There is one thing I definitely don't like about being here, and a recent event in the past five minutes just tripled it.
It is impossible for a girl like me to buy shoes in Japan. Why? Because I have a size women's 10 WIDE. (silently cursing her father's DNA) Buying shoes is enough of a pain in the ass back home (except for the savior that is DSW Shoe Warehouse), but here? Forget it. Japanese girls seem to all have insanely tiny feet, it's UNFAIR!
Despite this quibble I wasn't too worried about it, because before coming here I had bought three new pairs of shoes. Nice boots with heels, comfy clogs, and formal shoes. Add my sneakers to this and I thought I was set. Well, five minutes ago in this very computer room, I glance down only to see my doom. A popped stitch in the back of the heel of my black boots, which I JUST BROKE IN! These were going to be, along with my sneakers, my main winter shoes, but NOOOOOOOOO. God had decided to mock me and popped this stitch. It's not too bad now, but I know it will get worse. So now I have to hopefully find a shoe repair place that can do something about it. But I don't know if they can, these are Sketcher brand boots, not real leather. I can't have my parents ship me shoes from home either, cause we all know you really have to try shoes on to make sure they fit, the number doesn't necessarily mean they'll fit or be comfy.
silent sobbing Why was I cursed with big feet? Why god?
Sorry if I'm ranting, but I really needed to let loose some steam.
