RE: Inu Yasha Discussion…ugh
@Thousand:
From what I skimmed your mass wall of posting text, you're saying it's not their fault? Bull, Inuyasha was highly successful, they went out of their way to bring it back, they chose to allocate this number of episodes for whatever reason. Who's ever fault it is, I don't like it.
Also don't give me that elitist crap, I'm not asking for panel to panel stuff, that would be a godly adaptation. I'm asking for a good adaptation where, for one thing, they don't cut out half the crap nor do they blast through the rest of the material.
And for Christ's sake, learn how to structure posts.
I agree. I also HATE it when they completely reinvented a scene from the manga which was more epic in the manga but turns out mediocre in the anime.
! The reinvented the entire part of how the shikon shards were stolen from Kagome…it was much better in the manga

I don't care, I want faithful anime adaptions with EVERYTHING covered. That's why the Full Metal Alchemist anime is so goddamn awful with them cutting out everything that made the series unique and original. If they're not going to do everything in the manga, they might as well have not brought this series back at all. And to think I was looking forward to this-_-
The way I look at it, there is still hope. The next episode is titled "Kagura no Kaze" and I don't think they'd be devoting an entire episode to Kagura if they weren't intending on slowing down the pace because the entire 'Kagura situation' comes and goes fairly quickly within a couple of chapters in the manga. To cover more than that, they'd have named the episode something else because the situation develops pretty fast and the 'Kagura situation' just becomes a drop in the bucket.

ugh…inuyasha...it was good until i discovered that anime could be so much better...than it was OK until they were in like the 29th season 18 movies later and still hadn't caught naraku yet...if they follow the manga there are some interesting plots pieces that involve sesshomaru that might make this worth watching...
To be fair, I found that anime could be MUCH worse when I discovered Naruto and Bleach, which drag out the story to excruciating lengths. It was because of this stigmatisation of long animes that I got into One Piece so late into the series (only two months ago!).
Inuyasha only lasted 167 episodes and had 4 movies in total (the 4th releasing months after the 167th episode aired).

@Kairouseki:
Watch them put filler in anyway .
Apparently, they're going to cram the next 20 or so volumes into 26 episodes. The entire first anime series was about 30 or so volumes and that took 167 episodes. And only 20% of those episodes were pure filler.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=WQPLYH5ZThis is the entire first episode. I think it's the Viz version but not really sure (I'm not able to watch that since I'm in Canada). It's very good!
I stopped reading the manga at where the first series ended but from what I've been reading, some people say that this anime covered between 5-15 chapters in one! I'm going to go back and continue reading to confirm exactly how many were covered.

A better, slower version plays in "To the Grand Line":Direct link:
God that is epic… wish there was a dedicated OST to the part between :49 to 1:49.

RE: The One Piece Music Thread
You didn't specify very clearly so if I'm wrong forgive me… (there's more than one orchestral song in that episode.)
But is it
?I'm afraid not. The one I'm talking about comes during the montage sequence at the very end of episode 143. It's a very common BGM that has appeared in countless other episodes but I can only recall episode 143 right now (since it is the most recent one I watched that had that BGM).

RE: The One Piece Music Thread
I don't know if someone has already asked this before but does anyone know what that orchestral score is called that is a very common BGM (such as at the end of the Rainbow Mist arc, episode 143)?
