Guys, after much study and deliberation, I have discovered the true origin of the fall object. It is without a doubt, the Ink-Ink man!

RE: Chapter 803: Climbing the elephant
Zomg, more Dragon time! And it looks like BB vs Dragon is shaping up!!!! WTH. Gona be pissed if Dragon is a pushover after all this time.

RE: Chapter 801: Opening Declaration
That brings to question, has he done something at Zou to warrant it? Does he have some information? I really hope it isn't the boring old "he's royalty" troupe. I get tired of that in all mediums of entertainment
Remember that he single handily did enough damage to a Pacifa to disable it after the time skip. A pretty good indication of his power increase. So despite not doing anything on Dress, the Marines know hes a lot stronger.

RE: Chapter 772: Cabbage & Romeo
Am I the only one disturbed by Dellinger? Like I know he is supposed to be a human-fish man hybrid. But the way his character reads/talks is much less fish man and more fish. What I am saying is I feel like someone went out and got busy with one of the fighting fish. Not the fish men.

RE: Chapter 770: Elbaf's Spear
Anyway Ton Ton Fruit is basically the Kilo Kilo fruit. Only instead of changing his own weight, he can change the weight of objects. The weapon on his back is the only thing we've seen him manipulate though
I agree, and I always thought it was a bit of a cheat on Oda's part. He has publicly said there would not be devil fruits with the exact same powers…and he has used the Ton Ton exactly the same as he used the Kilo Kilo. Maybe technically they are different, but essentially they are exactly the same.

RE: Chapter 770: Elbaf's Spear
Sigh. Oda, why you not show us Luffy vs Flamingo???? At this rate, Flamingo is gonna die of old age before Luffy gets to him.

RE: Notions That Don't Deserve Their Own Threads
Luffy's hat.
As a semi-farmer. (I raised goats and chickens) do you know how quickly straw goes bad? Get it wet, and poof, insta-mold! It is terrible.
Luffy would have to replace his hat like every week. No wonder the straw hats are always broke.

RE: Chapter 767: Cora-san
Then why didn't he contact Law for the last decade or so?
Also, Flashback character don't get plot-shield that would help them when it comes to dying.
For the same reason that Sabo never contacted Ace or Luffy…the plot required his survival to be a surprise.
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
Generally when we see characters die in flashbacks, they stay dead.
Not always. Look at Sabo. There is another example, but i can't think of it right now.

RE: Chapter 767: Cora-san
Okay, so I know most will disagree with me, but I totally think Corazon is still alive.
Look at all the other characters that have survived impossible situations, believed to be dead, then showed up again. Heck, people still argue that Monet is alive, and she got stabbed through the heart!
In One Piece, if there is not a grave with a body in it, then the character is still alive. Sometimes not even then. (Zombies)

RE: The Seventh Warlord
I think it could be Donquixote Rosinante, aka Corazon. Got no evidence, except that Oda is so fond of bringing back people from supposed death. And it would be cool as hell.

RE: The Seventh Warlord
@S.C.:
I can not remember the exact chapter number, but there was a scene where Burgress was talking to Blackbeard via Den-De Mushi, asking him if they could trust Kuzan.
The exact relationship is not yet known, but it does seem to be some sort of partnership of a kind.
It is chapter 720. The translation I read goes: "But you see, I can't trust Aokiji." And it appears that Blackbeard is the speaker. Now I've said this before, meaning gets lost in the translation. But to me, thats pretty far from a partnership.
-
RE: The Seventh Warlord
Don't see Aokiji returning back to being WG dog after claiming he never thought much of it. Doubt anyone would trust him after he left marines and after joining Blackbeard (probably).
Where the heck did you get the idea that Aokiji would join Blackbeard? There is just no way. Look at his behavior throughout the manga. He treats Robin with respect and honor, even when he thinks she needs to die. He does not kill Luffy even after winning, and honors his "man to man" fight. He stops the buster call from going after the Strawhats after they win at Enies Lobby. Everyone, EVERYONE calls him a man of honor and justice. There is no way that Aokiji would sudden leave all that behind and join Blackbeard, the man who is supposed to be "pure evil". And if he had, Smoker would never be friends with him still and say that he respects him.
It is far more likely that Aokiji is working on his own, or has joined the Revolution (My opinion.) But never Blackbeard.

