Fair enough.
I'll probably pick up once the price drops a little bit… or I finish SMT: Strange Journey and Bravely Default...

Good luck for a price drop. This game seems to be like OP: Unlimited Adventure or Xenoblade Chronicles in terms of it just getting more expensive as time goes by, especially since there were only 16,800 copies made, supposedly.

Welp, finally finished the game clocking in at around 51+ hours. Though I did see some strange anomalies throughout the play-through. For some reason, when Robin wears her CP9 arc outfit, her "Cien Fleur Big Tree" animation doesn't render the petals or the actual "Big Tree", though this never happened in her TB outfit. And Ace's "Flame Monarch" never rendered the flames while in either his Marineford look or his Alabasta outfit…so yeah, other than that, I would notice some slow downs in the ID and other prison related levels, but there were a lot of enemies, so that could be why. Wonder if anyone else might have experienced the strange special move animation anomalies.

Big tree and Monarch walked out on me 8l.
Also, is there a way to revert to certain arc costumes post-game? Or are we stuck with what we got when we're done?

This game is balls.
I saw the ad for it at our gamestop, and my boyfriend and I got super excited about it. A One Piece game for the 3DS in the states? Huzzah!
Pre-ordered it, got it the day it came out, opened it up right away to play, and then …
Thirty? Forty minutes later? THEN gameplay started.
I'd always wanted an RPG for One Piece that went through all of the available story, and this seemed to be the closest thing possible. I really wanted this to ... BE something.
It's so ballstastically boring though.
Yeah, new pretty animation, woo. But then it's screenshots of old animation BEHIND talking heads, and incorrect translations here and there. The characters models look fine. WHY NO CUTSCENES WITH THEM.
The maps or 'mazes' that you're allowed to move around in are even worse. Want to run around in an environment that looks the fucking same no matter what corner you turn down? THEN HERE'S THE GAME FOR YOU. Want to fight enemies who all look the same and you have to be AWAKE to realize they have different weapons from one another? RIGHT HERE.
Never mind finding out it's a port, so there's no 3D, but really? Everything looks the fucking SAME. It's not an open world RPG game like Dragon Quest or I dunno, ANY OTHER RPG EVER. It's got a fucking Mario overworld thing that plops you down into just the most generic little hamster maze you can think of.
My only amount of amusement so far has been the fact that some items change what they're wearing. But that's … that's not reason enough for me to want to play. I've only just beaten Buggy, but I can barely look at the cartridge now without wincing, and shying away. I don't want to play this anymore.
The worst thing about it is deciding what's the worst aspect about it.
The super long dialogue scenes with the shaking heads that sometimes change emotions?
Or the "sidequests" that have no story attached to them at all besides a one sentence summary. OH, CAPTAIN MORGAN MIGHT'VE BEEN SPOTTED AROUND HERE. OH, HEY, THERE'S RUMOUR OF TREASURE AROUND HERE.
It's either a fucking relief that there's no dialogue attached or just ... what? What? WHAT? THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE AN RPG, ISN'T IT? WHERE BE MY SIDEQUESTS.
It's just terrible. And terribly BORING.

So I got the game yesterday, and I gotta say, it's not as bad as I thought, it's an okay game. I'm at Arlong Park as of now and I've had fun with it, yeah the level design pretty repetitive but it hasn't bothered me, well yet, my only complaint as of now are the dialogue scenes, aside from the animated cutscenes, the speech bubbles or whatever they're called scenes take a lot of time, I usually end up skiping them.

**Cyber-Robin, Its easy once you get to know the controls..
So I have just defeated Krieg, Luffy was 12 lvl and it was still challenging, But you can do it if you use luffy's regen special to heal from Kriegs redicilous special attacks.. once the fight is over two cut scenes will be shown, and wow, they reanimated the end of the fight of their battle, it was pretty sweet : )**
XD kreig was easy just do this

Be at least Level 8 with Luffy
-
Buy 10x Fire Balls 10x Water Balls
-
Enter the fight, heal when you have to, use all balls up.
One ball hits 175.
175*20 =3500 Krieg dies, now Its Arlong thats hard

I was playing the game and enjoying it for a while - mostly cause I was playing while at the same time watching the olympics I guess. But now that I'm not watching anything it's kind of hard for me to find motivation to play the game so I guess the repetition bothered me more than I realized. I got up to the start of Enies Lobby. Just don't like how long and boring the dungeons can be. Boss fights were great but all the lesser mobs just became the same after a while and found myself running past them to reach the boss.
I skip all scenes now - they are just way too long and don't really do a great job at retelling the story (as expected in this kind of format).

Man Arlong was a pain in the ass, he was really hard. Wapol on the other hand was pretty easy.

Okay so I was finishing the battle with Lucci amd suddenly my 3ds crashed and restarted. Did anyone have this problem or knows what could've caused it? :(
