Gun to my head I'd say Noboru Koizumi. I don't dislike Hisada but I suppose I prefer Kazuya Koizumi.

RE: Chapter 823: Stirring World
Great chapter and I'm really glad that we end up getting more Carrot.
-
RE: Volume 81 Predictions/Discussion
I really like the new cover. Can't wait to get it.
-
RE: Volume 81 Predictions/Discussion
We will probably get Luffy on the cover since he is on most covers and is the main character. And I'm guessing he is keeping the old colors on his clothes and that there won't be a change there. Maybe some other strawhats, but most likely like Sanji, Nami, Brook and Chopper since we haven't seen them in a while. I'm guessing that we will also see Nekomamushi and Inuarashi on the cover and maybe Jack in mammoth form. Hopefully we will also see Carrot and Wanda somewhere.
-
RE: Volume 80 Predictions/Discussions
This is one of the best covers in a while, I really like the gentle feel from the colours.
Speaking of which, Luffy changed his clothes. It seems that he'll be wearing brown pants for the rest of Zou.
Yeah but it seems he changed again for Zou. He seems to be back in his normal outfit. I suppose they could be some other color but I doubt it.
-
RE: Volume 80 Predictions/Discussions
This was not what I was expecting but I still like it. I guess the next cover will be Zou related.
-
RE: Next Strawhat Crewmate (Vol. 6)
I wouldn't mind seeing a mink like Carrot be added to the crew if things play out in a good enough way. We already have Chopper as a fur covered friend, but I wouldn't mind another female crew member.

RE: One Piece Film Gold (July 2016)
One Piece Film Gold ey? Well it does make you wonder what it will be about. I'm guessing we will have Masayuki Sato as the Animation Director again for this movie, which I don't really have a problem with but it would be nice to see someone like Noboru Koizumi again.
But I doubt we will ever see him again. Now I might of course be wrong about Sato and we only have that one little picture of Luffy in the GOLD text to go off, but I say the chances are in favor of us seeing Sato back in business.
-
RE: Volume 80 Predictions/Discussions
So I guess we will be seeing the cover in 2-3 weeks.
-
RE: New 2-hour Special on 12/19
Oh, this might be cool. Better than more rehashing I suppose. Though I do like seeing older things with new animation. Though I think I would prefer to have it as a short arc in the manga. Then we would probably get a timeskip design for the Foxy crew.
-
RE: Volume 80 Predictions/Discussions
I want Carrot somewhere on the cover. Also I'm guessing she will have white fur.
-
RE: Volume 79 Predictions/Discussion
I would but them if it was bigger hardcovers with new covers and have the colorspreads be on color pages. Pretty much what they did with the Deluxe Editions of Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle.

RE: If someone else had to draw One Piece
One Piece
~Written by Eiichiro Oda~
~Illustrated by Rob Liefeld~Had to throw this together.
-
RE: If someone else had to draw One Piece
I guess I could have been more clear but Oda is supposed to still be alive and writing it in this game. He just can't do the art but One Piece has to go on.
-
If someone else had to draw One Piece
Hey guys and gals. Let's say that Eiichiro Oda was unable to finish drawing One Piece himself and you are put in charge of deciding another manga artist to take over art duties. Let's say you can choose anyone in the field of manga, living or dead and it wouldn't ruin anything else they are doing. Now I'm not trying to start a whole debate about if it should even be continued if Oda can't do it. This is just a fun little thing to do. Who would you choose to take on this tremendoes task?
I would probably go with Yusuke Murata. He is the artist most famous for Eyehsield 21 and One Punch Man. He does some real great action and we have seen him take on the character before, and I think it worked pretty nicely. Another one I can think of who could probably do a good job is Kōhei Horikoshi, author of My Hero Academia. Now, no one could really do it better than Oda, but remeber this is just a game.

RE: Volume 79 Predictions/Discussion
Thanks Redon. Well, I got mostly what I wanted out of this cover. It's a really nice and solid one. Best part is Gear 4 Luffy and Doffy.
-
RE: Volume 79 Predictions/Discussion
Hopefully we will be getting a picture of the cover in like 10 days if history repeats itself. Volume 78 was released on July 3d and we had someone post a picture of on June 18th. So hopefully we will be getting it around that time again, or earlier if we are lucky. I'm still hoping to see Gear 4 on the cover since we got some Gear 4 action in this volume too.
-
RE: Volume 77 Predictions/Discussion
Sorry for bringing this up so late after the post but I'm sure Smoker's swedish name was Bolmare?
-
RE: Volume 78 Predictions/Discussion
It might not have had Gear 4 Luffy on it like I wanted but it's a really nice cover, and we might be getting Luffy in Gear 4 on the next cover.
-
RE: Volume 78 Predictions/Discussion
I want the cover to be a cool picture of Luffy in Gear 4.
-
RE: Chapter 784 : Gear Fourth
I like how it works, but it could have been more visually appealing.
-
RE: Things in One Piece that bother you
Some minor nitpicks that bother me about the art are the overly thin waists of charactes like Nami and the fact that Oda basically only has one or two skin tones when doing his color pictures. I think he only uses like one color for skin and once in a blue moon Another skin tone for people like Miss Monday. But as I wrote, these are nitpicks.

