So you are agreeing at least that some of the Scabbards are Yonko commander level? Good.
Yes, Yonkos are way stronger than their commanders. That doesn't mean that if 5 or 6 of them would fight together against a Yonko, they wouldn't be able to put up a fight at all.
And Luffy being stronger than each individual Scabbard, yet being one shot by Kaido doesn't mean a thing, because Kaido isn't fighting each Scabbards individually, he is fighting all 9 of them at once. Don't underestimate how much of a different that makes - even shielding yourself from a hit is difficult because you can't cover yourself from 9 sides at once. Think of the Strawhats vs. Oars fight. Oars with Luffys shadow was an absolute monster, none of the Strawhats would have stood a chance in hell of defeating him on their own, but through good teamwork, they almost managed to do so, if it hadn't been for Moria joining the fight.
That's overstating things a bit, isn't it? Complete headcanon on your part. He was, at the very least, a very strong fighter. I kinda doubt Whitebeard would give a commaning position to a 'complete nobody'.
Nope it isn't. Kiku in particular has been portrayed as a skilled fighter throughout the arc. She defeated Kanjuro for example, who was also portrayed as a pretty skilled fighter once his true nature was revealed.
As for Kinemon and Raizo, you're letting yourself get fooled by their portrayal as complete buffoons throughout the story. Being a buffoon does not translate to being a bad fighter - I mean, look at Luffy lol. We have gotten absolutely no hint that of Raizos fighting abilities before this. As for Kinemon, I already know what you are gonna say, omg, he got defeated by Law and was awed by Zoro managing to cut Picas giant stone body. How does that prove Kinemon is weak? Are Law and Zoro weaklings by any means?
I'm honestly starting to wonder what you expected to happen to Kaido in this arc? Because it's been pretty clear for a while that he will be defeated by the end of it, yet according to you, none of the characters, including Luffy, Zoro or Law, would even be able to leave a scratch on him, let alone actually put up a fight against him.
Thats not true in the case of the WB pirates - Marco, Jozu and Vista were all capable of briefly engaging Yonkou level opponents without looking inferior.
Im not disputing the fact that the yonkou and admirals are clearly stronger than them, but its a massive overstatement to say that the difference is huge, considering that a fully serious aokiji couldnt put a scratch on Jozu until he momentarily dropped his guard. Same with Marco and kizaru
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
As far as im concerned, this chapter was a clear instance of plot thematics and symbolism taking precedence over power level consistency, and for that reason i didnt enjoy it much.
