Cool, cool. Pretty interesting stuff
Now speaking of character action games, where's another trailer of my Asura's Wrath ?

From GAF:
Megaman Universe, the player content driven 2.5D platformer due in Spring 2011 for PS3 and Xbox 360 has been canned. Capcom gave no specific reason for the cancellation, but the game will no longer be developed or released.
Brace for Legends 3 next.
Thank God for Troy Baker. He did a damn good job voicing Yuri from Tales of Vesperia.
Anyone watched Nichijou OVA yet? Was fun, pretty relaxing and it gave off a warm and fuzzy feeling. Especially the music. Lighthearted stuff.
Haha, this looks like a western version of Arcana Hearts. I like how the sprites and background look.
Well, I guess none, then. But if you don't read the description first and see the pattern and design of the outfit the loli in Lotte's Toy is wearing, how the main character is underage like most mahou shoujou characters and the artstyle that look somewhat lighthearted, I think it would make sense that some people would mistake it as a mahou shoujo anime.
@THE:
Find me an official poster of any innocent mahou shoujou anime with such pose and outfit.
Nanoha, I think.
@JERK:
The whole point is that premise and art are the very billboards an artist and writer uses to broadcast their ideas.
Right, because Madoka Magica sure is a lighthearted entertainment full of happy scenes.
@JERK:
Does "mahou shoujou" mean "FBI watch list".
Nope, it means "magical girl".
@JERK:
No, shut the fuck up. If you have to say "IF EVERYTHING CHANGED" you're already goddamn done defending it.
What "defending"? My whole point is that you shouldn't judge anything by how it looks and the summary alone without checking it out first. About Lotte's Toy being suggestive or not, I think it's been cleared up that it actually is.
Don't call me stupid boy.
Don't say that I did something that I actually didn't do either, Sir.
@THE:
Soulless generic characters design and a little girl in sexually suggestive outfit doing a sexually suggestive pose with a generic fanservice-ish cute expression. What do you need more.
I think you're exaggerating. Some people(including me), when the first time they looked at Lotte's Toy without reading the description first, thought it was a mahou shoujou anime due to the art style and design.
@JERK:
No no no, you see, this shit doesn't work. You don't tell a story about something like that with those fucking elements.
There are many possibilities of the the direction of the story changing drastically if the series in question doesn't seem to take itself seriously.
My god why would you ever even think of USING those things for metaphors in a fatherhood story unless you were creating a creepy exploitation series with SHOCK no serious pretensions at making a legit story??
Like I said, there are possibilities. Even if those terms such as "succubus" and "sperm" are being used, you still can change the direction.
I could explain what makes everything important in Masturbation Master Kurosawa. Can you explain the specifics of Lotte's Toy??
How should I know? I don't read it.
Just by art style and character design alone?
Well, if one were to judge by the synopsis alone, it COULD go into the direction of a man trying to be a father figure and raise a succubus kid to grow into a somewhat good human-like female being and to throw away her desires of sperm.
But now we all know the true nature of that manga aren't we, since some people here have already decided to read it out. So yeah, that kind of shit won't happen.
Sorry, man. I don't hang on /b/ like you. Shit's cancerous.
Trusting us, and not /a/? Why? You've trusted /a/ before.
Not….really. Being trolled by /a/ is a high chance. In here? Nope, not so much.
Like everyone has been saying, you're so willing to latch onto the opinions of others (in order to avoid scrutiny)!
Eh, that depends. Besides, when it comes to opinions, it's about whether it's good or not, you know, subjective stuffs. While in here, we're trying to find out whether Lotte's Toy is actually suggestive or not.
now anybody in this topic who's given it a read just for the sake of being informed knows more about it than you.
Well, good thing about that. Now it's all cleared and we know the series true nature.
@THE:
I don't know what is [C] but it looks gay.
And 1/3 of the its is a guy's haste breath.
Really now?
It most likely will be a mystery anime revolving around economical theme. Could also have some serious mindfuck.
@THE:
And yet you went on flame and all to defend something you has not read a page and was guaranteed by /a/. You really have so much faith in what others say, huh?
I didn't defend it nor have faith in what everyone says. I just think it would be unfair to judge something based on what it looks like and the synopsis alone and in my case, what people said about it without checking out the truth by ourselves.
But now, all of that has been cleared up.
Didn't your friends say the contrary? It's strange that suddenly you decide not to care about their opinions.
