Great chapter can't wait for the next one, hopefully WB and even Shanks gets an appearance.

I was hoping for some badass Rayleigh talk, since he was introduced in such a badass manner in 500, but it didn't happen. Garp was the one who hyped him up, calling him "The Dark King". It must be related to his powers, or even a DF, however Yami Yami no mi was already eaten by BB, I hope we get to see what that title is all about in the coming chapters.

Garp seems to have hinted he will visit sabaody to handle Rayleigh. So he is headed to grove1 as well. We probably will get to see another Luffy Garp grandpa grandson lovin, and lots of fist of love.

Also I think Luffy will change his mind about not saving Ace once he finds out he was sentenced to a public execution.

Well gears + aura is pure win IMO.

Bellemere: She was a Marine. Marines turning pirate is something seen both in history and in One Piece, but never the reverse, a pirate turning Marine.

Coby was a pirate(technically he was forced to be one) and is now a Marine officer.
In history Redbeard was a Turkish pirate and was later appointed fleet Admiral of the Ottoman Navy.

So a marine turning into a pirate and vice versa is possible both in One Piece and in history.

Oda introduced them to hype a whole new person. He'll come, pwn, give some cryptic speech and show up 100+ chapters later int the new world… or be an immediate enemy in this or next arc.

I was thinking the same thing, and I bet one of these supernovas will be pwned by Raleigh, just for Oda to show us how strong/tough he is. It could also be an admiral other than Aokiji, or an uber bounty hunter.

The only thing worth mentioning is, that her nickname is "Glutton". It obviously fits to her. Her rude manner and her name could be a hint to Anne Bonny.

*X Drake
Well, he seems to be the most important one for me, because of a strange fact concerning his name. People already suggestet the X could be for another clan like the D, but Oda made something very strange. In the raw is a ディエス (Dies/Diez) above the X. These Katakana are for articulation of the word, so the X has to bes spoken Dias. What I found out is, that Diaz is hispanic for ten. The romans used an X as a symbol for a ten. It could mean, that Drake is suppused to be calles Drake, the 10th. This is just a theory from me…^^
Also he was a Navy Officer. It is the same marine rank as Ensign.

Jewelry Bonney definitely was based on one of only two best known female pirates(the other one being Mary Read). One thing to note, both of them disguised as men while aboard thier pirate ship.

As for X Drake, he probably was based on Sir Francis Drake, a real life vice admiral for the English navy, but was regarded as a pirate by…guess who? Yep the Spaniards.
