Chop Chop fruit has to be activated before you get hit, so there's empty space. Not some kind of weird essence, aka logia.

It's pretty obvious why she didn't move, Zoro has always been the kind of fighter whom you could always sense the threat. She could feel it coming completely unleashed, to her, running from him would have been akin to running from an avalanche.

For all of you saying haki just came out of nowhere, are you people serious?

Alabasta Zoro was already talking in terms of unity of mind and body in purpose, being able to cut nothing or anything based on your will, Sanji has been catching fire for fuck sake. It seems quite clear to me that Haki is a power related strongly to will, the two more common ones are personal empowerment, and enhanced senses, sometimes pre-emptively so.The Conquering King's Haki is taking that one step further, to then influence the will of those around you.

Haki has always been there, an mostly unexplained but still a rare gift. The majority of the crew are going to have to rely on their wits instead of Haki, as I'm sure will most of the people in the New World, devil fruit or no.

What's with all the rage? Seriously. You guys are stupid.

Expecting Kinemon to join the crew is comparable to the low level thinking that brought about suggestions that characters such as Hancock, Pauly, and other required, but not protagonist worthy characters would become nakama.

Recruitment phase is over, we're in the New World now. I'm not saying further recruitment is impossible, but for the crew itself, I'm reasonably sure all slots are filled.

Fishman Island was the final stop of the first half of the Grand Line, thus Jinbe will likely join after an appropriate war arc with Big Mam, but that'll be the end of it.

Stop crying about Usopp. Unless you wanted him to spend the entire series trying to beat opponents with rubber bands and inflatable hammers, he had to develop some close range combat abilities eventually. Similarly a banana boat is far more amusing than him building a raft, which he is more than capable of doing.

Two things I want to remark on.

One: People comparing Jinbe to Vivi are nuts, Vivi was on the ship because of the BW story, then became part of the crew and one of their closest friends. She was welcome to join them after Alabasta, but she chose to stay, Luffy never actually asked her to join, it was just an open invitation that didn't really need to be voiced.

Two: When Luffy is serious about someone joining, it's pretty much inevitable that they will, you're in denial if you think otherwise, that grin pretty much guarantees it.

Finally watched it this afternoon.

Once you adjust to the 3D, this was brilliant! It's just a fun short movie.
