beats me. I have the gamecube, and I cheated.
Are you getting the US version of One Piece Grande Battle?
-
-
does any1 know if the codes for the costumes work for the japanese version. ive tried and i dont think so, but ive never been good at entering codes anyway.
-
Ha! It's funny. One of the artworks I required has a pic from the We Are opening, the one with Sanji putting the cig in his mouth. In Grand Battle they edited the picture so that the ciggy has blue stripes all around it and that you can see the beggining of the lolly at the end. Not even 4kids does that in the dub.
-
Also the one of Wapool disembarking his ship and all the people beat up by his goons, is a scene they cut from today's dub.
-
Does anybody know how to unlock the music? I haven't gotten any, and I figure it will give me something to do while waiting for the Crocodile code.
-
Chopper sounds like a chipmunk…. =( =( =(
-
Mihawk falls in the water: "Sacre bleu!" XD
-
to get the music you have to have Croc…or thats how i got it...i beat story with everyone on all modes and then used codebreaker to get croc...i beat crocs on easy and it unlocked all the music for me.
i am also waiting for the croc code too..using codebreaker doesnt give you his data.

I'm Trying To Unlock Shanks.. XD Buggy Is IMPOSSIBLE On Hard Mode. XD
-
I noticed that if a character beats story mode, they have an anime ending for them. Did they have that originally, and if they did they have it for Aokiji, Croc, Foxy, Eneru, and Afro luffy?
-
They had it for all the characters except for Afro Luffy

Not really, the game's actually quite easy even at very hard mode! You could try attacking for the first part of the game and get your opponent's life to atleast 3/4 while getting fruits to fill up your fruit guage to its max then let your opponent either hit you or jump towards the cliff/water until your health bar is down to 1/5-1/6 then just pull off the special attack! Initiating Buggy's special attack is quite easy! The attack has quite a wide range so you can easily hit your opponent to pull off the special attack!
-
I just unlocked Shanks and am now attempting to get Mihawk. Robin is easily my best character. I'm in love with her dub voice I'm not sure why though…
How do you unlock Crocodile and Bon clay? -
@Mr.:

I Actually Ment Battling Buggy In Hard Mode, Not Playing As Buggy In Hard Mode. He Never Stands Still, And He Always Sends Out Cabaji/Mohji AND Uses "Chop Chop Harpoon!" At The Same Time! So It's Impossible To Hit Him Without Being Hit By His Damn Nakama, And IF You Manage To Get Near Him, He'll Use That Damn "Chop-chop Harpoon!" On You, So You Can't Attack Him >____> Either That , Or You Do Manage To Attack Him, And He'll Use His "Bara Bara Car" (wich is dubbed Chop Chop Buggy, btw). IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO WIN HIM. XD
-
whats event battle all i have is grand battle, story mode Mini- games Grand Tourney and Training and ive asked people how d u get this and that and they say on event battle? i feel stupid -_-

Ohhh! The techniques I said can still apply when fighting him also! At first, since he doesn't use support yet, attack him and get him down to 3/4! Then, when when he sends out support, get your health bar down to around 1/5-1/6 while jumping around and gathering fruits until the support is gone! After that, time the end of one of his attack and hit the special attack!
Also, an attack which I think is quite useful when attacking him head on, especially at the start of the game, is jumping on top of the enemy(prefferably double jumping) then hitting O(PS2), which is usually an attack from the air that hits/stuns the person below you! You can use that while jumping around as you avoid the support and/or to stun the enemy to initiate a combo(i've found that Nami and Sanji are good at these attacks)!
Anways, Buggy is quite difficult attacking head on in a confined space(ie. Rogue Town Stage) when he has his support out, but with that technique, he should be quite easy!
-
The Chop Chop Harpoon is easy to dodge if you figure it out. Just run in circles while moving towards Buggy and grab him
-
I've found jumping a lot to help. If you can get a shield then just break through and pound him for everything your worth.
I finnally got Crocidile. He didn't show up until I had 50 hours on the game. He sounds like Odeion from Yugi-oh.

Did Crocodile just magically appear after 50 hours? Or did you have to do something to unlock him?
-
I think he just becomes available on the char. selection screen.

Could someone upload those missing endings? Don't use sendmefile, it doesn't for me.
-
I have good news, I saved a bunch of mone… wait that's not right, I mean i unlocked everycharacter EXCEPT Crocodile, and to unlock Mihawk in the US version all I did was beat him with my special attack... and not the whole thing... I think... but he didn't hit me with his at all  ! And for me hard mode an Very Hard mode seemed easier than Easy mode... why?
-

Odoen from Yu-gi-oh huh?… Is it a deep voice?
-
This should have all the info you need:
Thanks. I didnt even see that when I tried gamefaqs.
-
Odoen from Yu-gi-oh huh?… Is it a deep voice?
The actor has a fairly deep voice, and he seems to be a good match for Crocodile, but…
Michael Alston Baley already gave his voice to Axe-Hand Morgan.
Dan Green did the same for Johnny and Dragon. -.-;
-
On getting Croc… I think you need to beat everones story mode on very hard, possibly all difficulty levels, and then go through Luffies story mode on very hard. He hopefully (I hear it's random) be your final opponent. You have to finish him with Luffies secret. Then Croc is avalible in story.
Croc's voice Should have been just a little deeper.
Don't be surprised at the returning voices. I think 4kids uses the same five people for everything.

