Eh, I'm always watching even when you think I'm not. :ninja:

Meanwhile, the new AP changes are crazy. One thing I'm noticing are all the new mage items with health and resists. I'm hoping this leads to more variety for tanky APs, kind of like how right now champs like Gnar or Darius have so many great tanky AD options like Black Cleaver or Sterak's Gage. I bring this up cause I'm hoping this'll work out for champs I like to play like Nautilus or Blitzcrank.

The rest, feels like something that needs to be experienced. I mean, I can't do the math to explain how all these new health and mana regen passives work or if they're better or worse. I will guess that Archangel Staff will change from a niche pick to a main now what all the high AP items are getting mana.

Spooky. About AP top, we have a decent amount of them, Lissandra, Ryze, Rumble, Singed, Lulu and Aurelion Sol.

I think the reason why they are putting so much defense status in the AP items is because of the number of ADs champions on different roles that we are getting recently, like Quinn Top, Graves jungle and Jhin mid".

I also loved the change in the Athene's Unholy Grail to a support item, it fits.

I have been waiting for the Taric VU for so long. I bought all his skins what feels like years ago or whenever they first announced this and I've been waiting ever since and he looks so great. Everything is great. His dance is great. Each of his skins feels unique. His kit looks pretty good. I wanted to take him toplane because that's mostly all I do these days but I don't think I'd mind taking him bot. They did a really good job.

! I am still mad at my stupid personality. Some little things (some even unrelated to the game) got me down last evening and I lost all the joy of playing the game WHILE in game, I just wanted for it to end soon. And in result I ended up being a passive adc who did nothing. And that's something I hate even more than feeding. What sucked the most is that I was playing with a friend, I wouldn't have minded if I were alone.
Hopefully I'll get to play another game soon.

Buff duration - reduced to 90 seconds from 120 seconds. First buff clear still 120 seconds duration.

Red Buff*
Burn now applies damage tick immediately on apply or reapply, damage-per-tick reduced to compensate.
This means sronger attack speed scaling
Health regen now scales "steeply" with champion level but shuts off when in combat with champions or epic monsters - triples effect at level 6 and again at level 11.
Buff duration - reduced to 90 seconds from 120 seconds. First buff clear still 120 seconds duration.

Camp Respawn Timers*
When a camp that has a timer (Red, Blue, Dragon, Baron, Rift Herald) has less than 60 seconds to spawn, its timer is revealed to both teams (regardless of their vision of the camp), and an “about to spawn” icon appears in the minimap (will replace regular camp icon if you still haven’t seen the cleared camp)[/hide]

Ok, I've tried some of these out, and they can't go through as they are…

Malz stands out. Thanks to his new passive he takes almost no dmg. It's like a Banshee Veil shield on a short cooldown that negates damage as well. Unless you force him into an extended fight, this guy doesn't die anymore. Given, his damage is reduced but still significant.

Brand also stands out. They only changed his passive, but it basically makes champions explode in flames when you hit three spells on anyone. The description on the website is true, this guy can kill an entire team if they stick too close together. I could comment on all of them, but let me just end by saying that Vel'koz's new ult is instant death if he gets his stacks high enough. True damage makes a difference!

AP Ratio increased to .4 from .3
Deals double damage against non champion targets.

AP Ratio increased to 1.0 from .8

Tooltip now notes Ravens can not attack the same target again for 1 second.

What I think about all this champions changes:

Malzahar: Passive must be tuned down a bit, his new W and R (together with his old W) are great.

Brand: Ideal for wombo combo teams..Maybe too broken for a suport.

Vlad: They managed to make him viable, even without Wota

Zyra: Her new passive reminds me of Illaoi's passive, overall, I liked

Vel: Meh, his new ult is ok..From the champions that suffered an update, this one was the least surprising.

Cass: She will be a fast snake with her new passive and Q buff, it will be ideal for kite, but her W…oh boy...At least they are going to nerf the range.

Annie: FINALLY, Tibbers will be useful, not just a AOE stun

Swain: It's just an appetizer for his VU, but I liked.

Fiddles: Makes sense, I wonder how fast he will be after he ults ?

Ziggs: Together with Tristana, the tower's nightmare duo.

Syndra: More balls, more fun, right ?

Xerath: High risk for high damage ? Why not ?

Anivia: Liked her new R, Now you just put the AOE slow and keep there for more damage and more slow.

Veigar: Now I think that Liandry will be a core item for him, well, his passive looks fun.[/hide]

Meddler on Evelynn

Over on the boards, Meddler also chimed in on Evelynn including repeating that she is a strong contender for a visual and gameplay update in 2017:
"Quote:

• What archetype/class and subclass is she supposed to fall under?
• Does she fulfill her thematic role well?
• What is she supposed to do in gameplay and does she do it effectively?
• What stat is she supposed to scale with, is it effective enough?
• She seems to be underperforming, even amongst her mains. Is the balance team happy with her?

Evelynn's intended to be an assassin, with a heavy focus on flanking and range management within an engagement. Like other assassins taking out a valuable target should be her primary goal. AP is intended to be her primary form of scaling.

