@Daz:
The truly weird thing is how and why the frog-Carrot got created, and how they got mixed up. Overall I appreciate Chopper and Carrot getting something to do, but this whole scenario was set up extremely clunkily, and the whole thing is hurt by how completely fragmented this whole plotline has been. Like, BrĂ¼lee has appeared so little since getting electrocuted that seeing her getting electrocuted again doesn't leave much impact. Also, I guess Randolph is out now. Bye Randolph!
Its not that it isn't entertaining to see Chopper throw a giant crocodile man, or see Carrot tackle train-guy, but everything just needed more buildup.
Yeah, I'm not really sold on that part either. We know for sure that it was Brulee who created it since it's been shown previously in the forest.. How can she not tell her own creations apart from the real deal if it's her ability that created it?
I would have preferred Chopper just going brain point to monster and then recovering her instead tbh. I hope we get some kind of explanation as to how and why her own creation could deceive her.. Maybe that's just the flaw of her ability?
Chopper slamming that gator was pretty satisfying, imo. Even without the much needed build up.
I really wish Oda would stop the rushed battles though. Fast pace arcs can be great and he's shown he can do them well in the past… It really seems like he's rushing things a bit too much for whatever reason..
Still a great chapter. Just wish he'd slow things down a bit, we're dealing with one of the Emporers here...