RE: If Oda made a One Piece spin-off
For this kind of thread, adding a poll might not be a bad idea. Just to see what's the general opinion.
I decided that a poll would include too many options since a spin-off could pretty much be about any One Piece character and would not cover all the bases.
-
If Oda made a One Piece spin-off
I'm not sure if this has been a thread already, but here goes. So let's say that Oda was making a One Piece spin-off series, who you you like to see as the star or stars of such a series? I would probably have to go with Koala and Sabo series and possibly Hack. I'm guessing a lot of people would like to see Law centered series.
-
RE: Volume 71 Predictions
I'm guessing that it will include chapter 701-710 but I hope they might include 711 too. The title will be Adventure in the country of love, passion and toys or The Corrida Colloseum. The cover will feature Luffy as Lucy, Fujitora, Maybe Violet unless she will be on the cover of volume 72 instead. I'm guessing that we will also have the one-legged soldier toy, Bartolomeo, Bellamy, Cavendish, Rebecca. Maybe even Elisabello II, Dagama and Blue Gilly. I'm really hoping we will see Rebecca on this cover but we will just have to wait and see. I'm going to guess that the color of this volume will be red.

RE: One Piece Film Z Official Guide Movie, new book on sale 13th December
Are there any of Oda's costume design sketches in this book?
-
RE: One Piece Anime - Luffy Special (15th December)
Well it does look pretty real to me. And I totally love the Zoro outfit. Too bad these outfits aren't in the manga.
-
Favorite piece of One Piece animation.
The title pretty much sums it up. There are som many great animators for this series so let's give them a shout out. What is your favorite piece or scene from any One Piece animation, it can be either from the anime, the movies, the openings, the games or from commercials. You are of course free to mention more than one and naming your favorite animator is encouraged.
I can't really decide but for now I'm going to go with the part in Kokoro no Chizu where Aokiji freezes Luffy's arm. Might not be much but I just adore it and I think Noboru Koizumi did a great job with it.
-
RE: One Piece Film Z Official Guide Movie, new book on sale 13th December
Has there been any more new about this release? I'm guessing not but this is releveant to my interests, though I did find this.
Includes special interview of Eiichiro Oda, Osamu Suzuki, Ryoko Shinohara and Teruyuki Kagawa. Also comes with a round-table talk between voice artists, a poster illustrated on both sides by Eiichiro Oda, AR carddass "Monkey D Luffy" and a limited serial code to get a Chopper set.
Amazon.co.jp says that it's 100 pages long.
And I'm guessing this book is going to be more like One Piece Pia and not like the Strong World artbook by Oda, though I do hope I'm wrong about all of this. But the covers look alike, the page count is about the same and the price matches. Sorry to say that things seem to be pointing towards something more along the lines of One Piece Pia.

RE: Volume 68 prediction
I wish the SJ cover would be this volumes cover but I'm 100% sure it's not and I feel bad about not getting this picture until we see it in a Color Walk which will take a a few years.
-
RE: One Piece Film Z (Wrap Canon From the Manga Not Yet in the Anime with Spoiler Tags)
I am so looking forward to this movie, and I'm pretty sure it's going to deliver. Here's to hoping that they release an artbooks for it like they did with Strong World but I'm positive they won't since this doesn't have as many creatures and Oda wasn't involved to the same degree.
-
RE: Filler VS Pacing
I would prefer fillers as long as they don't mess stuff up like they've done with Zoro cutting steel before Alabasta and stuff like that. I mean the movies are practically high quality fillers, I know it's not exactly the same thing but still.
-
RE: One Piece Film Z (Wrap Canon From the Manga Not Yet in the Anime with Spoiler Tags)
If someone's gone from a series for over 8 years they're not coming back. For all we know Toei gave him the boot. It wouldn't make sense to randomly bring him back for a movie. Plus with him not drawing OP in all that time it's very likely he's gotten a lot worse at drawing the characters.
Well it's more like a little more then 5 years since his last episode was in early 2007 but yeah I know it would be no chance of him returning, I just think it's a shame that he doesn't do any more One Piece since I think he was one of the better ones.
-
RE: One Piece Film Z (Wrap Canon From the Manga Not Yet in the Anime with Spoiler Tags)
Koizumi has had nothing to do with One Piece since Episode 295….There was never any chance whatsoever of him being involved with this in any way. And they'll likely have the timeskip outfits, since part of the draw for this is that it's the first post-timeskip film
That's why I was secretly hoping for an unannounced return to One Piece… And yeah they will hopefully have
the outfits but I suppose they could change into other clothes for whatever reason. I miss Koizumi... -
RE: One Piece Film Z (Wrap Canon From the Manga Not Yet in the Anime with Spoiler Tags)
First of, I'm not really that impressed with the title and must say that almost all the other movies have had better ones but I suppose it will work. Z really looks like he might have something to do with the marines but I hope they won't pull a Gasparde again. His robotic arm or whatever it will turn out to be kinda make me think of Hellboy but that's just because of the design.
Nice to see Masayuki Sato back as the Animation Director, though I was secretly kinda hoping they would let Noboru Koizumi do this one. And I'm hoping for some nice animation from Naoki Tate aswell. Eisaku Inoue would also have been acceptable. Hmm I wonder if they will "pull a Strong World" with the clothes or let them have their time skip outfits. All in all, I'm really looking forward to this movie.
-
RE: Volume 66 prediction thread
I really like this cover, even though Shirahoshi looks a little squished as some people have pointed out. And is it just me or does Baron Tamago remind you of Hercule Poirot? I also like how relaxed Luffy looks as they sit down back to back. I'm looking forward to seeing a picture with higher quality.
-
RE: One Piece Film Z (Wrap Canon From the Manga Not Yet in the Anime with Spoiler Tags)
I'm kinda hoping for something along the lines of movie 7 but set in the new world. Oh, and some awesome animation from Tate thrown in for good measure.