RE: Create Your Own Devil Fruit
The Pull Pull fruit. Can pull any object towards the center of your palm. However, gravity&mass apply. So if you pull on something big, say an island, you would go flying towards it. Small enough, and the target comes flying towards you. Can be used to move a smallish ship, if you brace yourself and pull.
But the real, and terrible portion of this fruit, you can pull memories out of other people's heads. But only memories of you. Essentially making yourself vanish from existence. I suppose if you got good enough, you could kind of make yourself "invisible" because you pull the memories out as they are made, making the person forget you even as they see you.

RE: Official thread of Swords
About the swords, my cousins convinced me that Zoro was indeed cursed by Kitetsu. It is just that instead of becoming dead the sword gave him terrible direction ability. When you go through East Blue, Zoro could tell directions correctly, and run off in the correct direction. After Loguetown, in Little garden and Drum, he admitted to others that he got turned around and lost, and you get to Skypea where he losses all ability to even sense that he is lost
This is one of the best One Piece theories I have seen in a long time! I would totally buy this explanation, because I had noticed the same thing. Although the truth is that Oda probably just wanted to make a running gag out of Zoro.

RE: Hints on Blackbeard power
Also, there are multiple possible explanations for the 3 theme of BB's that don't have anything to do with him being three people. (A really far out there senario in my mind.)
1.) He could be the "Third". We know that D's are passed in families. There may be something spectacular about BB's family that Oda is saving for later, just like Garp, Dragon and Luffy.
2.) The "Three spirits of time" Like A Christmas Charol. Past, Present and future. Roger was the past King. BB is kind of the present King. Luffy is the future King. That type of symbology.
The truth is, Oda loves symboligy. So much that he throws a lot into One Piece, and some (a lot) of it winds up being reduntant or pointless. 3 may just be a number Oda associates with BB in his own mind for some reason. The truth will come out when he finally reveals it, and most likely all of our theories will be way off. Including my "Devil Fruits are related to blood." theory. Although to answer someone's point earlier, Oda does seem kinda obsessed with blood. It shows up an awful lot for OP being a "kids" manga.

RE: Hints on Blackbeard power
As interesting as it sounds I think the iron theory would be too complicated to explain Blackbeard's character, though you could be onto something about DFs in general. Oda is usually pretty straight with explanations and I believe that the hints are pointing more at Blackbeard having a 'multi-body' thing going on than anything else.
My theory is that BB is multiple people in one and essentially has multiple personalities, whether that is due to him consuming a Devil Fruit or something else.
His initial character must have been overtaken the other, and that is why Whitebeard states that he does not carry the will of D, because he his body has been seized by someone else thus his bloodline has been tarnished.
This also neatly ties up how Shanks references BB was a much different person in his past.Which has also got me thinking, has there been any characters that have consumed a devil fruit before they have given birth? Is this something that has been introduced already? Surely it must have some side effects on the children!
Well, the iron theory was actually a "blood" theory originally. I have always thought that DFs modified a person's blood and that gave them powers. I thought that perhaps BB had just taken WB blood into himself. But that did not explain how objects without blood could eat fruit, and then I noticed what I thought was the "Iron" connection. Obviously that was wrong. But DFs and blood could still be the key.

RE: Hints on Blackbeard power
Smiley was a cloud of poisonous gas and ate a devil fruit.
Blackbeard has something about his body that Marco was sure that allowed him to eat 2 devil fruits, so that's where all the speculation about Blackbeard's body come from. I say he's got some duplicated organs, which make him count as more than one person for devil fruit's purposes. Something that any doctor in Whitebeard's crew would have found, so it was common knowledge.
Damn, forgot that Smiley was a DF user. Although I think he was feed it after he was condensed? Either way, I dunno.
About the Marco "quote". That saying has been translated too separate ways, depending on the translation (And I have looked at several.) Sometime it is a "HAS" as in past tense, so that yes, Marco knows what it is. But some times I have seen it as "MUST HAVE" meaning a question tense. So Marco was just speculating. I don't speak/read Japanese, so I can not say for certain which. Just that may be a miss translation leading to speculation. Maybe someone better connected to the culture knows better?