For a long time a more diver like playstyle, with pretty tanky builds, has been her most effectively way of being played though, which creates some thematic disconnect. Performance wise we see her as very middle of the pack when played by experienced Evelynn players and compared to other champions played by people familiar with them. Her average performance is a little on the weak side, brought down in part by newer players going for higher damage, squishier builds that tend to be less successful. Balance wise that means we feel she's in a reasonable, stable spot at present.

Long term Evelynn seems like a good choice for a full update someday, given that disconnect between champion thematics and play, plus the age of her model, visual effects etc. We won't get to her this year, we've got other champs already in the pipeline. Next year she seems like a strong, but not guaranteed, contender for a spot though. If we do assassins as the end of year class update it's likely she'd also get some adjustments then."

About the new artworks, I like them and yes Onemoment, that is a baseball skin for Nautilus on the background, you can be happy.

Um…I sure hope so! The body shape doesn't quite match, so I'm not sure if that's Naut or just an evil catcher needed for the splash to work.

Meanwhile, I've tried Tali on PBE! She's a utility mage through and through, a lot like TF in terms of roaming or Anivia in terms of rewarding skill shots. Her Q does a lot of dmg if you hit all 5 shots, yet the "worked ground" area if leaves behind is weird. It's not a straight buff, but rather you gain movespeed and saved mana while giving up dmg. It's probably good for killing minions and poking when you have rylai, but it's sometimes more to your advantage to leave the worked ground and use the 5-hit Q instead.

The W and E meanwhile are the skills that'd win you the game. The W is tough to land, and it feels weird to control, but if you land it you do dmg and push one or more enemies into whatever direction you want. Meanwhile, you can knock them into your E for massive dmg. The ult is cool too, like TF if lets you teleport massive distances and/or block off the enemy with a massive wall. So, overall she needs a lot of well placed spells to be effective. She'll probably end up played by those that like her design and want to take the time to master her.

Onemoment: About Taliya, she looks fun, her passive and Q are great, but her R, another mobility ult ? :/

It's a utility/mobility ult. You create a long wall, and if you click against you surf on it with the option to jump off at any time. The wall meanwhile is impassible and pushing enemy away. It's like a massive anivia wall combined with aurelion sol's flight ability. No dmg, so this thing rewards the smart teams.

Also, in the new patch I'm loving the changes outside of mages, in particular the jungle. Righteous Glory is great for tank junglers, and with it I have so much sustain. Meanwhile, Kindred (my other jungle main when I need to carry) got a lot of nice new items (Bloodrazor and a cheaper Cleaver), and (like many have said in review of this patch) all the mages running around are slow, soft targets for my Nautilus, Kindred, or Nocturne to gank. This patch is great if you can exploit it.

**Super Galaxy Kindred** has received a new set of sounds and a price bump up to 1350 RP
"We've added more sounds to the AA, (Q), (E) and (R), and they have sounds on their (W). Kindred will also have a new sound for when they collects their bounty. (This won't be in until Monday, though!)"

Updated Splash Art

Following the new Trundle skin splash arts in 6.9, five new Tristana skin splash arts have been added in today's update - Riot Girl Tristana (Loading screen), Earnest Elf Tristana (Loading screen), Firefighter Tristana (Loading screen), Guerilla Tristana (Loading screen), & Buccaneer Tristana (Loading screen)! While not a new asset, Rocket Girl Tristana's (Loading screen) splash was also changed slightly.

Mid-Patch Updates: May 9th Balance Update

The official 6.9 patch notes have been updated to reflect balance changes for Malzahar, Swain, Vladimir, and Cassiopeia that have all been hotfixed to live on May 9th.

Do you play this champ? I've never really looked at her, but admittedly I've been stopped by a few that got fed, not realizing that you basically don't fight her when her ult is up.

Meanwhile, there's neat changes on the PBE. I'm not gonna list them all, but Kindred is getting her Q and E slow nerfed, yet it seems that these abilities get stronger with stacks from their passive now. Interesting, but I regret that this champ is even more snowball reliant now.

Edit: Oh, according to surrender@20 those changes are coming later, but the nerf is now. I read this before testing it out on the PBE.

Meanwhile, Trinity Force got a big change. Zeal's been removed from it's build, and now Stinger has replaced it. It's weird seeing Zeal lose it's spot, but when it's already part of like 4 other items (meanwhile Stinger only builds into Nashor's Tooth)I guess this isn't a big deal.

I'm pretty sure I've fallen into a skinner's box trap with this game. I've qualified for promotions to the next rank up in my division. I have like 5 of those hextech boxes, and 2 fragments to make a key. I also have one champion token for Nocturne to level up to rank 6. All of this, at the same time. I'm one game away from winning something.

I should be more motivated to complete one of these prizes, but thankfully I've learned to not want things too much in this game otherwise you waste a lot of money. The Hextech system is really lame anyways.

Onemoment: Yeah, you are right. I think that crafting boxing is a bait to pay for more boxes and keys, even that mastery 6/7, you still have to get shards of champions or essences to get those masteries. I am happy that I got a mastery with one champion I like, but I am not going to waste my time (or money) trying to get level 7 with all the characters (or with all the champions I like).

