Ahahahah! I love Franky yelling at Chopper for looking at him with a "wonder what'll happen if I give him OTHER drinks?" expression.
I wouldn't be too surprised if Fukurou is down and out from this - he was the second weakest CP9 if memory serves (probably weakest, now that Califa is a nouryokusha).

RE: Viz Manga censoring?
That's weird. The Japanese version I have has the same art as the English version - but it's a 1997 printing, so it must have been censored in Japan at some point. (Maybe with an eye on international releases?) So the Viz version is accurately reproducing already-altered artwork, apparently.
And in my English volume one, on page 39 Senbe is jumping to cover up Arale's word balloon, which says "my re–". It's good news if they changed that in subsequent printings, because it made no sense to the story. -
RE: Viz Manga censoring?
I have the Japanese Dr. Slump manga and as far as I can tell, there was no change to those cannibal guys - they have pale skin and pointy ears in the original version too.
There was at least one odd dialogue change to Slump though - in the "…is missing" chapter, they have Arale start to say 'rear' when describing what she doesn't have, when in the original, Senbe assumed she was taking about genitals. Having her specifically say 'rear' makes no sense at all, since we later find out she was talking about her bellybutton.
Volume 1's all I have in English, so I can't speak for changes to the later ones.Regarding other Viz manga, I noticed they changed some of Chizuru's more explicit statements in volume 5 of Bleach (which bugged me as I'm a big Chizuru fan, see left), but at least judging by volume 2 they aren't trying to cover up her orientation.

RE: If 4kids owned the World
If 4kids owned the world, there'd be a lot less cancer, but a lot more cavities.
If 4kids owned the world, the only character on Drawn Together would be Ling Ling… and he'd be played by Pikachu.
If 4kids owned the world, there would be nothing to do but let out an anguished, Shatneresque scream of rage: "Kahn! Kaaaahn!KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHN!!!"

RE: Chapter 402 "2nd Handcuff" Discussion
It's been probably been said enough already, I guess, but WHOA HOT DAMN on Califa. I'm dying to find out what her Devil Fruit is - I'm hoping for Paramecia since we've seen tons of Zoan lately (not that they aren't friggin' awesome), and Paramecia are usually the weirdest and coolest powers.
Also, I'm thinking Nami should fight back against Kumadori's hair techniques by using static electricity to give herself AFRO POWER, then we'd have an even match. -
RE: Daaaaaaduhm Daaaaaaaaaaaduhm
Hooray! I love these! And it's been a while since I visited, so I have the Don Krieg one to read too.

RE: Untitled
Translation-wise, the worst is when they flip the artwork and DON'T change the sound effects, because then you're looking at SFX written backwards for the whole book. I'm seen some Tokyo Pop stuff that does that.

RE: Untitled
I think the reason for the numbers, in the early chapters, was that "Number 1" and "Number 4" marked when Zoro and Sanji joined the crew… so when we saw Nami's "Number 2", it meant she had joined the crew for real, even though number 2, in this case, came after the other numbers.
I can see why he'd wait with Robin, but I don't see any reason for Usopp and Chopper to be not 'really' part of the crew. Chopper's always been loyal, and Usopp left because of a disagreement - he'd been a true crewmember up to that point. So I think Oda's just not doing those anymore.
(Personally, I think the point Nico Robin 'really' joined the crew, when she saw the Strawhats as family rather than as someone convenient to travel with, was when she was lying awake after the fight with Aokiji. But saying it then would have completely screwed up the uncertainly of the coming chapters.) -
RE: Untitled
It's a sculpture, but it's freaked out a lot of people because it's so real-looking. I first came across it somewhere that was debunking its reality (snopes.com, probably).
