I've been trying to post this since Thursday and it shocks me that no one has beaten me to the punch
@AnimeNewsNetwork:
The anime has cast Saori Hayami as Blizzard of Hell (Jigoku no Fubuki), and Mamoru Miyano as Sweet Mask (Amai Mask). In addition, the magazine notes that JAM Project is performing the anime's opening theme, and Hiroko Moriguchi is performing the ending theme. The opening theme's CD single is slated for an October 21 release, and the ending theme's CD single is slated for a November 18 release.
The casting of Fubuki must mean that we're either getting the side chapters animated, or we're going beyond the Boros arc and right in front of Garou. Exciting stuff.
Just finished a video for Anime Conji's Animation Exhibition. The Catch? It's not anime.
It's a french cartoon called Dofus and I suggest you all give it a shot.
We just got another update today, with the next one slated for april 2nd. Murata is seriously on fire now. The wonders of what an anime announcement can do to a man, I guess.
Who did this one? This is pretty neat.
Paul Robertson. Aka the sprite guy who worked on the Scott Pilgrim vs. World game. I love this guy to death.
ONE just finished a new chapter! Still waiting on a scanlation, but it looks like Sweet Mask and Metal Knight just caught a case of Saitama fever. Things should really start picking up now.
New chapter is out.
Those of you who were worried about Genos getting an onscreen victory can breathe easy; it ain't over yet.
Also holy geez, Murata is still planning a chapter for the 9th. The man is on fire.
Woo hoo! They got fully funded!
I'm still crossing my fingers that we meet the fully orchestrated soundtrack stretchgoal, everything after that is fine. But that orchestra will be a major plus.
Basically, some old school Disney animation veterans are trying to create a series of short animated features that may lead to a series or even a film if their crowdfunding is successful. I for one think the world could always use more quality 2D animation, and despite knowing very little about steampunk, the setting looks really interesting so far.

Apologies for the sudden influx of posts, just felt that after almost 2 years of inactivity I should drop by and stretch my arms a bit.
Last one, then back to my cave.

How . . . . . did Crayon Shin-chan end up in there?
From a story perspective? Probably just some field trip gone horribly wrong.
For reals though, the artist apparently just loves both shows, and has done a buttload of similar pieces, some of which I will share with you…...now.

Gotta tell you all: this has me jonesing for a full 1940's S.H.I.E.L.D. movie something fierce. It's also shot my hype for The Winter Soldier through the roof.
EDIT: Apparently the link is down, but typing it into dailymotion's search should yield results. And just in case THOSE go down, then good luck, because anything else I post will probably go down as well.
But seriously, seek it out. It is SO worth it.
Getting more broke and more tired as the day goes on, trying to get ready for my annual pilgrimage to Anime Expo tomorrow.
If anyone else is going, come on down to the AMV Creators panel, which I will be a part of. Also the AMV contest, despite me not making the finals AGAIN, will be featuring one of my videos in the preshow.
You all thought I was out of the game? Think again!
By the way, I'll be part of the AMV Creator's panel at Anime Expo 2013 this year, so come on by and watch me make a public spectacle of myself.
"Pillar Man, Pillar Man"
Part of the Preshow at AX
"39 Degrees Fahrenheit"
Going to be shown during the panel, won Fan Favorite at A-KON
So we may, or may not, have a sequel on our hands. But if this is legit…
Holy shit.
EDIT: fixed link hopefully, but just to get it out there:
Latest TF2 update added an odd selection of items whose models all have the prefix "pn2_" and include the Longfall Boots from Portal 2, Sam's hat from Sam and Max, Handsome Jack's mask from Borderlands 2, Evil Ash's crown from Evil Dead and the "Sampson Skewer", Brock's Knife from the VENTURE BROTHERS.
I will gladly pay for a poker game where I play against Stephen Merchant, Bruce Campbell, and Patrick Warburton.
@Siliconera:
Early magazine leaks revealed Project Versus J will be for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. The first time we saw Project Versus J there was a teaser image of Luffy from One Piece, Goku from Dragon Ball Z, and Toriko from Toriko.
*The roster isn’t limited to those three characters. Fans will be able to vote on which Jump heroes they want to see in Project Versus J. Shonen Jump magazine also runs other popular series like Naruto, Hunter x Hunter, Gintama, Bleach, and (a long time ago!) Dr. Slump.
*Bandai Namco Games is developing Project Versus J and so far the title has only been announced for Japan.
Huzzah!