About getting boxes, key shards for playing good (S-, S, S+) is a good way to prevent a possible waste of money. Is a shame it came too late for me.

I'm so glad to see someone answer this before I did. While your answer is good, lemme share some personal experience. I sometimes play top lane gnar, and this item is great on him cause you want to apply your on-hit passive. With that in mid, it's also great on auto attack on-hit champs that want to apply passive. So Gnar, Teemo, and sometimes kindred love this thing. However, it's usually a second or third item cause better items suit these champs better (Gnar, for example loves the Black Cleaver).

Hextech Mystery Champion Shard planned for 6.11

As some of you may recall, champion mastery 6 and 7 were announced to come with a way to get champion shards (which are needed as shards, permanents, or blue essence to level up) for IP.

These are headed our way soon in the form of Hextech Mystery Champion Shards, which have been added to the PBE shop for testing late in the 6.11 PBE cycle. Purchasing one of these - using either RP or IP - will grant one random champion shard, which can be turned into blue essence if need be.

When asked what IP price they are planning to launch the new shop item with, Riot Socrates

"Prices we're looking at are ~1700 IP per shard atm. Should be going to PBE today."

When asked if this will launch in patch 6.11, Riot Mirross confirmed:

I finally managed to get mastery 6 with Tahm Kench, I am so happy.~

Another thing I have being thinking, if you have a favorite champion, if you want, you can post the build you use, skils, tips, etc… This way everyone can understand how the champion in question works.

thats whats mobafire is about, but i guess everyone has their differnce in their own buildpath.

my main is teemo, and i start with boots and 4 pots in 95% of the cases. than i build lyandrys, deathcap, voidstaff and sorcery shoes as core. than i chose 2 items from the following zonyas, lich bane, morrellonicon, banshees, abyssal or wits end.

skills: i max q against ranged champions with high poke, e against melee and low poke range champions.

runes: flat armor, flat AP and attackspeed

masteries: 12/18/0

with it i try to chut down my oponent as fast as possible and just snowball from there

Well, I will post my build and how I play Illaoi:[hide]Start with W, walk around the top lane to spread your passive, than focus on your Q as it will buff every tentacle smash from your passive. ALWAYS use your E if your are going to join a team fight (preferably the ADC) because your Ult will spawn a extra tentacle for the spirit. Place yourself next to tentacles.

Remember to ult in narrow places, like the jungle. After you ult, use your W rather than your Q, since is has a instant cast time, the Q has a slow animation before the damege. The E is a great way to punish your enemy, don't spam your Q and remember that your W will reset your auto attack.

Overall, the build:

Ninja tabi or Mercury's Treads for boots. The Black Cleaver is pretty much your core item, then you can invest on Dead Man's Plate against AD or a Spirit Visage against AP. For the final item, build a Titanic Hydra as it will benefit from your health in late game.

For build, invest first on tank then on damage, against high health regeneration characters, make a Executioner's Calling and against AP top, make Hexdrinker.

If your enemy is pretty mobile, like Yasuo, Riven, Irelia, etc.. Build a Iceborn Gauntlet to slow the enemy with your W. If there is a lot of enemies with high critical chances, build a Randuin's Omen (bonus point if you use its active after your ult). If there is a high AD burst damage in the oponente team, build a Sterak Gage and if there is a high AP burst damage, build a Maw of Malmortius. Lastly, build a Frozen Heart against high auto attack champions and a Frozen Mallet if you want to slow your opponent solely instead of the whole team.

Runes: Flat armor, flat MR and flat AD.

Masteries: 12/0/18[/hide]

Generally I feel a lot of guilds are flawed cause they don't include the personal preferences of the player. I've suffered a lot of games from bad mobafire builds until I knew they were mostly bad. Lolking is a site I like to use cause it gives you the stats of the guide creator, and even then I take them with a grain of salt. Pro builds is good too, but I understand that could be out of date.

In the spirit of the topic, I shift between a few champs cause I main Nautilus requires teamwork that I can't always get, so I practice some carries sometimes. That's why I also use Kindred. I like the concept of either champ, but they're use on a team in completely different.

Naut:

Runes are attack speed, armor, magic resist per lvl, and movespeed. Masteries are 12/0/18 Strength of ages. I go cinderhulk, and either Righteous Glory, Frozen Heart, or Locket depending on enemy team and how the match is going. Ideally I want to gank a lot and help out in team fights, otherwise you suck and get outscaled by most other junglers.

Kindred:

Runes are armor pen, armor, magic resist, and attack speed. Masteries are 18/12/0 furvor of battle. I go bloodrazor, and build next depending on enemy. Usually I get a movespeed zeal item, ghostblade, or Maw if I'm worried about magic damage. I focus on stacks and work with my team on ganks, trying to control the map.

I've also been trying Hecarim lately, rushing Trifroce while skipping the jungle item until later. It's working well!

Edit: Oh hey, Hectech crafting just gave me DJ Sona. Neat.
