I think many are familiar with the color spread in chapter 693 showing us the characters that may just be the "main characters" for arcs to come. Kuzan showing up only 5 chapters after it strengthens that theory. However it's very much possible that the one that is one the upper left side of the picture may be Kaido. I wrote about this in a "Have we seen Kaido already?" blog and played around with the picture copying it and flipping it around to make it a bit clearer and I'd say that based on that I would maybe lean on saying that Kaido in my opinion may have the Lion type Zoan. However I apologize if someone had already posted a picture like that.

RE: Things That You Would Like to See in the Manga
Zoro vs Mihawk. The battle to determine the best swordsman.
Somehow for me that doesn't seem important at all anymore. Remember this scene where Mihawk says that Zoro has found greater ambition than his own? This implies very strongly that Zoro may want to become the best swordsman in the world, but he will want Luffy to become the pirate king first and foremost. This was a small scene with such a strong message in my opinion, I'll always remember it.
Of course we may see the fight that you are hoping for, but I wouldn't be surprised if we never actually see it happen.

RE: Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread v.2
Well basically: Pirates = thieves and/or killers.
If they called themselves "adventurers" or something, they wouldn't be shunned. Not saying the WG isn't corrupt but it doesn't change the fact that pirates are pirates. You are obviously right, but it isn't an accident from Oda to make a group of pirates the "good guys" in this manga, which could easily be interpreted in real world that you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover.

RE: Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread v.2
@Foxy:
Has anyone else noticed…that the last two story arcs have had a plot point revolving around the use of drugs?
On Fishman Island, the New Fishman Pirates used the Energy Steroids, and on Punk Hazard, Caesar Clown fed the children stimulant drugs to turn them into Giants.
Does anyone else find this strange? Will we see this in future story arcs or is Oda sending a subliminal message?
Yeah in my opinion it's pretty obvious that in One Piece there is subtle "society criticism", in example how World government is corrupt and how pirates are considered as bad guys always, even when they are doing good things ie. Mugiwaras. It's a prime example from the real world where people are not considered as individuals but often considered as groups which already have some kind of judgement shined upon them based on prejudices. The latest chapter was a good example where the marines were shouting some serious propaganda considering the strawhats just because they are pirates, not because what they did. Funny thing is that the reader can instantly see, that it's the marines who have been brainwashed to seriously believe those things which they are now trying to spread around.
So in my perspective One Piece shows us a point of view where it really looks like that the world government is only doing corrupt things etc. when in reality when watching all that from a view of normal citizen the pirates are the bad guys and WG is the good one.
Maybe this is Oda's way of saying not to give too much power for government so that possible totalitarism would stay at hold? Dunno.
Also the secrecy of world government considering the lost century is also an excellent example of trying to hide things; even in our country there's a list of people who are in high political position but it's hidden for decades because it contains classified information (connections) regarding to those persons from a time when CCCP was still up and running.

RE: The Great New World Discussion Thread
I wonder what it means to speak about "new species" I believe that you could exclude any kinds of animals, which in my opinion can't be considered as important as hyping it up couple weeks beforehand. Some kind of Animal species wouldn't necessarily work well with hype, since everything is already possible. One of the possibilities that I would like to see that "the new species" actually refers is a new type of devil's fruit; that would be awesome ;O.
"Someone dangerous" could be easily interpreted as Kaido (or even Doflamingo), but it's Oda so things are never that black and white.. Most probable scenario is that it's someone new.

RE: Chapter 695: Leave it up to me!
What a great chapter once again. Couple of things: the new abilities of some of the characters were very cool and what I found a great moment was how Luffy said so confidently to trust his crewmembers taking care of escaping villains. Other thing was "Donquixote Family", which sounds so interesting that I would like to know more.
The last thing is of course the cliffhanger of the shadow on the ocean. Aokiji is the most obvious choice, but Oda has a way of surprising us when the answer seems too obvious. It looks a bit too much Aokiji on a bird, characteristics also hit spot on.

RE: Chapter 694: A Very Dangerous Man
What an amazing chapter. I was (like almost every week) a bit disappointed after reading Naruto and Bleach, but One piece always delivers. Oda is such an amazing storyteller.
