Just a funny thought occured to me earlier.I know Usopp's father is a ace marksmen but also could he be good at marksmen by aiming with his nose?

I think that's a fan assumption. Strangely enough, it also appeared in Wikipedia (but anyone can put info there, so…)
Although it is logical to think so, Usopp's stance when sniping proves it wrong. He often shoots with his nose pointing in the other direction...
I dunno, tho. If there's an SBS on this, I would like to see.
-
Eh it was just a thought but if it was true that would be kinda funny.
-
Hehe, it's already been discussed somewhere else… I think the "Why do you like Usopp" thread. We couldn't find an official source, though :x
-
If I had Ussop's nose and skill, I would use my nose to aim mostly out of instinct.
-
I can imagine a lot of interesting uses for nose such as that.
I don't think it makes a lot of sense to use his nose in sniping though. :) -
For one thing, he couldn't use his nose for a crosshair. All the nose can do is make sure that his head is perfectly aligned with the target.
When you try to shoot something, you align the gun (in this case the slingshot's bullet) with the target. The position of your head doesn't change anything.
There is one way to target with the nose; that is to align the slingshot itself with the nose. However, Usopp almost always held it at armlength, and sideways. So, I dun think it's a crosshair.
No worries! There's a dozen other things that his friends can use his nose for ;)
-
Don't forget, he's also good at aiming cannons, I don't think the nose count much in that cases
-
As long as the weapon shoots straight, Usopp can use it. I don't know about hand-thrown projectiles though. That's more of a ninja thingy…

But he has ninja death star thingies! maybe he's a pirate ninja?
anyway…
I've not heard this before but I don't think he uses his nose for that at all.. his nose is just a play on his name and what he does 'lies] I think?
-
It wouldn't supprize me in the least if Oda knew about Pinnocio.
-
I thought it was pretty obvious that the long nose was a reference from Pinoccio. His intro is also based off the Boy Who Cried Wolf, from Aesop's fables.

Yeah I knew that much too..
I think Merry and Kaya's based from 'Mary had a little lamb…'

Thanks to Naruto's uber low performance nowadays, the word "ninja" sounded bad for me >.< Then again, they're not real ninjas.
Cosmic: Ahh, the boy who cried wolf. They made that into picture storybooks. But this time, the Boy has good friends. And the wolf ate rubber
-
Watch out, Luffy. Ussop says there's a wolf that wants to eat you!XD

Don't forget the makibishi (i think they're spelled like that) XD

That's the best thing I've heard all day.

You can't say it doesn't LOOK that way? XD
