Too true, personally I would rather have Sabo or Momonosuke eat it, but that doesn't mean I can't see Sanji get it.
Neither does it mean I believe he will get it.

As I can see, most of the people who don't wan't Sanji to eat the fruit are saying it will make his training during the timeskip become useless.
First let's look at blue walk...
To me it seems that Sanji is capable of physically moving the water away by pressure so fast that he is able to run normally underwater.
Would people still hate Sanji eating the fruit if he didn't loose his ability to "swim" because of his blue walk
Sanji would have to geppou quickly into the sea with enough force to not be effected by the sea water temporally
His "Fire" body could possibly be so hot that he gains a second extra compared to other fruit users
Though the second he stops blue walk without jumping out of the water he will drown like all fruit users.
He would become the most feared among the marines because he found a way to move in water even with a fruit.
He could get bounty name "Red Sea Devil" Sanji, Red (Fire), Sea (Blue Walk), Devil (Devil-fruit user), which would fit well with the name I want Zoro to have "Demon King Azura" Zoro.
Discuss… Is it possible that Sanji will like Blackbeard show the world that something thought impossible is possible.

Next Momonosuke, which I must admit can see eating it since I believe Monet was a logia that ate a Smile Harpy Zoan.
If he eats it, I don’t want him to become a logia, but get certain charistics/abilities instead
Unlike Monet his first fruit is a zoan, thus he will have zoan transformation, unlike monet who was a logia first and therefore kept her intanglibility, but couldn’t change forms (Therefore no intanglibility).
I want him to gain Fire Breath and Manipulation (Flame Whip) from the whip and his increased skill in fire will allow him to create clouds bigger and quicker (hot air helps create clouds)
If all this happens I hope he in the future becomes a one sword user, with fire whip manipulation for his offhand, while having all the charistica of a mythical zoan. Also being able to generate lightning from clouds, which I think is what Dragon does.

Just a thing about the fruit: Ace was 'burned' by Akainu because lava has a superior temperature (lava usually burns at 800 celsius degree) than flame (red flame usually burn at 800 celsius degree)
But flame can burn up to 2000 celsius degree (white flames) which is higher than the temperatureof the lava. Do you think that an extremely skilled user of the fruit could do that and so making the fruit suprior to the lava's fruit?
It doesn't have to do with temperature, but the fact that magma is hot liquid rock.
Therefore it smothers (suffocates the fire), which makes the fire go out.
Fire can't exist where there is Magma
So Akainu was right his logia was superior to Aces, though with equal haki this would "probably" mean nothing.

He already has one devil fruit
What makes him cool is that he with such a weak fruit can get so far, therefore I think it would do his character little justice if he only could keep up with blackbeard with an extra devil fruit.
I believe that the devil fruits “demon DNA” impedes itself into the DNA strings in the nucleus just like a HIV virus, therefore I believe that the reason that why Blackbeard has an atypical body is either he has an extra DNA set (which happens really rarely in real life) or has a “twin” on his body somewhere.
I See Blackbeard as the Don Krieg of the new world, he uses extra devil fruits instead of hidden weapons. Therefore I believe it would be very poetic justice to have luffy, in much the same way, be the spear that pieces his armor (in his case the two hax devil fruits).
The purpose of this thread is to discuss what will happen to the Mera Mera no Mi, not to bicker like schoolyard children. If you wanna make a wager with one another, do it through private messages, and leave it out of the thread where other people are trying to have a civil discussion.

sanji was introduced working on a floating restaurant….his backstory is him working on a ship, being saved at the sea and suriviving in the middle of the sea, his dream is to find a certain sea, he loves mermaids, he is the fastest swimmer of the crew, he can breathe underwater the longest in the crew…..
i dont see why you cant see that sanji is mostly connected with being in the sea.
well yeah, you can argue nami is a navigator or whatnot, but still, sanji swims, dreams and lived in water most of his life.
he even got a move underwater which he developed training in 2 years which all of a sudden will get on recycle bin because of some guys wishing him to be a hammer.
I would agree with everything if Jimbei wasn't going to join and note I was one of the ones that didn't want him joining (Only wanted him as an allied crew to the strawhats).
He like the rest of the crew was also drowning (Fishman Island), when they tried to enter Fisherman Island, where they were saved by mermaids. (therefore his underwater skills are the current best, but simply not good enough for the new world, which is like Ussop repairing the Going Merry before Franky joined)
I am completely aware that Sanji wants to find all blue, but as I see it, his reason for this is that he wants to cook all types of fish in the world. (Not neccesarily swin in it)
As I have written earlier I would rather have Sabo or Momonosuke eating the fruit, but of the current strawhats Sanji is the most likely (and I would not care if a strawhat didn't eat it as long as no marine did)

That skill becomes of less importance when Jimbei joins, since he will be the strawhats underwater expert
Just out of curiosity, why do a lot of you guys dislike Coby? While admittedly, kind of annoying, I think he's a well written character who's shown some good growth.
I certainly don't hate Coby, I like his character.
That however has nothing to do with wanting him to eat the Mera Mera no Mi, since I feel it would be shitting on Ace's character if he or any other marine ate the fruit
