The European release is tonight, so yeah... making the thread before I go to bed.
Looks pretty good so far though it's torn WoW fans...
Whilst it does go back to the roots, people are like 'PANDAS? ARE YOU FOR FRAKKEN REAL?!'
even though Pandas are the most BAMFers y'all ever see.
Then we've got the Monk class thing going on... aww yiss.
And just before Brewfest as well. Fitting.
So basically y'all this is gonna be a thread for... well... MoP content and whatnot.
May be a little early but the livestream of the release tonight starts within the next half hour so yeah.

I'm going to the launch event in Irvine tonight.

It's weird, even though everyone I know who has played WoW has bought the game and resubbed if they had been taking a break, but not a single person is actually excited about the expansion. It's more "I just hope we can play together again, I miss you guys".

I don't get that sentiment. Pandas where in damn Warcraft Frozen Throne. When the lore was still pretty interesting that didn't need to get all contrived just to have people be able to kill any lore celebrity for gameplay reason. But I haven't played since wrath so I'm pretty disconnected with the community anyway.

WoW has been fun for quite a while but I don't think this will get me back especially since there are so many other interesting experiences to be had instead of the same old (which isn't necessarily bad but it's old).

Hey me too, maybe I'll see you there. I'm wondering what the turnout will be like, actually. I'm half expecting it to just be this tiny thing but I'm not really sure anymore. Even though I've played the game for years, I've curiously never been to a Blizz event before, mostly because I just moved to Cali. I share the common disdain for Blizzard as of the last few years, but I still want the expansion to be fun for my own benefit lol. I'm actually really glad that they went for pandas, something that takes some actual creativity to pull off, rather than a hurr durr Deathwing angst chaos world is fucked storyline. I like how the focus is on exploration and most of all I like how it has a diverse palette that isn't just shitty red and brown. Yeah, I'm definitely excited to be honest, but I'm really hoping Blizzard doesn't fuck it up. I found Cata to be just awful (well except for transmog and goblins).

It's really good so far. I haven't gotten far at all, only started The Jade Forest just 2 hours ago, but the atmosphere is amazing. This is exactl what Cata lacked, really fun, beautiful zones with lots and lots of lore packed into them.

I love it.

So I was kinda gutted because I can't afford to get MoP yet…
but I went on today (too much flooding, couldn't leave house, might as well WoW it up) I discovered that you don't need the expansion to have a Pandaren and play it ; 3 ; I'm so happy.
That's all I really wanted to be honest...
and those beautiful serpent mounts <3
Been leveling a Pandaren Shaman (can't make Monk without expansion) and I've been enjoying it ;D went Horde.

I'm having a hard time even figuring out which of my characters I want to play. I've parked my rogue, shaman and druid around the same spot, trying to figure out what feels the most fun. My rogue was always my main since BC but I'm feeling no love for him anymore. :( I think Druid might be the winner for flexibility. All the totem dropping on my shaman feels awkward now, unless I can find some good macros/keybinds.

Well (as sad as this is) I only have one level 85 and I'm wondering whether I could continue leveling my archaeology without MoP… cause I'm addicted to that shiz on there lmfao.
As for my Pandaren Shaman? Got her to lvl 17 last night. Pretty chuffed.
Until my sister tells me she got hers to 20 :I oh well
new record for me...

Oh yay we finally got the dragon turtle mount vendor on our realm and I got my Pandaren to 21~ <3
Gutted I cannae level my Archaeology higher than the Cata cap on my main but oh well…
the red and the purple dragon turtles look identical to me...
