Why does Law seem very shocked when Luffy mentions the samurai?
probably because Law sectioned the samurai.

…though i was not working on it continuously.
it does have a few rough spots, but if i keep polishing it will never get finished.
i saw the frame in mid 2006. it is from number 416, page 9.
i think the new theme colors reminded me of it.
it took me twelve major attempts to get it to this point.
i cleaned the lo-res raw and did all of the coloring/effects.
the hardest part was retouching the stippling where the effects are and having it look close to being done by hand.
there is quite a bit of detail that is not visible in the preview image.
the link to the hi-res version gets you a 6 MB image, 10x7.4 inches @ 300 dpi.(hi-res link below the preview image.)
large enough to print out at a very large size if you wanted. poster size maybe. : )
please free to share or print out as you choose.
i put the raw frame below the colored version to show what the beginning state was.
here is the hi-res link:

the past weeks simulcasts all worked for me, but today i was getting the red error text after the ad ran.
i just tried again and it is working for me now.
a large play arrow and the toei logo appeared and off i go…
I put together the 3.5 seconds of Rayleigh blocking Kizaru's kick as a contact sheet.
At 24 frames/sec this makes 84 frames. Each row is 1/4 of a second.
This stands out to me as one of the most detailed and fluid bits of animation in the series.
From the perspective of Zoro about to be crushed under foot, to the spins and twirls of Rayeigh, wow.
blammo. many folks had to care a bunch to do this so right.
hd raw has shown at nyaa.
the avi is 896 MB, very large file.

i just watched it. better animation than an flv file, but not exceptional.
many compression artifacts.
there really is no question on how much you guys Rock the place.
VP is in the house.
thanks again and again.

watching the steady bits of the translation appear is wonderful.
it gives me info to better appreciate the work and time of the translator.
thank you so much!
obviously Brooke is a lock now.
as it was meant to be.
and of course you can have folks with overlapping skill sets on a team.
Luffy kicks things, is he steppin on Sanji's toes?
you can obviously draw.
it is really nice.
if you post more images i would hope to see drawings with a better range of tone. more contast and highlights, not all midrange.
i think your work would be better with darker pencils. or charcoal. and of course good erasers for that rare moment.
i adjusted your image, just a bit, to show what it might look like with darker details. i hope you do not mind.
i used the levels menu from photoshop, most paint programs have something similar.
i think your abilty is solid, something you can count on.
my hope is to show you a possible way to render an image to create greater visual interest.
there is no single answer as to drawing method, but contrast is a very powerful tool for moving the eye around a page.
starting to feel old and preachy,
but i have to say again, a really great drawing,

Wickio laughed, i hope others do as well.
thanks again to Wickio and ADC for all your hard work and patience with those fans who aren't so patient.