RE: Hints on Blackbeard power
I wonder why there is so much focus on the possibility that Blackbeard has multi-body-whatever?
To me, the answer has always been more along the line "bloodline elements" clue talked about in the Punk Hazard arc. There, when talking about a artificial devil fruit, it is revealed that Vegapunk already knows what devil fruits are. (Also said in other places) But to me, the real answer lies in "bloodline".
What is in blood? Iron. I believe that a devil fruit modifies a person's blood, granting them powers. Obviously, i have about as much proof as the "three body Blackbeard" theory.
Here is what I do have:
Every weapon that we see having eaten a fruit is iron. Gundog, Elephant sword. Like the iron in people's blood.
Iron sinks. (dumb, but an "iron man" would never be able to swim.
Fruit and metal are both symbols of the "earth" element. Naturally, they are enemies of "water" element.
Pretty sketchy, and it does not explain how devil fruits are fruits in the first place.
But it would allow Blackbeard to take WB's power. Somehow he took what controlled the power, what controlled the blood, into his own body. Aka, he took WB heart. (ew) By doing so he skipped the digestion phase of absorbing a new devil fruit, where the issue usually lies with getting two powers. Fruit =>digested=>blood=>power. but if the power is already in the blood, error, does not compute, you die. But Blackbeard went heart+heart=>super power. Like i said, it is a stretch, but when isnt a fan theory. -
RE: Next Bounty Predictions (Dressrosa Arc)
Hey guys, after reading this thread, I feel that a great many details have been forgotten.
1.) The last bounty update was Water 7. 4ish Arcs ago. Which means the Straw Hats never recieved their bounty raises from the Tenryubito incident. Which the whole crew would have had the WG not thought them annihilated. This will factor into their bounties.
2.) Two separate marines have commented on how much stronger the Straw Hats all are, meaning the Marines should be aware of how dangerous they are. (Sentomaru and Tashigi) The marines viewed the group as so dangerous that when the fakes were recruiting, they mobilized LITERALLY EVERY AVAILABLE RESOURCE to bring them down.
A lot of people ask why Sanji deserves an update. Remember that he delivered enough damage to a Pacifa after the time skip to disable it on his own. I kind of feel like Pacifa are the "300 million" line. Everyone around that number we see struggle against one. Higher tend to destroy the Pacifa in one shot. So right there the marines have evidence that Sanji is powerful enough to warrant a massive bounty jump. And now he is facing off against a member of the Big Mum crew with a 300 mill+ bount: Pekoms. Depending on how that fight goes, if it goes, will be another example.
I feel that I could go on and on about the various points indicating how each member needs a ridiculous upgrade to their bounty. Instead I will say this: Oda gets tired of his gags. Taking a joke too far means its not funny anymore and he knows this. So we really could see him drop the current bounty jokes for others.
Having said my piece, here are my predictions:
Luffy:450 mill (He is already comparable to the other worst generation we have seen since time skip. They all have 400+)
Zoro:300 mill+ (Capable of single handed defeating a Pacifa.)
Sanji:300 mill+ (Capable of single handed defeating a Pacifa.)
Usopp:100 mill (God Usopp gag)
Nami:50 millish? (no real reason to go super high)
Chopper: 15 millish (Or 100 belli if I am wrong and Oda does continue the gag "doubling" his)
Robin:120 millish (no real reason to go super high)
Franky:80 millish (no real reason to go super high)
Brooks: 70 millish (no real reason to go super high)Finally, what if we are all wrong and Oda decides to go to the other end of the spectrum with his jokes? Can you imagine the reaction of the crew, espcially the weak ones, if the marines put a "blanket bounty" of something super high on the crew? Like 1 billion for any Straw Hat? I think Chopper, Nami and Usopp would all die of fright. Do I think he will do this? No. But would it make a GREAT gag joke? Absolutely.
Edit: Quote from desa.
"Luffy: Only two supernovas has bounty over the 400M. But since Luffy is already there 50M increase is a fair bet.
Zoro & Sanji: By merely being under those bounties become unlikely. Just look at Killer."The pacifas have not lost power, due to age. They simply have not gotten any stronger, not being truely alive. Killer never defeated one on his own. I'm not saying for certain their bounties will go that high. Im just saying they are due for a huge increase. Also, Law, Kidd and Luffy are all over 400 mill, thats three supernovas. I thought Basil was too, but I was wrong.
I guess my biggest deal is not understanding why people are arguing to keep bounties so low, when the whole point of the New World is how tough it is. Everyone's bounty we have seen so far is rediclous compaired to the first half.
Also, my spell check quit half way through this, so plz dont hurt me on spelling.