RE: Volumne 64 Prediction Thread
@OPF:
He didn't forgot his right arm, you just can't see it because it's behind Brook and Chopper.
That's what I thought too at first but after a closer inspection it became obvious that it should have been visible somewhere. Like his big round shoulder thingie for example.Though I might be wrong, but it still looks like it's missing.
Fun fact: This isn't the first time Oda missed an arm. Once he drew Sanji without his right arm in the manga.
-
RE: Volumne 64 Prediction Thread
I think it's such a shame that Oda forgot to draw Franky's right arm. Especially since I like this cover so much. Am I the only one that noticed this?
-
RE: One Piece Film Z (Wrap Canon From the Manga Not Yet in the Anime with Spoiler Tags)
Koizumi hasn't been in OP since Nami vs. Kalifa in Enies Lobby. He hasn't been part of the series in years.
And that's why it would have been really nice to see him work on One Piece again, though that probably won't happen.
-
RE: One Piece Film Z (Wrap Canon From the Manga Not Yet in the Anime with Spoiler Tags)
This is good news indeed. I was really hoping to hear these news soon rather then later, and them saying it will be better then Strong World sounds good I suppose. Now the question I'm mostly thinking about is who's going to be the animation director/character designer of the 12th movie. 7 and 8 had Eisaku Inoue, 9 had Naoki Tate and 10 had Masayuki Sato. And I don't count 11 since it's the 3D one. I'm also going to assume this won't be a 3D movie.
On a side note, I have only seen likem the first half hour of Strong World but from what I know it looked pretty good so I wouldn't mind Masayuki Sato being the animation director. Noboru Koizumi, who did movie 5 and those might also be nice choice. Basiacally any of the people I mention has the potential for making the movie look good.
I would really like to see either Noboru Koizumi or Kazuya Hisada take a stab at it, but hey I don't mind any of the other guys so yeah. But I'm mostly just hoping for a good nice looking kick-ass One Piece movie set in the New World.

RE: Volume 65 Prediction Thread
I really want to see Oda doing a color picture/cover where Luffy uses busoshoku haki and since he uses it quite a bit in volume 65 i'm hoping it will be sooner rather then later. Hopefully this will be it. Just give me my fix Oda.
And just for fun we can point out that Luffy doesn't get pink and shiny when he uses Gear Second in the manga, atleast based on Oda's pics.I also find it quite funny that almost everyone in Oda's world has the same skin color. Ok…. now i'm just rambling.
Hmm and if my guessing is correct then the next chapter will be the last of volume 65.
-
RE: Volume 65 Prediction Thread
The cover will feature Hody, Decken, Daruma, Dosun, Hyouzou, Zeo and Ikaros Much. I'm also hoping for Luffy doing some cool haki move so we can see Oda's take on it in color before the anime(even though they kinda did it in gigant battle 2)
The color will be purple or maybe green? It will include chapter 637-646. The title will be An Ancient Arc or perhaps Protect Everything.
-
RE: Volumne 64 Prediction Thread
Brilliant cover, I hope its Jinbe who joins the crew instead of Weakyhoshi.
But I was dissapointed that Hodi wasn't in the cover. Want to see how he looks like in color.I also wanted to see him in Oda's colors. I'm guessing we'll most likely be seeing him on the next cover, otherwise there's something fishy going on here.
-
RE: Volumne 64 Prediction Thread
I did some minor touch up on the picture. Making the colors a little more vibrant and sharpened it up and cut off part the edges.

RE: New One Piece 3D special in One Piece Memorial Log on December
I would very much like to watch this, I would also like to see them do gear second in this one but I'm guessing that's not going to happen.
-
RE: Volumne 64 Prediction Thread
This is now officially one of my favorite One Piece covers. Luffy's scar looks pretty big and I can't see Jinbe's scar but hey, I guess it can't be too perfect. I am soooo looking forward to getting this, too bad I'll have to wait such a long time for it.
-
RE: Marineford Abridged(2chap. pace, no fillers)
First off all, thank you Dahaka. And secondly, I haven't watched all of Marineford yet so I might give this a watch but at the same time I would feel like I was missing out on the hard work that they put into making these episodes so in the end I might watch the original first and then give this a watch.
