Enel - Simply for the fact that I don't like names endingin ru,
it seems like it's uncomplete. Enel brings a sort of closure to it.
enel (what the big deal anyway???)
enel (what the big deal anyway???)
The big deal is his name was never romanized in the manga, in other words never written out in English. It was only ever written out in Japanese, which could be worded out in English in several ways. Enel, Ener and Eneru. So ultimately it comes down to personal preference with sides on all fronts slapping down evidence proving that their way is the most accurate.
All three of the terms have plenty of evidence to support their use, so no since arguing anymore, just use what you want. This will only ever be solved if Oda writes down the name in English someday, and even then that wont stop people from using the other terms. Like Bon Kurei. Despite it being a holiday (I think) and having been written in English in the manga, people still use Bon Clay.
Chances are if Oda ever does write down Enel's name in English it will be anti-climatic in some SBS or something, cause I guarantee you he never really thought about it like we do.
