Only reason Law lost was because Vergo had Law's heart though. The second he got it back, the match ended in a matter of seconds. Law should be also be quite fast but probably not as fast as Luffy. He is a swordsman and generally you get the impression that any skilled swordsman would have to be very fast, on top of keeping up with Smoker whose always been able to handle Luffy's speed. I say this because I've read people on a few occasions say if you've got speed, you can own Law.

Is there any hints or indication that he isn't fast? I am quite curious about this as to why people think he isn't fast.

I agree with your explanation that their tag team can work wonders though. I think they can also work with Luffy attacking head on and Law slicing from far away, short-ranged and long-ranged. Law can fight short ranged but it would be interesting for him to long ranged attacks and Luffy getting into the thick of things.. Then Luffy is about to get killed, shambles.. Kaido goes past Luffy and goes straight for Law, Gear 2nd (or 4?) to help Law out. Damn I hope this fight happens and it doesn't disappoint.

It should be interesting to see vs Kaido if they do fight him first. I would really like a 2v1 Yonko fight with those two and then Luffy fighting a slightly stronger Yonko (BB) by himself several years later down the line in the series to show just how much he has improved. Rather than Law getting owned, Luffy single-handedly beats Kaido.. single-handedly beats BM, single-handedly beats Shanks, single-handedly beats Blackbeard.

I totally agree. It seems alot of hate for law simply comes from "this is luffy's story, law is stealing all the shine. Ive been waiting for luffy to beat DD since oda first showed him but now it seems that this law character will" when the supernovas was 1st introduced, i took it as oda showing us "its a huge world, luffy is the main character but hes not the only one that has ambitions(not meaning haki).

But I will agree with the daz that Law's power is OP and he "should" be capable of beating anyone with such an OP DF but kizaru is the same. He should be able to move at the speed of light and own everyone. Fighting smoker, why didnt law just use scan on his jutte?

Well most of the supernovas made alliances so i really dont see them battling each other anytime soon.

And all those pirates from east blue… but i guess your right... i just kinda meant in the "dangerous" grandline. So... 4 pirates in small quite east blue then.... non till "foxy" which wasnt a battle and then none till gecko. And yes, they were pirates but the new fishman fit more along the lines of evil pshycos. Not pirates. They was trying to kill everyone on fishman island and take over the world.

i want to see another pirate crew that rivals the strawhat pirates in strenght(meaning not just 3 strong ppl conviently placed for luffy sanji and zoro and the rest fodder). i want the strawhats to get into a brawl with them, and not because the capatin is a dick who lies and abuses his/her own crew but just because there rival pirates. like how kidd and appo always fight when they see each other. or how whitebeard and rodger was said to be. Now all we see is luffy saving his new found friends from some evil king or psycho. where is all the other pirates in this great pirate age? how many actual pirate crews has luffy faced compared to evil kings or trolls?

also i would like to see zoro's fights with different finishers. i started reading the manga during shabody so idk if his moves were ever drawn different and maybe the anime messed them up, but am i the only one who is tired of seeing the cliche final slash that always leaves zoro standing as his oppenent drops behind him. whats the difference between really any of his sword slashes besides the strenght behind them? i still dont even understand what asura is. shishison, the crab move use on mihawk, the crossing of the 6 paths, asura and many more are all moves we really cant tell the difference but there supposedly stronger. why doesnt he ever finish a fight with a canon move or that twister he used on fishman island. all the moves we can see are usually used on fodder.

surprisingly hes still my favorite character.

lastly i want to see 2v2 and 2v1 fights with some of the stronger characters. i think it would be cool to see zoro and luffy vs kaido or monster trio vs big mom or luffy and zoro vs big mom and her first mate. all in the same place. instead every arc is usually everyone runs off and conviently meets there match. captain vs captain, zoro vs 2nd strongest, sanji 3rd and the rest fodder. they are pirates… as shanks said, fighting fair is not what they do.
