Well, looking at it from the standpoint of a japanese-speaking person, his argument is, in fact, valid. The "dana" gobi is used when one's expressing acknowledgment. If someone were to use this to comment on oneself, it'd sound like that guy is a complete jerk and simply incorrect. I can remind of two occasions when Luffy was commenting on Hody and using it. I hope these two examples will give you an idea of what it means:

頑丈だなあいつ・・・ - That guy sure is sturdy…
タフさは億超えだな・・・ - His toughness sure does exceed (that of) a hundred million...

You can say in similar fashion that a building is really tall without mentioning the word 'building' at all and it'd be natural to assume you're talking about the building rather than yourself, right? Also, please take Mangastream's translations with a grain of salt and take a note that I was literal for reason. All comes down to the fact that Mangastream's translator got it all wrong (not the first time, not the last).

The theme of this week's Janbang will be "The path towards becoming the King of One Piece (Part One)" starring such TV greats like "Nonstyle" Yuusuke Inoue, Yoshio Kojima, Mitsu Murata, "Un-jash" Kazuya Kojima, "Ame Pie" and "El Sharakani" Taichi Taifu.

As for the translation, well, it's a bit off the track. Sure, the NF pirate does say the Strawhat can't destroy the Noah, but it's based on what he heard or what he thinks. Basically, his point of view.

Shuueisha is apparently cracking down on dealers selling Jump too early, and that's why T & ohana both had hard time getting spoilers out.
It's also probably the reason why mangastream and others are delayed.

I can assure you that Shuueisha ain't doing a thing and Ohana and T were just unlucky to buy Jump in the very same store, in the middle of nowhere, where the majority, if not all the scanlators, used to buy it. I know the exact reason why neither of them could get their copy. I don't want to speak of the reason publicly, though.

Yeah, this week it'll be an early one – the official Jump release date is on saturday, instead of monday, because there's Health and Sports Day taking place on October 10th.

@srazysnake Normally, I'd say they're paying attention to less relevant things, but here it's really hard to since their translator clearly knows no Japanese...

Alright. I don't know how, but I've managed to read through this massive clusterfuck. I have no idea whatsoever where did they get this translator from…

First of all, the title is "Above the Fishman Island," and that's it. Nothing more, nothing less, just that. No Rising. I have no idea whatsoever how they were able to put "Fishman Island Rising" in there...
Secondly, their scanlation had this awkward scene, where they translated bubbles as if they were said by Zeo, but they were said by the audience who was picking on Zeo instead.
Thirdly, I have a weird feeling they might have the entire Sanji - Nami segment wrong.
Lastly, the name of Nami's attack is most likely wrong. Haven't seen the original name, so I'm not going to pitch my ideas here yet.

God, the urge to go and get my copy up is even bigger now... Screw you, typhoons!

Volume 62 had 215 pages and contained 11 chapters. If this one has over 230 pages then it either has one chapter more or some extra content.

Shonen Jump's Table of Contents. Authors often leave messages there. Oda, in similar fashion, has announced once that he screwed up Zoro's eye and it was supposed to be left eye, not the right one.
And about Blackbeard, I think it was revealed in Green Databook that he basically has more live power within him than other people have. And hence the theory about 3 skulls = 3 lives = 3 DFs.

The point is, Mr Kettle, if you want to call out on the translator's shitty job, it's all you.
But if you want to call them names, it doesn't help your cause if you exhibit the exact same characteristics (in this case, looking down on them in a holier-than-thou attitude) you accuse them of. It's NOT going to go well for you making the point.

I agree with you that some of those translations are pretty shoddy, and I'm guilty of making fun of them as well.
But calling them arrogant assholes while being an arrogant asshole is a boomerang that's sure to smack you right in the face.

Just be an arrogant asshole. Don't call them out for being one. It's safer that way.

"I hate asian people, because they are so racist." <- this is a racist asshole that makes no sense.

Hmm, I have to disagree with myself being arrogant and if I've seemed to be so, I'm sorry.
In fact, I didn't call them by their names because I didn't mean one particular guy. I'm fed up with certain few people, some of them are really biased douche-bags. Heck, some of them even have a PhD.

I could only look down on them if I could be better and quicker than them, which is, in fact, possible considering a friend of mine working in the printing service when Jump's printed.
But I don't want to bother my friends just because I need something. I can as well go myself and buy Jump early on Mons, a week before.

I can't speak about the entirety of Asians, but some of them are, no doubt, racists. If you know what I mean to say.
