, at least it's over. Wano's not a bad arc but I think it went on way too long.

RE: My Hero Academia II - A true Hero
I read this chapter right after reading the latest One Piece chapter. Big mistake. But, I'm gonna try to be positive. I liked… the color spread. And Deku not raging out again. I dare anyone to complain about Crawler VS Number 6 in My Hero Vigilantes after reading the last several chapters.

@Captain-M There's some weird stuff on how this arc was done. It's possible, but so weird, if the heroes just fight their way off and escape.
- The Straw Hats did practically nothing so far
- There's a ton of unresolved stuff (the Iron Giant, Seraphim, Mother Flame, York, the Blackbeard ship, who fed Luffy, Robin's wounds...)
- It feels like the villains have been a pretty big letdown. When we stop to think about it, they arrived in 1089, and we stopped 8 chapters for the flashback, so they'd only been a presence for 9 ou of 47 chapters.
I could see the arc ending with a ton of unresolved stuff that will make sense later in the final saga. But, at the same time, it doesn't feel like that's a great resolution. Will we beat Saturn so Bonney and Kuma get justice, or will we just bail?
I seriously can't tell, and this wouldn't be the first nor second time in this arc shifts in unexpected ways. I'm still pissed off for the Labophase off-screen resolution, and then when we returned a lot of people were certain the arc would soon end with the heroes escaping soon after Ch 1089.
I feel we could still have the villains pulling out some serious guns to turn the tide in their favor again. There's enough threats remaining to provide match-ups for each crewmate and then some (9 vice-admirals, 4 Seraphim, York, Kizaru, Saturn, potentially the Blackbeard ship...). I'm not saying we will get that, thought, I'm just pointing out there are still too many elements in this arc to consider it near its end.
You made me realize that maybe I've been thinking about this arc in the wrong way. Before, I thought that all the cutaways to other places was Oda's way of world building before get back to the typical Straw Hat stuff on a new island. But maybe this entire arc is mainly for world building and setup, Egghead included.

RE: My Hero Academia II - A true Hero
Didn't Horikoshi go a couple years without taking a single break? If he takes a break it's for a good reason. The sad part is the Oda schedule has been a thing for years and it seems like Jump has no intention of extending it to other mangaka.

RE: Chapter 1106: On Your Side
I think some fans overestimate how much they influence Oda, especially us non-Japanese fans. Oda's smart enough to not let the inmates run the asylum.

RE: My Hero Academia II - A true Hero
I like the emotional energy in this chapter. There is no easy answer to this dilemma, but Uraraka acknowledges that and still wants to make a connection. Also, Uraraka's quirk awakening was a nice surprise. A big thumbs up to the League of Villains flashback. I can watch them just hanging out all day.

RE: Chapter 1107: I've Been Looking For You!!
I can't wait to see what Team Blackbeard does next. I perk up every time one of them shows up.
I wonder if the Giants know what devil fruit Saturn has?
Thought they'd be a twist to Lucci VS Zoro, but I guess Oda was just saving it for the Monster Trio battles portion of the arc.
Come on, York. You're a Vegapunk. You can't be down for the count yet.
@Logia
Crap like that happening is why I can't go too deep down the One Piece manga rabbit hole on YouTube. -

@Deicide
I can see the World Governemnt being backed into a corner, forcing them to go all in on their super-weapon (Uranus) to keep control. At least, once they solve the Mother Flame issue.@King-Cannon said in Chapter 1107: I've Been Looking For You!!:

What is the BB pirate motive and what do you think about Teach's heritage?
Seems obvious by now that Teach is Rocks' son, starting with his ship being named after Xebec.
I never really thought of that but it makes sense. Maybe that's why Blackbeard's so efficient. He just needs to do what his dad tried while avoiding his mistakes, like relying on a crew of powerhouses who don't get along.

And it can feel weird when he goes full on Popcorn Movie with scenes, but maybe it's his way of injecting some fun back into the series.
I barely can even comprehend what exactly happened in this fight, kuddos to you.
It's simple.
One of the most powerful villains ever is defeated by a half-dead teenage boy who saved lots of money working out his mental issues without the need of professional therapy. Duh!I don't know, P.H. I'm in a weird space with MHA. I'm not happy with the overall direction the series has taken, but there are parts I'm liking. The concept of Bakugo helping to defeat AFO works for me. It may not make sense, but I like it.

RE: My Hero Academia II - A true Hero
Thank goodness Eri didn't somehow end up at the battlefield. Would've made no sense.
This was a good character driven chapter. Special shout-out to Ectoplasm for looking after Eri. Looks like Deku breached the barrier, but does he still have OFA?

RE: My Hero Academia II - A true Hero
I really liked this chapter, especially Nana's reaction to seeing what her son became without her. And, yes. The art was on point.
All that said, I'm nervous if Horikoshi can stick the landing. I wasn't keen on Toga dying nor the black and white message from Spinner's final battle basically saying Don't Fight Your Oppressors (Although, maybe I'm remembering it wrong.). I feel Horikoshi is maybe going too deep into the emotional trauma weeds without the experience to give a satisfying conclusion that isn't a mostly surface level moral without depth.

RE: My Hero Academia II - A true Hero
@Sirxxx I'll admit, reading this chapter for the first time really got me emotional. I love seeing everyone working together and more still cheering them on. This isn't the Deku Show. Everyone is playing their part in taking down AFO.
That's also why I'm hoping Koichi shows up. AFO's agents screwed with his town for a long time with the instant villains and other stuff I don't wanna spoil for anyone who hasn't read My Hero Vigilantes. I want to see Naruhata represented in getting some payback. Not to mention, I really want to know Captain Celebrity's U.S. hero rank along with Koichi if he's on the list.

RE: My Hero Academia II - A true Hero
I read this chapter twice. I feel more at peace with it after reading it again. Looking back at how Deku's classmates helped him reach AFO, then Bakugo's appearance this chapter, I understand this is how Horikoshi wanted to end it.
And I love the bit with it not just being Deku/OFA on the outside, but OFA on the inside (plus Shiggy) putting an end to AFO. There was no one in AFO's corner, not even his own body.
Thinking about it, I also like AFO getting emotional about Yoichi. This is probably the only time we've seen him so raw. It proved Deku was right when he called him just a lonely guy.
That last bit with Shigaraki didn't quite work for me, but I get what Horikoshi was going for, I think. Shiggy's a victim of AFO too, but the guy still mass murdered a LOT of people and helped ruin an entire country so... I'm not losing sleep over him going too.
And now to wait for Koichi's cameo. Yep. It's got to be happening… Any time now…
@King-Cannon
The thought of AFO's hell being forever jumped by the OFA spirits gives me joy.