I mean, just look at what the prizes announced so far are! And we've still got 7 unannounced!
To clarify, they're trying to "bring it back" as in re-air it on middle of the night, one night a week Toonami.
Preeeeeeeeetty sure that we're going for new episodes with this. You don't entertain ideas for a kickstarter just for once-a-week reruns.
S'matter of fact, he's going to be at the Long Beach Comic Con tomorrow. Someone go down and grill him for info.

There's some big rumblings around twitter right now as the same people who brought us Banjo-Tooie are planning to bring us some of that old Rare magic
https://twitter.com/MingyJongo
@MingyJongo:
So, what is this twitter thing all about? Right. Firstly, it is to test the waters really, about whether anyone would even think making a game that shares that same kind of humour, silly characters, fun game play, great tunes and all that stuff that we enjoy making.
I think a few of the old team would love to have another go - it's paying for it which we need to work out #spreadtheword
Grank Kirkhope and @Klungo (the guy who designed the levels for Tooie) have already confirmed via their twitter accounts that this is real and they are on board. This is still in a phase where word needs spreading, but I personally would love a project like this to get off the ground. So tell your friends!
Now we may begin speculation/discussion/general giddyness.

As a recent boarder of the Gravity Falls boat and as someone who watched the latest episode, I've got to say how much I love this show. Especially since they got Paul Robertson on board (The guy who made the Scott Pilgrim vs the World sprites). Tell me no one else noticed the style similarities.

Loved the PS version, can't wait to see if the XBLA version holds up.
@Richard Walker at XboxAchievements:
Despite being effectively complete and ready to launch in Japan on July 5th, SEGA's re-shuffling of its western releases in light of poor financial results has seemingly had an adverse effect on the US and European release of Anarchy Reigns, which is now slated for a western launch in 2013.
"The release of Anarchy Reigns has been re-evaluated. We now expect to launch in Europe and America in Q1 of 2013," SEGA declared on Twitter in response to queries regarding the game's release in western territories following a few months of uncertainty.
SEGA had announced that Anarchy Reigns will be delayed in the west last month, but we're not sure anyone could have guessed that it would be delayed into the first quarter of 2013. Anarchy Reigns was also a no-show for SEGA at E3 earlier this month. Boo.
@Lee Bradley at XboxAchievements:
Platinum Games’ Atsushi Inaba has taken to Twitter to voice his frustration at Anarchy Reigns’ delay in the West.
Last night SEGA announced that the multiplayer brawler will now ship in Europe and North America at some point in early 2013.
Inaba is not particularly happy about the announcement, however. He revealed that the delay is not due to extra development time being needed on the game, adding that SEGA’s announcement last night was the first he had heard of it.“First of all, we are done with all international versions of Anarchy Reigns,” tweeted Inaba. “The delay is not due to further development on the game. Also, even though the release dates will be different, the content of both the Japanese and Western versions will be 100% the same.”
Perhaps most worryingly, Inaba went on to say, "Today's Q1 2013 release was the first we'd heard of it. Even if we wanted to, we can't comment as we're (still) in the dark officially."
The producer went on to confirm that the Japanese release of the game on July 5 remains unaffected, before apologising to fans.
“I want to sincerely apologize to all the fans worldwide for all the confusion this situation has caused. Even though we are the game’s developers, we can only do so much about this.”
He concluded by saying, “However, we hope you can continue to support Anarchy Reigns and look forward to playing it with us in the future. Thank you.”
What in God's green earth is going on at Sega, man?
Episodes are leaking like crazy, last time I checked we were up to 14 "Behold…the Vision".

Good news/ Bad news
Bad News is that Drake Bell still voices Spidey (with Josh Keaton apparently having initially recorded voice for the role, but was redubbed). Good news is JK Simmons as JJ! WOO!

@Jackson Publik:
Things are moving briskly over here at Venture Central/AstroBase/Titmouse. The first episode just shipped to Korea. But you’re wrong about one thing–it doesn’t take nine months to animate overseas. Nine months is more like the time it takes to complete an episode from initial design to final edit, so it includes pre-production. Actually, it’s more like ten months, since we began design on the first episode the first week of the new year, and we’ll be delivering it to the network in early October. According to our schedule–and assuming we keep to it–all ten episodes will be completed and delivered by the end of January. Which is roughly when we’re supposed to premiere the fifth season.
