Damn, today's episode, so much awesomness <3 Setting up the whole Mister Saxon thing. So then, allons-y! Let's have a lil thoughts from me, eh?
So then, first up: The Plot.
So, A Scientist finds himself with a way to reverse aging, but ends up transforming into something hideous? Well, seen it all before, but the way it was done. Damn, so good.
Professor Lazarous (Human): Well, even though his face looked so fake as the old form, Mark Gatiss played the role VERY well, in the end you really did pity him, because he'd managed to find a way to reverse the aging, but in the end became a mutant
The Lazarous Scorpian: Damn, now, who WASN'T impressed with this monster? It was so awesome, yet scary at the same time, my only peeve is that I would have loved to have seen it in some sort of cavern area, but it scurrying through those pipes, chasing after the Doctor was so much love. They should SO make a Plush or Figure of it. Wish they did something better with his killing though, seemed too much like the Dalek sucker of death from Doomsday.
Martha: Ok, so her family aint so bad as Rose's but still not very interesting. I did love the Doctor saying 'their mothers! Why do they always do that?' after being slapped by her mum. Martha herself was pretty much awesome, especially at the end where she told him that she wouldn't be coming along if she wasn't considered a part of the crew.
The Doctor: As usual, perfect, Tennant proves time and time again that he is so much awesome, even becoming as awesome as the first four Doctors. I did enjoy the ending, where he closes Lazarus' eyes, in some sort of respect to him, it was probably my favourite scene of this series thus far, better than Dalek Sec's Human, better than Boe's message, better than Judoon on the Moon too.
The Ending: Wow, who knew that a Cathedral scene could be so awesome <3 I was quite annoyed at the fact that Lazarus was dead by such a simple blast, but then he killed those people and we knew that he was back, then him saying all that stuff, holding onto his beliefs. It was actually pretty awesome, then he mutated and they had that awesome outro scene for him.
Also, the awesome next time thing was good, although I woulda liked to see a better one for next weeks too. Oh well. Can't have both =3 Next weeks episode is set to be 42 minutes long, and is a play on the TV series '24' although we all know that it'll be better. It is about something that is being taken over the crew of a spaceship, which is also incidently hurtling into the sun. (which will happen in 42 minutes too) so yea, sounds pretty cool.
Anyways, some may be wondering which is my fave eps so far, well, here we go:
1. The Lazarus Experiment
2. Gridlock
3. Smith and Jones
4. Evolution of the Daleks
5. The Shakespeare Code
6. Daleks in Manhatton