They were from /a/. That's why I have to check it whether they were saying the truth or not.
Should have figured as much.
Lol. So, THE SEA's opinion was enough to convince you though you didn't read a single page of this manga. You're really strange.
THE SEA's opinion would be when he said it's shit. But what matters here is that he has told us that it is indeed in fact, a pedo lolicon bait.
Man you've definitely read it, I don't know how much more conspicuous you could be lmao
I fucking didn't, alright? And never will. Whatever you want to believe, bro.
I WAS about going to try it out myself today. But Sea beat me to it and has proven it to us all.
Yeah, well, I was kinda tricked I guess. The supposedly manga readers were saying that it actually doesn't go to the direction what the anime synopsis says and that the succubus loli and the main character have a Yotsuba-and-her-dad relationship and it keeps staying in that direction. So, I was pretty much doubtful myself.
Unfortunately, Azuma doesn't want Yotsuba to be adapted into anime. He said it wouldn't work.
I don't know why would he think like that, though. Oh, and apparently, he doesn't like the Azumanga Daioh anime either.
Just admit you're already following it, you couldn't be more transparent.
Sorry, but nope. I really don't.
@JERK:
Stupid ignorant dumbfuck!!!
Next you're going to try telling me that one show about a 6 year old trying to lay her teacher is actually emotionally compelling and deep.
And you're going to do that because you're a disgusting manchild who is both sexually and literarily stunted.
Nope. But I know this manga called "Onani Master Kurosawa" which the synopsis is about a middle school boy who faps thinking about the good-looking girls in his class everyday after school in an unused school bathroom but is still a pretty good read due to the character development and the changes he went through, good drama too. Oh, and you know what? That shit lacks fanservice scenes despite the premise.
@Cuddles:
He compared Yotsuba to what now?
Looks up premise for Lotte's Toy
[hide]http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_IM_58JDpmJQ/TDMyuhIOdSI/AAAAAAAAAn0/PRn6DkVLgSE/s1600/whygodwhy-yotsuba.jpg[/hide]
Hey, hey, like I said. That's what I heard before. But now that has been proven wrong.
@THE:
I just read through Lotte's toy for the sake of gaining more knowledge and it was complete shit, shit and shit, and yes it is loli pedoshit even though it doesn't depict sex (but little girl exposing their bodies and other suggestive shits instead).
Oh. Well, then it's cleared, then. Thanks for letting me know. I was about to try reading it myself.
Do you know the phrase "More than meets the eye", Zeph? Like I said, some people who already read the manga already said things like "Yeah, whatever, read it yourself and you'll find that it's not actually like the synopsis you read" and that it's actually a lighthearted entertainment. I have heard that shit many times, though I haven't even read the manga yet, and am planning to check it out whether it's true or not since well, the manga readers are very vocal about it not actually going into the same direction as the synopsis.
@JERK:
You will never find a good story from someone who uses that premise.
Generalization much? This is just like saying a normal wooden pencil can't be broken because the tag line says "It's UNBREAKABLE"
Damn it, Zeph. Never thought you would be the kind of guy who talks shit about something you don't even know about yet. I thought you were a less ignorant dumbfuck than this.
@JERK:
Hey I have an idea, let's not read pandering disgusting loli bait crap.
We all have been saying this because we've never read the manga. As far as I know, there are some people who have read the manga who are upset about others thinking that Lotte's Toy is lolicon pedoshit while it's actually a lighthearted story about a single father raising that succubus kid, well, that' what I heard. I also don't believe it at first, but the guys who have read the manga are ALWAYS saying "IT'S NOT LIKE THAT AT ALL DESPITE THE SYNOPSIS GIVEN, READ THE MANGA ALREADY!" many, many times at the people who think Lotte's Toy is actually about what they think it is. So, yeah, I'm pretty much doubtful myself.
That's why I'm saying, why don't we check it ourselves whether it's like that or not?
I was going to ignore SUPERIOR TASTE IN ANIME bro until he compared Lotte's Toy to Yotsuba.
Well, that's actually what I heard from some people who have read the manga in other sites who have been complaining about other people thinking it's pedoshit because it's actually not like that in the manga. Hell, I'm not even planning to watch Lotte's Toy as you can see in my previous post listing what I'm going to watch.
Hey, I have an idea, why not we read the manga and check it out ourselves whether it's pedoshit or not?
looking down
I don't think you know what those words mean, fucker.
