I had just visited my cousin in Texas, where she introduced me to Anime. We watched Fullmetal Alchemist together. I think it was 2004. When I came home, I was bored so I tried to find some Dragonball or Sailor Moon to download. (They were the only anime's I'd ever watched.) I actually ended up finding this little anime called Naruto first. But I didn't really like it, so I didn't get into anime until much later. One day, my sister was watching One Piece on tv while channel surfing, and for some reason I loved it. (Weird, since it was actually the 4kids dub.) But it was one of the Arlong Park episodes, which is still my favorite Arc to this day.

RE: The "What If Oda…" Thread
Chopper would bring him back to life and become the world's greatest doctor.
What if One Piece is revealed to be Friendship. Luffy, you've made it through the grand line, but your treasure was always right next to you! In One Piece! THE END.

RE: Dumb Predictions
Uranus is actually the planet Uranus. And Luffy and Co are going to sail there on the Maxim with Enel. And they find out that Uranus is actually a Death Star.

RE: Shichibukai Discussion Thread
Buggy isn't really that weak. I mean he made it through the Grand Line didn't he? :P His fruit is pretty powerful. It's just that his crew was full of weaklings. Now it's not, though. Of course he's probably not Schichibukai level strong, but he could probably take on most average pirates.

RE: Dumb Predictions
Of course, he implanted one eye of his 3 man team during his flee in the 2 years training period. Too bad the final villain will have the other eye though. :ninja:
Zoro's left eye is going to eat the Mera Mera fruit.

RE: Most Disappointing Thing in One Piece
@Monkey:
Haki is The Force of One Piece. I don't think you're really thinking about it right if you aren't seeing it like that.
There's nothing strange about there being more of it in the more dangerous sea at all.
I just mean that I don't want Haki to steal the spotlight from Devil Fruits and other powers. Half the awe and respect that Logia users get is from their being untouchable by regular people. Haki negates that awing factor, which is fine for the main characters and villains, but I really hope third tier throwaway characters don't all start coming equipped with Haki (I'm looking at you, Boo of the Happou Navy).
Anyway, it would just seem strange to me (and a bit of a plot hole by Oda) if it turns out everyone in the New World uses Haki, yet no one in the first half of the grand line has even heard of it.

RE: Most Disappointing Thing in One Piece
The only thing I can think I'm disappointed in is Haki. The Emperor's Haki is cool and I like that. But I hope Oda keeps Haki users to a minimum. I don't want Haki to turn into "power levels" and whoever has more Haki wins a fight. It's far more interesting when battles are about exploiting the weaknesses of the opponent. To be fair, we haven't seen a real battle between Haki users yet, so maybe it's not even going to be a thing. I'm just wary of it.
I also hope Haki is still fairly rare in the New World. Haki was pretty much unheard of the entire first half of the Grand Line, and it would be really jarring if Haki were ubiquitous just past the Red Line.

It's gotta be Law. What a handsome fellow. Also the best hat in One Piece!
