Google Adsense + Taxes

Before I continue it should be established that I am 17 years old, which is why I have been presented with this problem.

I just recently had Adsense added to my youtube account, so this means that if I can reach $100 in revenue from people clicking on the ads in my video that I will get paid, which is awesome for me considering the job situation for teenagers in my town is shit.

So I only started this yesterday and today Google requested some Tax information. Since I'm still a minor I went to my Mom and asked her if she would be willing to put in her tax info so that I could get paid. She refused because if she did it means that it would be placed down as income from her and would have a direct effect onto her tax return in January.

I'm pretty upset about this so I immediately went to google to find out if money made from a hobby (video game playthroughs for me) could be put down as a tax write off since the money I make is going into new better equipment. Since google was no help I was wondering if any of you guys could help me. I really need to get some better equipment to improve the quality of my videos but I also don't want to affect her tax return. Is this possible?

You cannot have adsense if you are under 18 years old. Google has its means to find out your real age and once it does you'll be banned for life and will be forced to forfeit all earnings. Its not a risk worth taking so i'll advise against you using adsense. You can however put someone else adsense (maybe a friend over 18) and later apply for your own once you are over 18.

I have been using adsense for over 5 years now and have seen many who got banned for trying to cheat google. Don't do it.

I very much doubt there's a way to solve the taxes problem without affecting someone's tax return.
I have no idea what the criteria for tax write offs are in your country, but it's very unlikely that what you plan on doing fits those criteria.
Even once you're 18, it's unavoidable that sooner or later you'll have to have either your mother's tax info or to get a job yourself.

Having read up on this, you should probably wait because apparently google is vey easy to offend, without really knowing what you did, you won't even be told if you ask, and they'll just say that their decition is final etc. It's apparently really hard to even get someone to unban your account.

Exactly. People have gone to courts to get their adsense unbanned only to be banned again once google appeals in higher courts.
