Now for a bit of trivia:
Baron Tamago's "soir" can also be spelled as "swirl"; "bon" as "bun"; "Si'l vous Plait" as an abbreviation of "silver plate". Normally, they wouldn't make sense, but the puns do relate in this case.

I've seen people calling Tamago's french random.
But my guess is the translation from japanese grammar to english grammar have mixed things up.
He's probably ending his lines alternativly by 'bon' & 'soir' to make 'bonsoir' (good evening). He's very polite ('S'il vous plaît'). And 'du jour' is mainly used in 'plat du jour' or 'menu du jour' (menu of the day).
So I don't know about his japanese but his french seems very welcoming and polite, like a waiter in a restaurant.
Plus, he's the one bringing food to Big mom, so ..