Also, yeah. I'm watching A Channel and Nichijou. Why? Because that means I can watch a wide range of shows, whether it's action, drama, or cute girls doing cute things. If you think A Channel and Nichijou are girly shows or disgusting otaku pandering shows or anything like that, then you are an ignorant close-minded entry-level weeaboo who only has limited taste and is afraid to try watching something different other than mainstream battle shonen.
Grow some taste.
So, what other Non-Shounen shows are you going to watch?
Nichijou
[C]
Denpa Onna
Ano Hana
Tiger & Bunny
Hana Saku Iroha
Hidan no Aria
A Channel
Dog Days
Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi
Because despite the premise, it's actually about the life of a single father raising his "daughter". Just like Yotsuba.
Episode 10 just…..holy shit. My brain is full of fuck. Need subs.
Here's the raw if you guys want: http://www.anidragon.net/node/1280
Doesn't mean they are the only worth watching anime of the season.
@HiroVoid:
Damn straight! I say we go ahead and make us a "Lotte's Toy" thread right now!
Seems like it. I don't get why most of the guys here are so excited over Shounen adaptions only. Most of them suck anyway, it is already very fortunate that we have Gintama, DW, Toriko and AnE in one season.
Yeah, the most posts in this thread are only "OMG GINTAMA, SKET DANCE, TORIKO, YAY XDDD". It's like anime with typical shonen art style are the only ones that matter.
There is one post that say "Most of the other stuff looks dumb" in this thread without wanting to even try the other shows first.
It's sad, really. I know this is a forum about a popular shonen mainstream manga, and thus most people would only care about those kind of stuffs, but would it hurt to expand your taste? Like, seriously? Most light-novels based anime and the original ones are worth watching. And the ones in other demographics besides shonen such as seinen, josei, and shoujou are pretty good too. Battle and Gag/Comedy aren't the only genres there are.
Am I and the other 3 or 4 people the only one who's excited for [C] in here or what?
Welp, just finished watching the episode.
Since Magical Girls turn into Witches, QB said that Madoka would be the most powerful Magical Girl, and that this episode stated Walpurgisnacht as Witch Queen, then I think it's safe to say that the final plot twist is that Madoka is Walpurgis all along.
! KYOKO DIES
! Good night, sweet princess.
ummmm..
Oh for fuck's sake, Gurren Lagann/GAINAX didn't invent hotblooded sketchy angry face, GL is basically a homage to old school super robot shows. So of course GL would have that kind of art style/animation. That kind of art style/animation for hotblooded scenes is common in anime especially in the old days.
That style of face animation is usually used by hotblooded mecha pilots in the past, especially Go Nagai(The man who created many super robots show)'s works, such as Mazinger and Getter Robo. And Gurren Lagann also happened to pay homages to one of Go Nagai's works. Not to mention the director of Gurren Lagann, Hiroyuki Imaishi is a big fan of Getter Robo. The use of thick and sketchy lines in anime is totally nothing new.
Don't go spout bullshit like "OMG GUISE, GURREN LAGANN'S STYLE IS SO NEW AND DIFFERENT, EVEN THE SKETCHY THICK LINES ART STYLE AND THE HOTBLOODED/ANGRY FACE ANIMATION THAT IT INVENTED IS ADAPTED BY ODA IN STRONG WORLD XDD" when you don't know shit.
Don't be an idiotic casual and go watch more anime, especially the genre-defining classics. And learn how to embed YouTube videos properly.
Oh, and btw, Super Robot Wars Z2 featuring Gurren Lagann for PSP if you guys interested:

Sorry for bumping, but..
@Accelerator:
Oh and btw,Mx0 suck balls,so I think this will be the same.
Well, fuck. I NEVER remembered this post. Heh, turned out this anime is fucking awesome and is one of my favorites now. Accelerator is just plain fucking badass and Touma while being your typical generic moral guy protagonist like in most shonen battle manga, is still interesting of a character. I still think Mx0 is an overrated piece of shit that deserved its cancellation, though.
Also, anyone still following the season 2 here? Last episode was awesome with Accelerator and his shotgun massacre.
Oh, and btw, in novel vol. 22:
! Touma dies.
Seriously.
Heh, apparently 2ch's a bit dumbfounded that our gaijin speculations were for the most part pretty spot-on.
Never underestimate /a/nons.
Anyway,

Though, I'm also personally glad that Infinite Stratos is doing very well since it's my favorite show of the season. 2nd season imminent.
