Before you join i suggest you watch a game though, the games are in chat format and last only for a couple of minutes. It's an whole different style the forumbased but it can be fun.
I have bad experiences with the site due to lagging and sometimes not being able to say anything untill the end of the day though due to glitches.

I have refound frustrations of the damn game only popping up after 15 minutes of constantly looking (yes i even knew the number of the game but it simply didn't show up for me).

Yeah, though I prefer being here. Counterclaiming and bluffing are not my strong suits when I'm mafia there, I like the longer games on here much better.

I think I do, too. I am (almost) always very slow in making a decision and like to think stuff through carefully. That doesn't work so well at EM, though. Especially when you are not all that familiar with the roles.

I am with the EM-is-not-really-fun camp… it probably becomes more fun as you gain experience though, but its a lot different then what we do here, so any techs you learned here are useless. I remember one particularly good game we had there... which reminds me... where the heck is snocone? He is a born mafia player... him not joining more games is kinda waste in my opinion...

EpicMafia is completely different from Forum Mafia, I also hated the crap out of it, but as the time went by, I can't have a day, no matter how busy I am that day, where I don't play at least 5 times there.
Its completely different from Forum Mafia because, well, for starters, every setup is Open, which means a lot of the unpredictablity is lost and instead of us having to scumhunt, every setup has its strategies people need to learn and every setup has the mechanics people need to follow.
Its also real-time, which means you don't really have time to think out the things you say, which is both good and bad. You can't just go sleep and wait out as the heat on you dies, because while doing it in a Forum Mafia is normal (You can't be here 24 hours per day), doing it in a EpicMafia game means you're scummy.
Its a shame you guys don't like it, I have a blast there every day.