Well, I Was Talking About Zoro, Wich IS In Loguetown. But Anyway, I Beat Him. He's Like, 10 X Easyer With Nami XD, Because I Just Beat Him In 1 Try With Her

Ahhh! After playing Nami for the first time, it felt like she was one of the best all around players in the game and that's why she's one of my top 3 characters! My favorite is still Zoro though! He just has sheer power in his attacks but lacks in range! Usopp would be up there in my top 3 also but for basically the opposite reason of why I like Zoro though! Usopp has a huge attack range and has some wierd/awkward attacks that can catch your opponents off guard!
Anyways, does anyone know how to get costume C?! I know it's in the gamefaqs link I provided but I doesn't seem to work for me! So to anyone who has all the costumes, how do you get them?! BTW, this is for PS2!

In practice mode, perform all of the attacks for that character (only works for the strawhats to get their costume. I don't think the other characters have hidden costumes.) If you perform all of the attacks, you'll probably get just the practice stage unlocked. The command list will say whether or not you used that move (it has to hit your opponent though). This is what you do on the GC version anyway. Hope this helps.
Quick questions, what's the other unlockable stage and how do you get it?
-
Hmmm! I've actually done all that but when the characters weren't completed yet(still don't have Croc and I don't think I wanna do all that just to get him)! I would like to know the stages and ways to get them also!

What stages are there in the US version anyway?
I haven't played the japanese version, but here are the stages I know of/remember:
Fusha Village (Luffy's hometown)
Baratie
Rougetown
Drum Castle
Arlong Park
Eden Rock (looks like it's somewhere in Alabasta), which is an unlockable one
Another unlockable one -
Eden Rock (looks like it's somewhere in Alabasta), which is an unlockable one
Must be the Royal Palace.
The Marine HQ is the only one I can think of that makes sense here.
Maxim and Sexy Foxy would be cut, of course.

Just got the codes for costume C:
(PS2)
Hold L1 while you input the codes
Chopper: Triangle, < , > , X , Up , X , Down
Luffy: Up , X , Up , X , Square , X , X
Nami: < , X , < , X , Square , X , Trinagle
Sanji: Up , X , Down , X , Square , X , O
Usopp: > , X , > , X , Square , X , Triangle
Zoro: Down , X , Down , X , Square , X , Traingle(GC)
Same thing just convert the buttons as:
X = A
Square = B
Triangle = Y
O = X -
i tried that & it didnt work when do you have to put them in?
-
Ohhh sorry forgot to say that you do it at the press start screen! These worked for me and I just translated it from the GC version!
-
thanks hmmm i gotta make this longer there this should be 20 characters :p
-
Can I have my story endings now, Please?
-
Dude! That game completely OWNS!! I can't wait get my hands on it! The first thing I'm gonna do is play Sanji-san against whatever my sister wants to play. Probably Zolo or Shanks. Dunno but do any of you guys have it yet? Just wondering here.
-
Alright people… Behold... the REAL way to get Crocodile.
First you need ALL 15 characters (besides Crocodile, duh...)
Then you need to defeat each of their story modes in all their difficulties (easy through very hard)
Your play data MUST have 50 or more hours played.
Then you fight as Luffy in story mode (very hard) and Crocodile will be your last opponent. (It's not random, as long as you have 50 hours or more in your game data he'll always be Luffy's last boss until you unlock him.) You MUST beat him with Luffy's secret attack (Gum Gum Storm) or in otherwords... You won't unlock him.
It's not done yet....
When you go back to the title screen it will be different (this is a sign that Crocodile is available to choose in story mode)
Go to story mode and choose him (in any diffuculty, it doesn't matter)
Once you complete his story mode, he'll be available in ALL modes and the Alabasta Kingdom stage will be open as well.

Holy shit. All I did was beat the game with Robin.

Yeah, he's like the super secret character in the U.S version. It kinda makes sence too…. The guy is so good, he's cheap. His simple X X X attack hurts like almost half a life bar. He's easly the best character in the game.
-
Thanks for the information RomanGod.
For some strange reason, I thought that Very Hard mode was actually pretty easy (especially when fighting as Usopp). In hard mode, the opponents were just CHEAP. They just started wailing on me when I got right back up, so I started to fight cheap myself (not as fun when you fight cheaply  ).
I kinda think Bon Clay sounds like a white Bill Cosby (too lazy to see if anyone else has said this, so yeah)…
-
I'm leaving my Cube on for a while (since I'm only at about 25 hours,…)
after that, I'll get Crocodile (I stopped playing for a while once I got Jump Superstars..) -
playing the japanese version of this game i really like robin too but i try to avoid using her b/c i can have a longer fight. my top 4 guys i play with the most are
1. zoro(my best character in the game)
2. sanji
3. luffy
4.usoppi used to hate usopp in this game cuz his attacks were weak then once i found a good move with himcoughfirestarcough i learned more of his other techniques as well
-
RomanGod's method is the real deal! After leaving the GameCube on all day yesterday, my little brother and I unlocked Crocodile this morning! Thanx RomanGod!
-
isnt that bad to leave your gc on like thT. also thats pretty stupid u had to do that when all u had to do in the japanese was beat robins story mode, not to metion u could already play with him in grand battke mode andu started out with robin
