Another thing about Law. I'm the only one who feels uncomfortable with him being a D. Ds are always chaotic, charismatic and kinda dumb (only listening to themselves or the Will of the D). Laws character doesn't quite fit in. He's more intellectual and coldheartly calculates his plans for revenge. I think thats why alot of people were surprised at this reveal, because his character shows nearly zero similarities with the other Ds.

It could have been anything back than and was likely not haki when the series was supposed to end within five years. In hindsight it "obviously" was haki, but it could just present Shanks being a fearful pirate back than. It wouldn't be the first time in a manga that such a situation did happen.
