Something about this part confused me. After Sanji uses Veau Shot and Bon Clay uses Bombardier Arabeque, they both land, Sanji falls to the ground, yet Bon Clay starts spinning and flies into a wall. Why does this happen? Wouldn't it only happen if Sanji kicked him into the wall in midair?

I wouldn't say directly Fist, but it seems pretty common in manga for the impact to hit dramatically after a clash.

Well that I´d say that would be the ultimate after effects of that strikes he received.
And I agree with the parody on the classic clashes. Oda was inspired by so many different stuff. I see no reason why it should be different here.
