So recently I lost my voice recorder that I use for interviews with voice actors. So right now I am debating if I should buy a new voice recorder or try to use what I have which is an iPod Touch (3rd Generation). It will save me money since the one I had before cost me around $40 bucks.
So I was wondering has anybody used any voice recording apps on the Touch and if they are any good? I see Voice Memos as a build in app and I never haven't used. I am also looking at an app called iTalk which seems like a good app as well. Are these apps worth using to record interviews? How well are they in canceling out background noise?
Some background on the interviews: Usually the interviews that I conduct tend to go between 10 to 30 minutes. Depends on the questions, how much fun the voice actor and I are having and if there is a time limit. Sometimes a private room is found where we can talk but other times I am stuck doing the interviews in lobbies or places where there are congoers talking and having fun in the background. So in the need I need something that can record for a long time and able to do a good job in canceling out background noise.
