I hate to ask, but does anyone know of a way to install service packs for windows on a non-genuine version of windows XP? I'll be getting a new computer and a genuine version with it sometime between December and March and that will solve all the problems, but until then, I have problems with my computer because I can't get service pack 2 or 3. -_-

Try downloading a copy of XP with SP2 hard-coded.

If you lived by me, I would let you use my college license version of XP service pack two. Since I don't use 64 bit edition.

well its worth a shot. if it was a bad dl, I think there would be comments in that page concerning it.
another option would be getting someone to burn a similar cd for you.
