RE: APRIL FOOLS 2009- Luffy-ko
I still think that this is really drawn by Oda… But it doesn't have to be the real thing. It could be itentionally done by Oda as an April's fool joke... I mean it's Oda, you can expect everything!

RE: Chapter 531 "LV3 Hunger Hell" Discussion
I thought this thread would have been merged for the Chapter Thread Discussion, but I guess not. Anyway, I am not so sure about the whole strength matter. As I brought up last week, it seems to me like strength should be something that is inherited when he makes an exact copy. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if it was my post that made the user start this thread. Anyway, what we know is that Bon Clay can mimic someone 100%, and that it is not just an illusion. Were it simply an illusion, he would be able to fight with that body. Since he cannot, we know that the muscle and bone structure of the copied body is different from his own, thus lacking the flexibility and strength that his Okama Kenpo requires. As Vanessa points out, most bodies would be useless to him in a fight since they lack those special features. However, strength from someone like Zoro or a giant (if possible) could come in handy if he ever ran into a wall he needed to break down or something. In any case, fighting strength should carry over, it just wouldn't matter because he doesn't have their fighting skills. I mean think about it, if he has their muscle and body structure that hinders his Okama Kenpo, how would he not have the strength behind that muscle and body structure?
100% agree
What I just don't understand is why he doesn't use his power more often. The only time we saw him use is power in a "fight" was against Sanji. But that doesn't really count. More power can come very handy in a fight even if you can't handle it to that extent you're used to.
Ah well. We yet have to see him in a fight where his Okama Kenpo is useless. Maybe we will then see what his real potential is.. -
RE: Looking for fans of Prog rock
Yeah. Completely forgot about Marillion
Came across them through Ayreon's Into The Electric Castle. Fish has a small role on it and his singing blew me away! -
RE: Looking for fans of Prog rock
No one mentioned Porcupine Tree here? Steven Wilson is a genious!
I prefer "modern" bands in this genre. Other favourites are Ayreon, Symphony X and Dream Theater.
But you really can't define that because so many bands in this genre are 30 years or older
I also like Queensryche, Kansas, Pink Floyd. Never got much into Rush, Tool or Yes. Don't know how. There's not much difference but somehow I don't like them that much :/ -
RE: Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread
When Luffy reaches Level 5, Hancock, Magellan and the others will already be in front of the cage with some of the Demon guards. In the thus following battle Ace, Jinbei and Crocodile are (accidentaly) freed and will join the fight but they are weakened because of their injuries.
During the fight the ground beneath them will break and they will fall into Level 6. -
RE: Which Devil Fruits are we going to see in the future?
Ok, lets reason this out logically. First of all, a ship is constructed in such a manner that it remains afloat. It's not just gonna sink because it cannot swim and loses all power in the water. There isn't a force in the DF which drags its users to the bottom of the sea, they just are unable to to swim. In reality, having a life jacket on at all times would be a solution to this DF business.
Secondly. Let's assume that a DF user in contact with water literally turns into a hammer. I.e. his body becomes some metal or something. We know that isn't the case but still. A ship turning into metal. Would that sink? Um, we have metal ships - they float.
Thirdly. Didn't Oda explain how DF users lose their powers if they are submerged considerably into the water. I mean with ships only like 1/8 of the ship's total volume is in water which would be muck like a human ankle deep in water which shouldn't drain his powers.
So yeah. A DF infused boat would be awesome and useful. I like it. Neko Neko No Mi: Model Lion for Thousand Sunny!
Totally agree!
I just wanted to point out that it is dangerous if the ship ate i.e. the Neko Neko No Mi: Model Lion and transformed to his lion form on sea. It wouldn't have the floating characteristics anymore and therefore could sink THEN.
Depending on what the hybrid form is like this might be possible then (if most of the ship characteristics don't change). But otherwise the ship has to get on land somehow to transform safely which might cause some problems. -
RE: Which Devil Fruits are we going to see in the future?
I don't think that it would sink if it ate a devil fruit. Just think of it. A ship normally remains on the sea because of it's buoyancy. I think it would just lose its abilities (That way it would be very useless if a ship ate a devil fruit because it can almost never use it)
Unless it is transformed. Then it would certanly sink.
